Purely a mood piece, entirely created from shapes and fractals

Sandworms
I created this using a piece of free web based software called Bomomo. It is not especially sophisticated, but with a bit of layering and saturation it can produced some very interesting results.

Bristol Cathedral
This started life as a photo of Bristol Cathedral. I took it to include the statue of Ram Mohan Roy – an ambassador of the Moghul empire who died in Bristol. The photo was desaturated and then given a blue tone. Fractals were created for the misty background and the whole image was enlarged slightly to give the border effect.

Carnival Princess
Based on a character photographed at the Cardiff Carnival. The fractals aim to give the whole image a fun carnival atmosphere

Bi-Polar
The title of this creation says it all. It is built from fractals and set on a recoloured texture layer. It is intended to represent something that only those who have suffered this debilitating condition could even begin to understand.

Blue Petals
This image started life as a photo of castle in Southern Spain. After a lot of saturation of the blue skies and some distortion effects it became more like a macro photo of a complex flower head.

Crimson Mask
Nothing is what it seems in this image. The mask began as a photo of the wooden floor of Penarth Pier, The smoke is made from fractals built in Apophysis and the texture is a blurred image toned and saturated to match the theme.

Primary Pipes Triptych Primary colours form the basis of this triptych image which was an abstraction from a piece of street art on the Swansea waterfront, recoloured accordingly.

The Pirate
Actually the “Pirate at the centre of this image is the explorer John Cabot and this is the head of his statue in Bristol. The texture is concrete coloured to fit the sea colour scheme and the giant wave is a set of fractals created to highlight the nature of life at sea.
