When she returns, she starts her first job as a business development consultant for her friend George. AN ENTANGLED LIFE

Denominationalism Of God ... or ... Of Man

In this first volume, author John F. Lugger first focuses on denominationalism itself - does God approve of denominations? Is He pleased with our “worshipping in the church (denomination) of our choice today? The author then moves to the church established by Christ Himself in the first century - using the teachings of this church as truth, he then makes comparison with the first major denomination to emerge - the Roman Catholic Church - a comparison focused on organization and doctrine. By so doing, he hopes some light will be shed on what appears to be a very grey area for many on this subject.

About the Author

Having earned my B.S. from Ohio State in business, my career just started when I met Charlene, whom I married in the Spring of ’74. I was Lutheran, she was church of Christ – some decisions had to be made. After several years of study, I was convinced the Bible speaks of a church different than the one I grew up in – one established by Christ Himself. Following my commitment to that church, I became interested in the differences between various denominations, compared to what I read in Scripture. It wasn’t long before my interest turned to writing.

He tells of the political barriers, the diplomatic innuendos, the financial hurdles, and the organizational complexity he encountered, from the planning phases in 2012, right up to being in the cross-fire of the nationalistic Trump officials, and China’s aggressive “wolf warrior” diplomats where hard choices had to be made in November, 2018.

Mousetree

Two best friends begin an ordinary day together and end up worlds apart. This is a story that explores bravery and fear, doing what is right versus doing what is easy, and learning our purpose to love and help one another despite our differences. It hopes to inspire learning how to tell one’s own story and the importance of stopping and listening to others. It explores social injustices, life-threatening circumstances, and the journey that we all take: the long journey home told through the eyes of two young girl mice as they fight, love, and learn their way back home.

About the Author

Michael Malone, author and illustrator of Mousetree, currently resides in Granbury, Texas, with his wife Shermaine and daughter Erin. His journey begins 1956 in Dallas, TX, and has taken him all over the world while serving his country in the U.S. Navy. After the birth of their daughter in 1986, ironic circumstances led the little family of three to Itasca, Texas: a mysterious 1890s Victorian-style mansion awaited them. The house was far from a glorious Great Gatsbian structure and had fallen into terrible disrepair. It was here, in this forgotten home, where Michael was inspired to begin writing the story of Mousetree.

Rainbows End

Sometimes the 1300s come back to haunt us today. Rainbows End asks the question is the past relevant now? Our hero Zarfidi Virtue explores this dimension as he works his way through life’s trials. The reader can thus explore this reality with our hero and attempt to answer the same question for themselves. In the end, only the reader can make the decision that always haunts us when the fork in the road asks, which way do I choose to seek the meaning of life?

About the Author

Geoff Logan writes about the end time. This interest comes from his former Scottish ancestors who were Templar Knights of the old tradition. The knights were believed to have been chosen to build the last temple in Jerusalem and the author has spent much of his life researching their exploits. Geoff Logan enjoys travelling and exploring many of the historical places that the Knights Templar lived and played in during the medieval period. This book reflects many of those encounters and the author has attempted to place them in a modern context of today.

Three Long and Too Short

An engrossing memoir of a young boy growing up in a very rural environment of northern Minnesota without friends in a home with a physically and psychologically abusive father and mercilessly abused mother. Despite being ostracized in school and told he wasn’t college material, Tom Qualley graduated with academic honors and went on to become a nationally recognized marketer with major Fortune 500 companies. Despite his success, he was clinically depressed from childhood until well into his forties. Only after two years of psychiatric therapy (and a lot of advice from the late actress Betty White) did he begin believing in himself.

About the Author

Tom Qualley, a native of Lake Itasca in northern Minnesota, graduated with academic honors from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. He began his marketing career with Delta and then joined Grey Advertising as a vice president in its Minneapolis office. He returned to the corporate world as director of advertising at United Healthcare before advancing to vice president of Medicare Marketing Programs for Aetna. An adoptive father of two daughters, he recently relocated from Connecticut and now resides in Minneapolis with his partner, Mark, and feline friend, Kadin.

Throughout this book, we see how conversations, circumstances, Bible studies, TV shows, and Holy Spirit surprises brought about healing over many years. I wanted to share my valuable lessons learned in life with others. I want them to be beneficial to others. I went back to school and got my bachelor’s degree in theology. I learned of a new walk of life. For we have many godly promises and the gift of salvation.

You and Me, Never Us

An occasional mysterious dream man haunts Shreya in her thoughts and in the broad light of the day. She is haunted by reality as much as she is haunted by this stranger of a man. Her love and lust for him have grown manifold, and she does not know how to keep away from his thoughts. She is growingly becoming hotter and more tempting to him, and there is no way he can ignore her as well. Is it all a play in her own mind, or is there really someone with voyeuristic instincts seeking her absolute submission?

Zane’s Bark Saved the Day

One day, when Zane and his owner walk by the art gallery in town, the sheltie begins barking a warning that something is wrong, and he refuses to move. What could be going on? His owner does some investigating, and soon she sees the gallery owner hurt on the floor. Thanks to Zane’s barking, help soon arrives, and the little dog’s friend is saved.

In this children’s story, a small dog with a big voice and an outgoing personality becomes an unexpected hero in his neighborhood.

Denominationalism Of God ... or ... Of Man

VOLUME ONE

John F. Lugger

Hardcover\Softcover\E-Book | ISBN: 9781665577731 | $3.99

“One of the most severe consequences of denominationalism… lies in the jeopardy into which it puts one’s soul.”

Author Lugger makes a well-considered case that the gradual, historical division of Christian belief into a multitude of denominations that vary widely in their rules, restrictions, doctrines, and implied principles actually goes against biblical truth. Denominationalism creates an unstated competition among believers, defying the unity that Christ conveyed, and can also allow human will to supersede the will of God. To underpin his basic thesis, Lugger has devised two charts. The first shows the expansion of Catholic and Orthodox teachings, and …

“That the 58 pieces I have selected are ‘my best’ is, of course, a subjective personal judgment.”

Prolific poet, essayist, and humorist Levenson has selected from each of his previous books published by Xlibris, adding to that amalgamation here. The result is remarkable for its range from pathos and life’s ponderous events to irony, puns, and occasional near-slapstick comedy. He boldly asserts that laughter can be found even within Hebrew scripture (the Tanakh), characterizing the Book of Esther, surprisingly, as “the funniest book in the Bible.” A lengthy, fair-minded critique of “A Poem for Grieving Friends and Loved Ones,” …

Graceland Jailhouse & Rock!

Karissa Love Hope

Hardcover\Softcover\E-Book | ISBN: 9781669857587 | $3.99

Some ideas for stories are very intriguing. Such is the case with Karissa Love Hope’s Graceland Jailhouse & Rock! book. Just the mental picture of two teenage Elvis Presley fanatics getting locked in overnight in Graceland (Elvis’s home in Memphis) is imaginative. Heck, a story about a pair of teenage dudes getting locked into just about any house that’s not their own, is one simply ripe for adventure and mischief. Author Karissa Love Hope had a fantastic, original idea for this work. We learn in the book’s introduction how Hope is, herself, a bit of an Elvis fanatic. Thus, …

Helping You Through YOUR Loss

EXPLAINING, UNDERSTANDING, AND SHARING YOUR FEELINGS

Cindy Moynes

Softcover\E-Book | ISBN: 9781665564885 | $3.99

One of life’s hardest lessons to learn is how to process and deal with grief. Unlike many other lessons around the world, there is no one definitive and “right” way to do this, and everyone must experience and deal with loss in their own way. For while the pain of that grief will always be there, our understanding and capability of handling grief plays into the …

Prelude to War

THUMAR SAGA 3

M. Timothy Murray

Hardcover\Softcover\E-Book | ISBN: 9781669849193 | $3.99

From the action, the narration, the arrangement of occurrences, the layout of chapters, and the choice of characters, one can tell that Prelude to War: Thumar Saga will be a terrific read from the onset. The book is uniquely written, with the author focusing on unconventional themes, pristine penmanship and writing format. Science fiction lovers will enjoy the book mainly because the author went out of his way to write about diverse tales. Subjects on war and politics are common in this genre, but M. Timothy Murray was different with the topics. Technology, geography, female empowerment, dominion, and history …

Tangled Branches

William Bailey

Hardcover\Softcover\E-Book | ISBN: 9798823000697 | $3.99

If someone were to choose one of the most divisive and heated topics of discussion in the United States in today’s day and age, it would be racism and the combative nature of race relations between white and black Americans. When this issue comes up, it inevitably turns to the history of this conflict in the United States, and many people can trace those problems to the era of slavery in the country. With so much controversy surrounding politics and certain politicians trying to stop the education surrounding this topic, it is more important now than ever to get …

The Secret Life of Bears

Joann Slead

Hardcover\Softcover\E-Book | ISBN: 9781669855958 | $3.99

“Psst! Do you want to know a secret?” So begins the opening of a story laden with illustrations depicting a relationship between a young bear and his father bear. Not the terrifying bears which roam the forest wreaking havoc on hikers, but the teddy bear types; cute, furry, kind, and most of all stuffed with love.

Readers are shown a tale of the best dad-bear ever! A big bear who spends every waking moment with his child bear. They bake cookies together, go on adventures outdoors together, sometimes roll in the grass laughing, even talking about the truth about …
