Fix your thoughts, say what God says you are

Fix your thoughts On who you really are.

Recently Ihearsomeonesay letsfocuson oursin,and ofourneed to getrid ofit.Iimmediately felt a disturbance down in my spirit, because this focus was to last a whole prayer meeting time, two hours, the focus was on sin not where it should be, on God’s mercy and forgiveness, or the Holy Spirits work that he is doing in us.

I want you the reader to think about something here! If you were to think about, say a sexual sin; {that’s the most common in these days of so much porn and dirty shows on TV and DVD’s.} for say at least an hour what would be the honest result in your mind? You would

Then should I stop trying to be a better person? Do not be silly; of course not! But it is when we bring our weakness to the Holy Spirit and we submit them to him that true genuine change takes place slowly, practically unnoticed by you.

The Christian will continue to sin until the very day they die, because sin will always be there trying to destroy you, so do not imagine that because you are now a born again believer that you wont sin. Of course you will! But does God want you focusing on those sins or that sin in particular, no he wants you to focus on his mercy and forgiveness when you repent immediately of those sins you commit.

--------------------------

Fix your thoughts.1

Philippians-4-8-and now brothers, as I close this letter let me say this one more thing; Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about it.

Don’t focus on sin focus on heaven

Jesus brought forgiveness for the children of God the born again ones and the unborn again, the born again ones are the ones who accepted Jesus forgiveness, and the unborn again ones reject the offer of forgiveness. St Paul said, “I do the things I shouldn’t do and the things I want to do I don’t. So Paul knew he sinned and continued to sin and done his best with the Holy Spirits help to overcome those sins. You are no different, you also will sin, but this is not what you are supposed to focus on. When you sin, you ask for forgiveness, you focus on Jesus mercy and his blood which pleads for you on the mercy seat in heaven. You don’t focus on, oh I am a terrible person look what I done, no! You focus on the amazing love and forgiveness of Jesus the Father and Holy Spirit, who continually washes you clean with the blood of Christ Jesus.

The words of the previous scripture kept coming to my mind as I though of what the preacher said. And I believed he was wrong, I believed we should do what the word of God says about sin, repent, and look forward to receiving instant forgiveness, then forget about the sin and look at Jesus in his mercy.

What is the lord saying to the Christian who reads his word? Is he telling him to think about his sins, or his faults or failings or his need to change things? And by the way if you are trying to change you then you are not Christ centred, for he said his Holy Spirit will convict you of sin, and of the need for change. Change for the born again Christian is a work of the Holy Spirit, not mans work, because, though you may know your faults and failures, only the Holy Spirit can really bring about change when you realise you cannot do what is needed to bring about those changes. Changing the Christian from glory to glory is a Spirit work, not a work of man or woman’s flesh. Simply because, we fail when we try by our own efforts, to do a work assigned to the Holy Spirit.

Seeking the things that are above!

These are just some of the things you should be focusing on, and not on the sins you committed or commit.

Col. 3:1-3, 5-We are spiritually raised, but not out of the battle. “If, then, you have been raised with Christ, “seek the things which are above,” where Christ is seated at God’s right hand. Apply your mind to things above, not to things on earth; (why?) for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.....Therefore put to death whatever in your nature belongs to the earth.”

3

Gods word says to fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely.

Sin is not pure and lovely is it?

Another translation reads. Colossians-3-1- Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, “set your hearts on things above,” where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3For you died and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is your {real} life, appears, and then you also will appear with him in Ephesians-2-6-Andglory.

Don’t think about sin because if you do you will be on your way to committing them. Your sins have been paid for by Jesus when he went on that cross, think about the gratitude you should be expressing to God, not on the sin.

God’s word tells us that he has given us everything we need, be it healing, finances, peace of mind and heart, power, and Jesus; he tells us everything he gave Jesus is now ours, so where is it? As far as God’s concerned it has already been given to you but it is up to you to read his last will and Testament,{the Bible New Testament} and to see for yourself what has been left to you. It is yours in the sight of God; it’s kept in heaven for you say scripture, that’s why you should be looking upward.

Look at where you have been seated; you have been seated with Christ in the heavenly realms. This is where your thoughts should be focused on; the truth of God’s word, not giving glory to your sins which have been forgiven anyway, but you need to look at your real life, which scripture tells you is in heaven, this is where your spirit is connected with Jesus and also connected to your physical body. These things are awesome, to think that our Father God done all this for us weak human beings, actually connecting us to his blessed Son Jesus and making

begin to think about some sexual act you done, then as you continue to dwell on it you would start to feel aroused, then you would begin to take pleasure out of it, and before the hour is up you ready to commit that sin again if you haven’t already done so in you mind a dozen times, I know you would be saying, “oh I’m sorry God,” but the sin would have first place in your mind; Is this not true?

Seeking the things that are above!

God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

4

Fix your thoughts on this truth not on the lies Satan tells you, like for example, your no good, or you’ll never amount to much, or your a sinner and under condemnation. You will never defeat me I am too powerful, yet we know he is totally defeated by Jesus and is actually under our authority Mark-16-16.

Colossians-3-3 your real life is in heaven with Christ, and when Christ who is your real life comes back again you will shine with him and share in all his glories.

Look carefully at these following scriptures, what are they declaring? Remember it is not I who say the things they say, it is God himself in his word.

1-Corinthians –6- 17– if you give yourself to the lord, you and Christ are joined together as one person.

us one with him, think about these things constantly, and you won’t have time to sin, you will be so caught up in the wonders of heaven where you are sitting with and in Christ Jesus.

This truth is what God declares; come on you never really thought of you and Jesus actually being one person have you? If you or I believed this unconditionally then we would be walking in awesome power, I know we’re getting there as God reveals truths in these last days. Keep your focus on things above and not on things of this earth, where Satan is roaming about causing chaos and destruction causing sickness and disease and disasters all over the world. Focus on heavenly things, like, we are joined together with and in Christ Jesus; is he afraid of Satan? Does he have power and authority? Can he calm any storm? Yes and praise the lord he also showed me how to calm storms and I have done as he showed me many times, and the storms didn’t happen, Glory to God!

Ephesians-1-13– the father has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of his dear son.

Satan the Devil does not want you or I thinking about these truths he wants us thinking how much we sin and fail to live up to God’s expectations, Look at the previous scripture, what does it say? The Father has delivered us {that’s you and me} out of the power of darkness, Satan’s world, this earth; and translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. Just like you see in Star Trek the TV series, Kirk would say, “beam me down Scotty” or “beam me up Scotty,” down to another planet or back up to the star ship Enterprise. And this is exactly what God has done, beamed us up into the Kingdom of heaven out of Satan’s kingdom on this earth. This is the good news we are supposed to keep in our thoughts. These are the things we are supposed to have occupying our minds and then act on them with power and authority.

God the Father gives us a command in this next scripture and we think this is blasphemy or some kind of sin to think this way, {that’s a lie Satan tells us} yet it is a command from God to do this, let the mind of Christ Jesus be in you, in other words stop resisting his mind in you, go with what he says to you, be obedient and see sign and wonders and healing and miracles like you never saw before. Just obey this direct command.

1-John-4-17– in this [union and communion with him] love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the Day of Judgment, with assurance and boldness to face him. BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE, IN THIS WORLD. {Amplified bible};

Philippians -4-13-I have strength for all things in Christ who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who [infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency}. {Amplified Bible}

This truth is a tough one to understand, but it’s a truth nevertheless, as he is so are we in this world. Is he all powerful, then so are we! Can he heal the sick, then so can we! Is he a miracle worker? Then so are we! Because as he is, so are we in this world. Everything Jesus can do we can do according to God the Father in his word, Jesus done this for us, and these are the things we should be fixed in our minds on, not on I can’t do this or that, I can do everything through and in Christ Jesus Philippians 4-13.

Can you see what this scripture is telling you in the words I have underlines and coloured, “in Christ who empowers me, he does it in me?” “And I am equal to anything that this world throws at me, through him, who strengthens me.” And I am “self sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency.” In Christ I have everything I don’t depend on myself any more.

Phillipians-2-5-let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, who being the form of God did not think it robbery to be equal with God but humbled himself.

The lord is telling you quite categorically to let the mind of Jesus be in you; would Jesus think of himself as unworthy, as powerless, without faith, or as someone who has power and authority over all things in heaven and on earth. Jesus thinks only kingdom thoughts; there is nothing negative about Jesus thinking. And God wants you to think like Jesus thinks, that he can do everything, so can you, for I can do everything through Christ Jesus, Ephesians-4-13, there is nothing that I cannot do because I am in Christ Jesus joined together with him and seated with him and standing in the place of highest privilege, this is fact, this is gospel truth, this is the Good News that Jesus came to bring.

Philippians 4-8-For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honourable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, “think” on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].{Amplified Bible}

5

The old you is gone and is no more! 2-Corinthians-5-14– since we believed that Christ has died for us all, we should also believe that we have died to the old life we used to live.

We need to think of ourselves as holy people, not as sinners or unworthy people, we need to believe what this previous scripture tells us that we died to the old life and we are now living a new life in Christ Jesus and we are seated in heaven with him. This is where our thinking needs to be focused on, we are not to focus on our sin or old life we are told distinctly to focus on the New Life that God gave you through Christ Jesus. Paul doesn’t call the believers sinners or unworthy, he calls them Saint’s, God’s consecrated ones, do you call yourself consecrated, a Saint. Is your eyes fixed on your last sin and calling your self worthless a failure. Listen brother and sister there are no failures in God sight, there are on his holy children, brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ. God never refers to his children in the Bible as unworthy or sinners or of no value or worth, he calls us blessed, holy righteous, of great value or worth, as his Jewels that make up his crown; the very righteousness of Christ Jesus, made in his own image. When we refer to ourselves as unworthy or something like that, we are literally insulting God and Jesus who died for you and me. We are basically calling God and Jesus liars, we don’t believe what they did for us, through Jesus death on the cross, and resurrection. We chose to believe the Devils lies over God; can that be pleasing to God? I think not, what please him more than anything are his children believing him and acting accordingly, with holy boldness coming before him assured of a glad welcome.

Ephesians-4-22-Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unrenewed self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion; 23And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude], 24And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God's image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness. 25Therefore, rejecting all falsity and being done now with it, let everyone express the truth with his neighbour, for we are all parts of one body and members one of another.(

Philippians -4-21-Remember me to every saint (every born-again believer) in Christ Jesus. The brethren (my [j]associates) who are with me greet you. 22All the saints (God's consecrated ones here) wish to be remembered to you, especially those of Caesar's household. {Amplified Bible}

This scripture tells you very clearly to strip yourself of your former nature, God wont strip you, its you that has to get rid of the former rubbish thinking, so get rid of the old way of thinking be renewed in your thoughts, this like Jesus thought. Having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude, and think like the new image created by God in true righteousness and holiness. Your mind needs to be constantly changing, as scripture says, going from glory to glory, and growing more and more into the image of your creator. Let everybody express the truth with his neighbour, for we are parts of the one body of Jesus, and were supposed to share that truth with power and with signs and wonders. This is how Paul addressed the Christians.

Protestants have the same lie told to them in a different way they are told “I am” a sinner saved under grace. Declaring that “I am” a sinner is making a statement that you are a sinner now, being saved under grace doesn’t cover the fact that they confess to being a sinner. A sinner is going to hell; the saint is going to heaven. “I am” means that you still ‘are’ a sinner, your making that declaration every time you open your mouth and say this, ‘I am’ a sinner, “saved under grace comes later,” but the first declaration was “I am.” I am means that this is a now statement, this is what I am now; this is the state of me now. “I am a sinner,” first of all “I am a sinner,” then I am saved under grace, if you’re saved under grace then you can not possibly be a sinner still, as your sins were forgiven when you accepted grace, through Jesus dying for you.

Ephesians -2-18-For it is through Him that we both [whether far off or near] now have an introduction (access) by one [Holy] Spirit to the Father [so that we are able to approach Him]. 19Therefore you are no longer outsiders (exiles, migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share citizenship with the saints (God's own people, consecrated and set apart for Himself); and you belong to God's [own] household.

This scripture tells us that we are no longer counted as unworthy or outsiders, separated from God, but are now declared citizens of the Kingdom of God.

Sinners as scripture says are in rebellion against God and they and their offspring will perish in Youhell.will sin but won’t be a sinner; you may take a drink but that does not make you an alcoholic, this is what the lord told me to show the difference between committing a sin and being a sinner when I asked him how I can explain in simple terms to people. Just because you commit a sin does not make you a sinner because a sinner is, according to the word of God in rebellion, and scripture also says god doesn’t answer the prayers of sinners, but has an open ear to those who do his will.

What does Paul call the born again believers, “every Saint,” “God’s consecrated ones.” Wow! I am consecrated, Consecrated means holy, sacred, and sanctified. This is what I am supposed to fix my thought on, the truth, and not on Satan’s lies, that you’re unworthy or sinner. If you continually thought of yourself as holy, your mind would begin to believe it was holy, as it has to be renewed by the word of God, and it would eventually believe that you were truly holy, just like Jesus. Because if you tell a child its “no good” all its growing up life then it believes its no good, even as an adult who knows different but will still {feel} no good. Catholics are told every time they go to mass that they are unworthy, and that is a scriptural lie that the devil has used to crush the Catholic people, into unbelief, a catholic will always have difficulty in believing God’s word regarding their holiness because of years of saying they are unworthy, its not the priests fault but it is Satan’s fault he was the one who had a pope or someone add those words in, in place of the original text. And as Catholics we say those original text words occasionally. “Lord I thank you for counting me worthy to stand in your presence.” But we believe the unworthy part not this text.

Don’t go by sight but by faith in God’s word. Believe God over and above everything this world tells you or what Satan tells you.

When you join another country and apply for citizenship you are asked to declare your allegiance to that country, and stand with others who have been accepted into that country and speakoutaloudyournewpositionandallegiancetothatcountry.Isn’titstrangethatyouhave to declare with you’re mouth your allegiance to that country, and God expects you to do the same also.

You have been given the rights of the Kingdom of heaven, everything in heaven works for you; you have access to the king in heaven and have all the rights of the king’s subjects which he now calls sons and daughters. You’re a citizen of heaven. You don’t ever have to turn back from this new position.

Romans -10-8- 8But what does it say? The Word (God's message in Christ) is near you, on your lips and in your heart; that is, the Word (the message, the basis and object) of faith which we preach, (C) 9Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

My sins are washed in his blood The revelation-1-5

God expects you to speak out declaring yourself to be a citizen in his country the Kingdom Of Heaven, you are expected to confess {speak out aloud} the righteousness and goodness of Jesus Christ, declaring what he done for you, everything he done, not just salvation, because salvation is just the beginning of everything God has given you, and you have to speak aloud his word declaring it to be true and good.
