George makes two alien friend's

Chapter 1

George gets dismissed from his job

George sat in his office at work staring out the window and looking up into the sky, he was daydreaming that he was an astronaut flying about in space fighting alien creatures and great alien monsters. George! Have you that work finished yet? George’s boss interrupted his daydreaming. Wake up you silly daydreaming man, do you have that work finished yet? He asked George again, sighing deeply. George snapped out of his daydream and stammered, Yes sir I am all finished. And you are finished here also, said his boss angrily, you spend too much time around here daydreaming about space, go find yourself a job working with space things. So poor George picked up his last wage packet and his things and left the office, he was very down heartened.

On his way home George decided to call into the church and say a little prayer. Kneeling down George bowed his head reverently and said.

Dear Lord, all my life I have dreamed of being a spaceman and I have lost job after job dreaming about this instead of working. It is in my heart to be an astronaut could you in some way make my desire come true. He continued. I love you God and I only want your perfect will for my life, what ever your will is I will accept gratefully, amen.

On his way out of the church George noticed that there was a wind rising. Pulling his coat tighter around him he set off for home, but first he stopped off at his local fish and chip shop for some fish and chips for his supper. Getting a bit windy outside, said Hugo the fish shop man, If your not careful George it could blow you way up into the sky, and you would get your wish to become a spaceman, he chuckled.

Everyone in George’s village knew that George wished he could be a spaceman since he was just a little boy it was no secrete. It would make my dream come true, George responded in a light-hearted manner, and laughed heartily.

But what I need now most of all is a new job, I have been dismissed again, daydreaming as usual, he sighed. Here! Have these fish and chips on me, said Hugo, it will lift your spirit up. He wrapped them up in some newspaper and handed them to George who took them thanking his friend Hugo

for his kindness.

Watching George depart, Hugo felt sad for him, and whispered a little prayer to God for him. ‘Oh God, please give George a job where he could be among those working in the space department, thank you God, amen’

George sat down to a hearty meal of fish and chips and as he salted his chips George began to read the newspaper that the food was wrapped up in. His eyes nearly popped out of his head when he saw an advertisement in the paper. It said. The space company was looking for new recruits for a trip to Santo, a new planet just discovered. Experience was not necessary apply immediately. Phone this number 029863197.

George could not believe his eyes. Lifting up his phone he rang the number holding his breath. Hullo, can I help you? spoke the telephone receptionist.

Yes, replied George getting his breath back again. I am applying for the job, for the trip to Santo.

He waited nervously for their reply, twisting the telephone cord around his fingers apprehensively.

Could you start tomorrow? The person on the other end of the phone said. Oh yes I could, answered George hardly daring to believe his ears.

Then start at 9-0-clock tomorrow morning here at the office, the receptionist informed him.

Next morning George was up bright and early, he wanted to say his prayers, before starting his job. Every morning and every night George took time out to talk with God making sure God was first in his life, and today was no exception. In fact it was the greatest day of his life and he wished to thank God for answering his prayers and he made sure he was up early enough to give God his best and brightest attention.

After prayer George put on his best suit and tie and set off for his new job singing quietly to God hymns of praise as he went.

2.

George trains as a pilot

Arriving at his new job, George was greeted by professor Squinter, a small white haired man with a long beard and wearing thick-rimmed glasses. Welcome my boy, welcome, he greeted George warmly pumping his hand up and down till George thought his arm was going to drop off. Showing George around he introduced him to all of the staff, then he showed him into his new office and quarters, saying to George that this is where he will live from now until after his trip to Santo. George was taken aback, he did not realise that he had to live there on the premises. Oh yes my boy, for security you know and all that. Retorted professor Squinter, you will like it here we are a family run space program. Our security staff will go with you to your home later and collect everything you need to make your stay comfortable, he continued.

George was delighted, everyone was so friendly, especially the professor.

Over the next few weeks George settled in and got down to the business of learning to fly his spacecraft, he was amazed that he was the only one who was learning to fly, then they told him he was the only one going to Santo.

That everything they needed was on board the spacecraft and was run by computers, and all he had to do was step down onto Santo when the spacecraft arrived and hoist the flag of Temples where they lived. Collect a few rock samples and claim Santo for Temples his home country. It was that simple, then he was to get back on board and they would fly him home again. Simple really, said the professor writing on his note pad.

George worked really hard learning all he had to learn about the spacecraft and soon became an expert pilot even though he only done his flying in a simulator. Soon the day of his departure was drawing near and George was making last minute preparations. He decided to visit his friends at home to say goodbye and to get one last fish supper before he flew off. Calling at Mr, Hugo Places chip shop he thanked Hugo for his free fish supper and told him that is when he saw the add for the job of pilot. Hugo was amazed. God had answered his prayer and Georges through a fish supper.

George said his goodbyes to all his friends and they wished him well on his journey to Santo, telling him to invite any aliens he might meet to their village, any friend of his was a friend of theirs. Then George returned to base camp and prepared for the flight by having a good night sleep after tucking into Mr, Hugo Places fish supper who again gave it to him for free. Mr Hugo Place also gave him some fish and chips to take with him on his trip to Santo, telling him he could reheat them later.

Next morning George was up early and as usual he was taking time out to talk with God asking God to bless his journey and to give him thanks for answering his prayer. George never ever forgot to give God thanks every day of his life even if it was just for the fact that he could breath and could walk and talk or do the things he could do. He was a grateful man and even more grateful now his life’s ambition was realised. On this special morning George took longer than usual this morning to spend time with God waiting on God, telling him how much he loved and adored him, thanking him for giving him his son Jesus who saved his soul, and for his Holy Spirit who filled his heart with love, George loved everyone and everything God created.

At last the time of his departure arrived and an excited George stepped aboard the spacecraft. This was his first time in the actual spacecraft, and he was glad to see it was exactly the same as the simulator. The countdown begun once George was settled inside. 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Blast off! Whoosh George was away heading into space at last. He sang praises to God saying, Lord I’M getting closer to you, and chuckling at the thought.

Drifting through space gave George plenty of time for worship; he had nothing to do until he was approaching Santo. He spent his time reflecting on God and listening to God and worshiping him. George loved every minute of it. He always wished he could find more time to worship God and now he had all of his hearts desires answered by this job that God gave him.

Approaching Santo! The computerised voice startled George. Approaching Santo! it called again. Get prepared for landing it commanded.

George settled into his seat and got ready to take the controls.

Starting landing procedures, the computers voice spoke again, take control now!

George took over the spaceships controls and landed the spacecraft perfectly.

George to Temples, George to temples come in please, he spoke into the microphone. Go ahead George, said professor Squinter excitedly. I have landed the spacecraft safely, George replied getting ready to take my first step on Santo. Well done my boy, well done, called professor Squinter, well done well done he repeated.

Chapter 3 George steps onto Santo

Climbing down his ladder George steps onto Santo and feels so very light. The air was different on Santo and he could float away into space if it wasn't for his big heave lead filled boots.

Looking around him George saw that Santo was just like the moon with craters and hills and rocks, there did not seem to be any life on Santo. Taking out his flag he prepared to plant it firmly in the ground and just as he pushed his flag into the ground George spotted someone else do the same at the same time as him. He thought he was dreaming and pinched himself to see if he was awake. But no! There beside him emerging from a hole in the ground was a little green alien with a little purple flag he was pushing it into the ground just like George

, saying. I claim this planet for my country Aquaria.

Excuse me sir, said George, but I got here first and planted my flag first, so I claim this planet for Temples my country.

But the little green alien said, no sir if you please, I planted my flag first, so this planet is Krinkas.

And thus began a long debate over who planted their flag first. Then George had an idea, Lets look at my video recording and see who was first. So they agreed and watched the video, but the video showed both flags being planted at the same time.

Then the little green alien said, lets look at my video to see if it shows a more clearer picture, so they looked at the aliens video and George had to put on his glasses to see the little aliens video as it was much smaller than his. But both videos showed the same thing, both flags being planted together.

Lets sit down and light a fire, said George, I have some hot dogs we can share them. And I have some Aquaria beans, the little green alien replied, reaching into his backpack and producing a tin of Aquaria beans.

Soon they had a little fire lit and were toasting the hot dogs, cooking the beans and sharing their meal together.

What are we going to do, asked George, both of us have staked our claim for this planet at the same time. We will have to radio back for instructions, he continued.

As George and the little green alien radioed back for instructions, the ground shook where they were both standing, they thought an earthquake had struck, and the little green alien somehow or other managed to hide inside Georges space helmet.

This is my planet, roared a loud voice. Not yours, or his, but mine!

Startled George and the little green alien fell backwards and as they fell they saw a very large purple coloured alien.

You can not claim this planet I already own it, said the very large purple alien. This is my home, and I have lived here for hundreds of years with my family friends and relatives and neighbours. We live underground.

My, my! George exclaimed! We did not realise that anybody lived here, were sorry aren’t we? He asked the little green alien.

Yes indeed I will radio back to my planet and tell them Santo is already owned. I will do the same, said George, and ask what shall we do?

So both of them radioed home and asked for instructions, but no one could tell them what to do as neither had expected life to be on the planet. We will leave it up to you George, said the professor. You are our ambassador now as well as our spaceman, good luck.

Thankfully the very large purple alien was a friendly alien and so he was not too annoyed at George and the little green alien. He said. My name is Gerrrrunk, what is yours? And I am very pleased to meet you both. Mine is George and I’M from planet Earth.

And mine is Yourlsssss. I am from the planet Krinka. We are pleased to make your acquaintance.

Likewise, said George smiling, adding, would you like some lunch? You are more than welcome to join us. Delighted to old boy, delighted, but just let me get some Santo hashers I have some in my larder and he popped back down into the hole he made in the ground and re emerged a moment later with his jar of Santo hashers.

George in the meantime realised that he would not have enough food to feed their large friend with just the hotdog’s, remembered Mr Places fish suppers, and went and brought them and heated them up in the fire.

Before the three new friends tucked into their meal, George suggested they said a prayer of thanksgiving to God for meeting such good friends and neighbours and called a blessing on the meal. All three bowed their heads and said amen.

Then the three new friend tucked into their meal each praised the other for such beautiful food neither had ever tasted such glorious and different tasting food before, it was better than any of their own foods on their planets, and told each other so.

After their meal they stretched out on little sun-beds and George lay in his deck chair relaxing, and also wondering what to do next.

Then God gave George an idea. Why don’t they all do a trade with their different food. So George told them what God had said and they very excitedly said they would all agree. George Invited his new found alien friends to come to

earth for a visit saying they would be both very welcome, and they agreed, deciding to bring a supply of their different food to trade with.

The large purple alien loved the fish suppers and Aquaria beans and the little green alien thought the hotdog’s and hashers were awesome, and George thought that the hashers and Aquaria beans were just delicious and would sell everywhere on earth.

Setting off for earth George and his two new friends chatted merrily away, and the trip to earth seemed to take no time at all they were getting to know each other very well.

Chapter 4

George and his alien friends arrive on earth.

Stepping down from his spacecraft George was astonished to see that there were thousands of people there waiting to greet them, They were Television Cameras everywhere. They were celebrities. Yourlsssss and Gerrrrunk were amazed at the massive reception and they waved as the people cheered, smiling at everyone.

Professor Squinter approached George and shook his hand saying. Well done my boy, well done, you are a great Ambassador for your country. Come and introduce

me to your friends.

My friends, this is professor Squinter, he is my boss and the one who sent me to Santo, said George and continued saying. Professor this is Gerrrrunk from the planet Santo he is the King of Santo, and this is Yourlesssss, from the planet Krinka. He is their Ambassador like me.

Gentlemen you are welcome to planet earth, you are very welcome, said the professor shaking both their hands vigorously. Come and join us at a banquet in your honour and meet the rulers of our country they are anxious to meet with you.

Later on at the banquet both aliens were surprised to discover that the food laid on for them was Georges marvelous fish suppers and hotdog’s. Everyone of importance was there from the president to the Mayor, and everyonemadeournewalienfriendsmorethanwelcome.

You must come and visit our planets, said Gerrrrunk and Yourlsssss. Everyone would be very welcome. Especially George our dear friend.

After all the formal greetings and the banquet was over George invited his two new friends to come and meet some of his own friends, and taking them to the village where he lived, George showed them around.

When the arrived at Mr Places chip shop, George told them.

This is the great Hugo Place chip shop, that supplied us with our fish and chips. And they went inside. When Hugo saw them enter, he threw his arms around

George and kissed him on both cheeks. Saying. George, you have made my fish shop famous, and your two friends are very welcome to come here anytime and he shook hands with them and quickly drew up three chairs for his friends.

George told Mr place that he had a sample of Aquaria beans and Santo hashers with him, would he like to try them. Hugo was delighted and he cooked them along with his splendid fish and chips and hotdog’s and treated them to extra helpings. People from far and near smelt the Santo hashers and Aquaria beans cooking. The aroma drifted in the cool breeze of the evening spreading everywhere throughout the village, it was so different from anything they had ever smelt before and very soon a large crowd of people had gathered inside the chip shop wanting to taste this wonderful treat for themselves.

Hugo soon ran out of fish and chips and Santo hashers and Aquaria beans, but promised that before long he would have a new supply and they could eat as much as they liked. Striking a deal with the two alien friends he promised he would supply them with fish and chips and hotdog’s in exchange for Santo hashers and Aquaria beans.

Instead of writing a deal down on paper the three agreed to make a promise before God as they each believed that to make a promise before God was more binding than any signing any paper, and they prayed together giving

thanks to God for meeting each other. Wasn’t it awesome that three friends from three different planets three different colours and three different species could become such good friends, and it was all because they shared the one Lord and God, and shared his plan of loving one another as he loved us.

Epilogue

Over the next few years the three friends visited each other’s planets and made many new friends and shared many a fish supper with hashers and Aquaria beans. Which by the way became a national dish in all three planets.

Hugo Place opened many fish and chip shops on earth and on Santo and on Krinka. And many tourists from all three planets visited each other’s planet. And everyone prospered and everyone made many new friends.

When George and his friends got together to share a meal and chat, they never forgot to pray with each other and give God thanks for bringing them together. The three friends had lots of other adventures together but that is another story.
