The promises God makes through Righteousness

One
Did you know that God makes us promises through righteousness? And these promises are awesome; they show the marvellous love that God has for us his children.
{First promise}
Psalm-55-22-Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken 23 but you, God, will bring down the wicked into the pit of decay; the bloodthirsty and deceitful will not live out half their days. But as for me, I trust in you.
The promise in this scripture is that God will sustain you, {sustain means maintain, uphold, prolong, lengthen, continue,} and he will never let the righteous be shaken, and he will bring down your wicked enemy, those who come against you, and destroy them in the pit of decay. Wow! That’s some promise that God makes to you about your enemies.
{Second promise}
Matthew-6-30-Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or, what shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things. 33But seek ye first ‘the kingdom of God,’ and “his righteousness;” and all these things shall be “added” “unto you.” 34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
God promises the righteous person that he will clothe you, he will feed you, and he will make sure that you have enough water. These things he has added unto you because you sought the kingdom of God and his righteousness. What else could anyone want, we don’t need playstations or computers or Sky TV or plasma screen TV to survive but when you see on Television how many people in foreign Countries that are dying of hunger and thirst and have just rags on their backs, you can see how important this promise is; if you lived in Ethiopia, or Somalia or one of those African states you would know all about the importance of food and water and clothes and how important the promise of God to the righteous is.
{Third promise}
Romans 8:30 -Amplified-Bible and those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being].
Those whom God made righteous he foreordained, and called us, and justified us, and put us into right standing with himself, and not only that but he promised to glorify us and he promised to raise us to a heavenly dignity and condition and state of being. When we stand before God on the final day of Judgement the only thing you will have clothing you will be righteousness, the rest of the world past present and end will stand before him naked as the day they were born, but we are clothed in righteousness.
Forth promise
Job 8:6 God’s Word-Translation
if you are moral and ethical, then he will rise up on your behalf and prove your righteousness by rebuilding your home.
God promises to rebuild your home because of your righteousness and he says he will prove to everyone concerned that you are righteous. This is exactly what God did for me and my wife and family, we went through a terrible time losing everything, respect from people and losing our home and even church. {Read “A Time of terrible darkness is coming” in page one in my book page website.} It took ten years of disaster after disaster to finally end, and now God has given us a beautiful new home filled with his presence and peace, and has restored us, and rebuilt up our home. This is a promise I know that God keeps because I have the physical and spiritual proof as it has been done for me, so why should I doubt the other promises through righteousness.
Fifth promise
Psalm-18:20-God’s-Word-Translation the Lord rewarded me because of my righteousness, because my hands are clean. He paid me back 21because I have kept the ways of the LORD and I have not wickedly turned away from my God,
God rewards us because of the righteousness he gave us, and the rewards God gives are spiritual and physical, emotional and heavenly. When we have a need God rewards us by fulfilling that need, he never forgets a promise.
Sixth promise
Psalm 23:3 God’s-Word-Translation
He renews my soul. He guides me along the paths of righteousness for the sake of his name.
God promises to guide me along the path of righteousness for the sake of his own name so that his name will receive no scandal. There are many paths in this life and only one path of righteousness and this is the path that the lord promises to guide you on, the other paths lead to perdition, to destruction in the lake of fire. He also promised to renew my soul and that is a daily obligation, because your soul {mind} must be renewed by the word of God daily, and God promises to renew our soul but we also have to do our part by reading the word of God faithfully and believing it.
Seventh promise
Psalm 37:6 God’s-Word-Translation
He will make your righteousness shine like a light, your just cause like the noonday sun.
God promises to make your righteousness shine like a light and your cause like the noonday sun, what cause you have with God as the centre he will make it shine like a light.
Eighth promise
Psalm 103:17-God’s Word Translation
but from everlasting to everlasting, the Lord’s mercy is on those who fear him. His righteousness belongs to their children and grandchildren,
God promises mercy to those who fear him, and who are righteous and promises that same righteousness to your children and grandchildren. What a relief for Christian parents, to know that their children and their grandchildren belong to God and he gives them his righteousness. This promise is from everlasting to everlasting, in other words for eternity. To those who gave their lives to Jesus they became righteous a gift given from God to all who earnestly sought his kingdom and his righteousness; righteousness became ours as a gift from our loving Father God and goes down through the generations to our children and grandchildren, this is a beautiful promise because you can’t have righteousness unless you are saved and God promises our children and grandchildren righteousness and he keeps his word. Can you understand now why righteousness is so important to the Christian believer; through it your children and grandchildren are promised salvation.
Ninth promise
Proverbs 11:4 God’s Word Translation
Riches are of no help on the day of fury, but righteousness saves from death.
God promises to save you from death on the day of his fury when he destroys the entire world and brings in the new world. That death by the way is eternal death not physical death, your promised eternal life with him in heaven.
Tenth promise
Proverbs-13:6 God’s-Word-Translation
Righteousness protects the honest way of life, but wickedness ruins a sacrifice for sin.
Because of your righteousness given to you by God, he protects your honest way of life, righteousness itself protect your way of life. Whenever you see righteousness in this book realise that righteousness is the “gift” “of righteousness” given to you by God and is not a self righteousness, which is nothing but pride.
Eleventh promise
Proverbs 21:21 GOD’S WORD Translation
whoever pursues righteousness and mercy will find life, righteousness, and honour.
If you go after righteousness then you will find righteousness it will be with you forever and you will find life and that means eternal life.
Twelfth promise
Isaiah 54:14 God’s Word Translation you will be established in righteousness. You will be far from oppression, so you will not be afraid. You will be far from destruction, so it won’t come near you.
Because you have found righteousness, God promises you will be far from oppression. So many Christian’s are living in oppression because they don’t know and understand the power and importance in God’s gift of righteousness, he promises that you will be far from oppression but you have your part to play in this also, you have to know and believe this promise, and hold on to it as your own; Satan cannot place oppression on you unless you allow him, he can lie and tell you that your oppressed and down, feeling awful and if you agree with him you will, but if you hold on to your promise in righteousness you can resist him and rebuke him off of you. In this word of God he promises also that you will not be afraid, I know lots of Christian’s who are living in fear of the devil and fear that they won’t have enough in this economic times that we live in now at Oct 2011. But this is a lie told by their enemy because God promises you will not be afraid and you will be far from destruction, those are awesome promises because of righteousness God’s gift to you.
Thirteenth promise
Isaiah 33:14-16
New American Standard Bible (NASB) Sinners in Zion are terrified ;) Trembling has seized the godless. “Who among us can live with the consuming fire? Who among us can live with continual burning?” 15 He who walks righteously and speaks with sincerity, He who rejects unjust gain And shakes his hands so that they hold no bribe; He who stops his ears from hearing about bloodshed And shuts his eyes from looking upon evil; 16 He will dwell on the heights, His refuge will be the impregnable rock; His bread will be given him, His water will be sure.
The question asked here in this scripture is who among us can live with the consuming fire? {Consuming fire is God Himself?} and it says that he who walks righteously and that is us, God’s born again children that’s who can live with the consuming fire because that consuming fire does not burn the righteous it consumes us in love not destruction. And the promise here is you will dwell in the heights, {High above your enemy} our refuge will be the impregnable rock {which is God himself} our bread will be given to us and water will be sure to be there for us when we are thirsty, more great promises to the righteous. Sinners won’t have these promises only the righteous will; sinners are filled with trembling because they await their fate which is not very promising.
Fourteenth promise
Proverbs 18:10 Amplified Bible
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the [consistently] righteous man [upright and in right standing with God] runs into it and is safe, high [above evil]and strong.
The name of the lord is my strong tower the righteous run in to it and they are safe, evil men or women cannot run into the name of the lord that strong tower, his name is their refuge and strong tower; isn’t it wonderful that we the righteous children of God have a name and a place wherewecanruntowhentroublecomesandbesafe,GlorytoGodaloneheisourrighteousness
There are many more promises through righteousness, but as always I am a great believer in having Christians search those things out that I write about, so that they can see for themselves that what I wrote is truth, and not only that but when you search out the scriptures, they become yours, and get embedded inside your spirit and you grow strong in belief and faith when you see for yourself what God has done for you.
I recommend a website that I use called BibleGateway.com it is a great source for bible study and gives you multiple choices from different bibles to do your research and has search facilities and word search and text search.
