You didn’t get your prayers answered because ‘you’ gave up

God wants to answer your prayer, that’s why he created you, to give you eternal life with him in heaven, and your hearts desire; to prosper you, to give you health and happiness. We are his own divine children living for a while on this planet earth before we move on to planet Heaven the eternal Kingdom where all is well with us, and eternal happiness is in store for us. But while we remain on planet earth God desires us to have all we need and more, and he designed prayer as the means of communicating with him and he with us.
He knows there is an enemy of his and ours who will stop at nothing to stop our prayers from getting through, that is why he said in Luke -18-1- ‘pray until the answer comes;’ ** ‘or to put it another way,’ ‘talk with me until your answer arrives, remind me about your need I haven’t forgotten it of course, but for your sake keep reminding me, never ask a second time, I heard you the first time but remind me for your sake as I said in my word.’
‘If it was important to you then it is important to me, but if it was just something that passed through your mind and you just decided there and then, ‘I want that,’ and began praying, but then your prayers dwindled away until you forgot what you asked for, that was just a whim, and not a genuine prayer from your heart,’ and it is not that I don’t answer but you forgot to pray it through, you gave up, and even if it was just a whim, I immediately answered sending an angel with that answer, and he returned with it still in his arms and left it back on my heavenly shelf in my storehouse.**
{**I didn’t realize while I was writing that God was speaking through me at this point to you the reader, if you look again at that writing you will see that I was writing and then when I wrote –Luke 18 -1- it changed and it was the lord speaking through me to you, it changed from me to him.**}
Luke 18-1-New International Version (NIV)
The Parable of the Persistent Widow
1 - Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge that neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a widow in that town that kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’
4“For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think,5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says”.
7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
There are other scriptures that tell us to keep on praying never giving up but this is the only one that the Holy Spirit is showing me to write on at this moment in time. First of all we have to look at who is speaking,- who is telling us that we should always pray and not give up. It is Jesus the master of all answered prayer, he is the authority on prayer, and he is saying to us ‘never under any circumstance give up,’ even if the devil is dancing on your toes with hog nailed boots keep on praying and as we Christians know we praise God for his answers because praise fills our angels with power from on high helping them get through quickly.
Jesus tells something important about prayer he points to that unjust Judge and says, “Listen to what the unjust judge says”. Can you believe that Jesus points to an unjust judge to explain how to get prayers answered all the time, no matter how large those prayers seem to be? Now scroll back and see what is the judge saying about this woman who will not give him a days peace of mind, remember she came to him day after day for a long, long time before she frayed his nerves and he finally listened to her and gave her the justice she was entitled to. Jesus said this judge who did not fear God {whom he should have been afraid of,} nor did he fear any man, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think. 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice. So that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’
This judge got so worn out with this woman constantly knocking at his door day and night finally gave in for fear she may attack him; this woman was bothering him so much he became afraid of her and so relented and granted her justice.
And God says if this unjust judge can be forced to answer her request then he who is not unjust will answer our requests even more urgently; all we need to do is cry out to him day and night giving him no rest until he answers, as scripture says. But sadly Christians give up half way through their requests or forget about them except if they are really urgent ones, and sadly most give up thinking they are not getting an answer. But how wrong they are, this is the time when the enemy puts more and more pressure on us to stop praying believe that we are not getting answered or trying to get us to forget our prayer request; in the time of your greatest pressure to give up, this is the signal from the enemy that your request is almost there and so pray all the more increasingly, keep praising until the answer breaks through with your mighty angel delivering your request happily, and then he goes back to fight his way back into heaven past hoards of evil spirits in the heavens.
Now here is a tip when you feel the enemy begin putting pressure to give up on your prayer request then this is the signal that your angel is almost here on this planet with your answer. Your enemy does not intend to give you a signal that your prayer request is almost at the door, but he indirectly does by his habit of trying harder to get you to give up, he cant help himself and this gives him away; so if you are praying for something then this is the signal to go for it
hammer and tongs praying; and praising is even better singing praise is the greatest way to express your attitude to prayer. A person singing shows they are happy and content with their prayer and their belief in God’s answers, they can’t help singing and this drives the enemy crazy with depression.
Jesus said. ‘Don’t give up until the answer comes,’- and that’s straight from the horse’s mouth so to speak. If he says don’t give, then what you do? You should not give up, it may take a bit of time but your answer will get here in time for your need to be answered.
Don’t give up keep praying until the answer comes, no matter what it looks like remember Jesus words don’t give up. Your attitude towards prayer no matter what it is you need is that you ask and then never give up until it arrives and that means no matter what it is you ask God for he will give it to you, if of course it is not some ridiculous thing like the man next doors wife for your own, or something someone else owns. Don’t pray for a machine gun for which you can shoot your neighbour, you know you won’t be answered or better still pray like a machine gun for mercy for your neighbour, and that prayer will be answered. Amen
