STEAM Week

FAMILY PLAY FESTIVAL Friday, April 22, 2–4 p.m. at Meadows Saturday, April 23, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. at Main Sunday, April 24, 1–3 p.m. at George Reynolds Drop-in and play, sing, read, write and talk at Spanish and English activity stations. Families with children from birth to age five enjoy educational activities and take-home crafts and prizes as well as new ideas for family fun.

STEAM Week February 8-12 Try something new or sharpen your skillset during STEAM Week, a week-long series for all ages to explore new technologies, code, and engage in problem solving with gadgets.


DROP-IN TECH HELP Saturdays, 1–3 p.m. at Main Drop-In Tech Help sessions are every Saturday afternoon in the Flatirons Room. Sessions are limited to 15 minutes when others are waiting. No registration required for in-person help. Bring your questions and your device!

HOMEWORK HELP NOW BY BRAINFUSE Get free one-on-one homework help from a live online tutor. Tutors are available for all-subjects grades k-college on the Brainfuse platform. AUTHOR TALKS TO BREAK A COVENANT: AUTHOR VISIT WITH ALISON AMES AT BOOK QUEERIES Tuesday, Feb. 1, 4:30 p.m., Out Boulder County Get spooky this February at Book Queeries, our queer-themed book club for teens! Local author Alison Ames will be visiting to discuss her debut novel “To Break a Covenant”, a young adult paranormal/horror book. Hosted in collaboration with Out Boulder County for teens in grades 6–12. Registrants will receive a free copy of the book while supplies last, courtesy of the Boulder Library Foundation. EXHIBITIONS “LOOKOUT ROAD” Jan. 8–Feb. 23 on the Arapahoe Ramp at Main Liza Weems presents a photography exhibition focused on the plains east of Boulder. This area was the background of her childhood home and remains very important to her. She often visits these plains with her camera and captures beautiful landscape images.

“MAKER MADE” Feb. 4–March 28 in the Canyon Gallery at Main and at Meadows BLDG 61 is thrilled to present the return of Maker Made, an exhibition celebrating the diverse and inspiring work produced by the makers in our community.

“THE CONTINUOUS LINE” March 1–April 28 on the Arapahoe Ramp at Main “The Continuous Line” explores human connection through imagination and creative collaboration using the subconscious as a vehicle for dialogue. Each drawing has been passed along to new participants who responded with their own drawing, a process that is repeated to create long, panoramic visual lines of connection. Presented by Studio Arts Boulder.

“BOULDER VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT (BVSD)” April 6–May 2 in the Canyon Gallery at Main and at Meadows BVSD will once again hold its annual K–8 art exhibition at the Boulder Public Library. Art teachers from all elementary and middle schools will select pieces of art and honor the student artists.
