Welcome to the BU community! We’re really looking forward to the start of term and working with you to make your time here fulfilling and rewarding.

University really is one of the best times of your life and as Vice-Chancellor I am looking forward to welcoming you to Bournemouth in September, as is the Students’ Union at BU (SUBU) and the rest of the BU community. I am also excited about the new academic year. With UK government restrictions easing, we are busy planning a return to campus life and can’t wait for new and returning students to join us. Our plans include face-to-face teaching for all students on campus, complemented by online learning. This guide includes information about what to expect in your first week and beyond, your key contacts for advice and guidance, and practical tips about living a well-balanced student life. Look out for our email updates preparing you for the start of term and informing you of our schedule of events and activities to help you settle into university life. Whatever your interests there will be opportunities for you to take part and meet other students.
