'MARE AND FOAL' A bronze maquette and unique artist's proof by internationally renowned Sculptor, MARCUS CORNISH. To be sold with ALL THE PROCEEDS BEING DONATED TO ASHDOWN FOREST GROUP OF RIDING FOR THE DISABLED ASSOCIATION. Marcus Cornish was commissioned to create a series of bronzes portraying animals on sites in Central London: St James Square, Pall Mall, South Street and Clifford Street.
He also created the Victoria Cross and George Cross memorial in Whitehall.
He has work at Highgrove and was invited to be the official tour artist on a diplomatic tour to Eastern Europe with HRH The Prince of Wales.
He spent time as tour artist with the British Army in Kosovo.
Cornish has also made sculpture for the Church at a number of sites in Sussex and London which have attracted attention nationally and internationally.
His work has been recognised in a number of awards and has been featured in The Times, Independent and Sculpture Magazines.
He was the youngest sculptor ever to win all the sculpture prizes at the annual Royal Academy Summer Show.
