Welcome to the 2024 US Open! Bowls USA is thrilled to be hosting this prestigious event in Sun City and Sun City West, with their fabulous greens and generous volunteers. Whether this is your first visit to the US Open or you’re a veteran of the event, we hope you have an enjoyable, and personally successful, tournament. Welcome to the 2024 United States (US) Open! We are thrilled to return to Arizona after our last visit in 2019.
It’s wonderful to see so many familiar faces along with new ones. This year, we have nearly 310+ players with representatives from 8 different countries.
A heartfelt ‘Thank You’ goes to all the clubs and members of the South Central Division of Bowls USA for generously providing their greens, volunteers, and, above all, their hospitality to host this year’s US Open.
I would like to recognize the following clubs—Bell, Johnson, Lakeview, Mountainview, and Oakmont—for their extensive preparation and commitment to maintaining the greens. A special thanks also to the Recreation Centers of Sun City and Sun City West for graciously hosting the US Open at their facilities.
Lastly, I want to express my deep gratitude to my co-chair, Pam Edwards. Her invaluable contributions to every committee she joins have been instrumental in organizing this event. Pam’s support has ensured that you can come and enjoy your games and the festivities without a hitch.
Message from South Central Division (SCD) President
Hello Bowlers, and welcome to the 2024 US Open hosted by Bowls USA in the South Central Division. This event will be held in Sun City and Sun City West, Arizona, on November 1st thru November 9th. You will play on some of the best grass greens in the USA under sunny skies with daytime temperatures averaging 72 degrees F. With a total of 111 Women and 202 Men entering singles, pairs, and fours it is sure to be an action-packed week. I look forward to your participation and hope your experience is memorable.

Check-in
Players must check-in at BellLawnBowlingClub prior to starting play.
Check-in is open: Fri, Nov 1st: 9:00am - 4:30pm Sat, Nov 2nd: 9:00am - 6:00pm
Waivers
Livestreaming waivers will be presented at check-in for all participants to sign.
An official welcome & kickoff will take place at Lakeview Lawn Bowling Club. Following the event at the green, there will be a hosted reception at Lakeview Social Halls 1 & 2 plus outside patio, featuring wine, beer, other beverages, and hors d’oeuvres. It's just a short walk away.

Morning beverages and breakfast snacks will be provided at all venues. Players are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottles.

Please be aware that livestreaming and/or photography may take place at the venues during play. While participants may not be the main focus, there is a chance that their image could be captured in the background.
Emergency Contacts
Players should ensure that someone at the green has the phone and email information for their emergency contact. Please share this information with your teammates or travel companions. If you are attending alone, make sure to provide these details to the Venue Manager.
