Eden, an enthusiastic first-year apprentice, is currently immersed in the journey of pursuing a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology. Her passion for the field shines through as she wholeheartedly embraces the learning experience and finds immense satisfaction in her chosen path.

“Ever since I was a kid, I've had a deep passion for cars that's hard to put into words. They've always excited me. Growing up, I never actually sat down and thought hey, you can do that as a career!”

"When I landed my apprenticeship at the MTA, it was euphoric and emotional because I finally found what I want to do with the rest of my life. I didn’t like school, but my apprenticeship brings me genuine joy which is a fantastic feeling. I feel happy at the MTA and I’m keen to learn."

"Right now, I own my own vehicle detailing business. However, I have a vision of one day opening my very own garage. That's where I see myself heading in the future."

After discovering the MTA through Seek, Eden conducted her own research and spoke about it in detail with her dad. He expressed his enthusiasm and highlighted the benefits and security provided by the MTA.

“The MTA acts as a safety net, ensuring that I won't be left stranded if something goes wrong. You have a group of people to support you throughout the entire process so you always have help when you need it.

“I’m training and learning at the same time. It was honestly the best option and one of the most amazing things I’ve seen. I think it’s how education should be.”

Driven by a thirst for learning and personal growth, Eden aspires to become an exceptional mechanic and light vehicle technician. She envisions herself as the best version of herself within the workplace, constantly striving for excellence and pushing the boundaries of her capabilities.

In addition to her personal accomplishments, Eden recognises the significance of her industry's impact on society. With her expertise, she not only has the capacity to improve and repair vehicles but also to provide valuable assistance to others.
