Monique is a proud boy mom, Faithbased Leadership Co CEO of Monique Inc., a multi-six-figure-producing coaching and consulting agency that exists to give RISE to the best within marginalized people and communities.
Monique has dedicated her life to helping Black women and disinvested communities of color become fully transformed, restored and thriving confidently — breaking cycles of historical barriers and limiting beliefs. In addition to being a change maker, Monique is an avid traveler, recently co-residing between Cleveland, Ohio and the island of Sint Maarten/Saint Martin.
Monique received a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University in Journalism and Mass Communication. She earned a Master of Science in Social Administration (MSSA) and certificate in Nonprofit Management from Case Western Reserve University’s (CWRU) Mandel School, where she is an adjunct instructor. She also holds a Weatherhead Coaching Certificate from CWRU.

Carmen M. Scott is a Shareholder at Sarringhaus & Scott Co., LPA. She was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Cleveland State College of Law receiving a juris doctor degree. Her practice focuses on Estate Planning, Asset Preservation and Wealth Transfer, Elder Law, and Medicaid and Veterans’ (Long-Term Care) Benefit Planning. Carmen is a powerful force in the workplace and zealous advocate providing guidance and support to her clients by helping them prepare a plan for a better quality of life, preserve their wealth and legacy, and protect their future. She is passionate about missions that educate, empower, and help build sustainable communities and is active in organizations that further those missions.
Carmen is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland, the Next Generation of Estate Planners, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Lorain County Bar Association, and the Norman S. Minor Bar Association. She mentors newer attorneys and is a frequent speaker at professional events for these organizations. In addition, her civic service includes Chair for the Board of Trustees for the Hispanic Business Center, and the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland Pro Bono Committee. Carmen has been instrumental to achieving the mission and vision of the various organizations she serves on.
Her meteoric rise has been recognized throughout multiple communities. She matriculated from Leadership Lorain County in 2019. She was acknowledged in the first cohort of “100 + Latinos CLE Must Know” and 2022 Crain’s Smart Women Award Winners as a Progress Woman Honoree. Most recently, Carmen was recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, a Difference Maker Emerald Award for Inspirational Leadership, inducted in the Who’s Who in Black Cleveland and a 2024 recipient of the Crain’s Business Notable Latino Leaders and Notable Women in Law.

Alexandria Johnson Boone is the President and CEO of GAP Communications Group, a fullservice public relations, advertising, marketing, and special events firm in Cleveland, Ohio. She is widely respected in the communications industry and is recognized as the architect of LeBron James' media persona. Alex is also the Chairwoman and Founder of the Women of Color Foundation, dedicated to the education, empowerment, and leadership development of women and girls of all colors, hosting annual events for over 20 years. Additionally, she founded C L Magazine, a career and lifestyle digital magazine for women and girls, in 2014.
Alex is a graduate of the Cleveland Public Schools and holds a master’s degree from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, along with two Certificates from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. She has been involved with numerous community organizations, including The Club at Key Center, The SHINE Foundation, The Urban League of Greater Cleveland, and the Greater Cleveland Partnership. Rev. Courtney Clayton-Jenkins - Friday
Rev. Courtney Clayton Jenkins, a trailblazing leader, serves as Senior Pastor and Teacher at South Euclid United Church of Christ in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2010, she made history as the youngest, first woman, and first African American to lead the congregation, revitalizing it after a fire ravaged their historic building. Guided by a passion for innovation, Rev. Jenkins transformed the church into a dynamic, multicultural community and spearheaded a successful $8.15 million construction project, showcasing her leadership and vision.
Hailing from Cleveland, she holds a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Bachelor's in English Literature from Spelman College. Ordained in the United Church of Christ, she was the first woman ordained at Mt. Zion Congregational Church. As the founder of Long Walk Productions, she has spent over a decade crafting inspirational films celebrated at prestigious festivals. Among her many accolades are being named in Crain’s Cleveland Business “Forty under 40” and a YWCA Woman of Achievement. An accomplished writer and Certified Leadership Coach, she authored "Stepping Back to Step Up," designed to empower women in ministry. Collaborating with The John Maxwell Company, she guides historic congregations in strategic development, all while being a proud mother to her son Caleb. Rev. Jenkins' steadfast commitment to faith and leadership resonates as she joyfully guides her congregation and empowers the next generation with love and strength.

Pastor Sheryse Henderson - Saturday
Pastor Sheryse Henderson is the Senior Pastor of Faith Fellowship Church, a multicultural, multigenerational congregation united as one family in God. With over 25 years of ministry experience, she is deeply passionate about seeing the lost saved, the hurt healed, and the church embodying the love of Jesus in the world. Her teaching is relevant and relatable, challenging hearers to re-examine their relationship with Jesus and others.
Author of "Healing Church Hurt – Walking the Path," Pastor Henderson draws on her firsthand experience with church hurt and healing. She is serving her third term as president of the Nordonia Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council and holds degrees in Business Leadership and Executive Leadership from Liberty University. Celebrating 25 years of marriage, she and her husband, Pastor Jon Henderson, have two college-aged sons, Jon and Joshua. They enjoy family time, supporting their sons' pursuits, and being entertained by their dog, Simba.
Dr. Natalie M. Whitlow - Saturday
Dr. Natalie M. Whitlow is a dynamic Black psychologist licensed in Ohio, providing transformative services through her private practice, “Our Village: A Service Organization, LLC.” Her mission is to shift perceptions of mental health to minimize stigma and fear, helping individuals attain optimal mental health. Partnering with organizations like the Cleveland Clinic, NAMI, Fortune 500 corporations, and churches, she facilitates mental health workshops and trainings. Dr. Whitlow developed the Whitlow Measure of Afrocentric Relationship Attitudes Scale (Whitlow-MARA), the first such scale created by a Black professional for Black couples. She also performs disability assessments for Ohio’s Social Security Disability Department and the Veteran’s Administration.
Dr. Whitlow holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a bachelor’s degree from Clark Atlanta University. Raised in Hampton, Virginia, she is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Ohio Psychologists Association, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Jack and Jill of America, and CARATS, Incorporated.
Danita Harris - Sunday
Danita Harris is a motivator, minister, community advocate, and award-winning journalist, currently serving as WKYC's morning anchorwoman. Devoted to her passion for empowering others, Danita founded the initiative “It’s Your Time to S.H.I.N.E.” in 2016 to help individuals discover their divine light. As an ordained reverend, her spiritual faith guides her efforts in providing safe havens and outreach through the S.H.I.N.E. organization, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
In 2018, she launched the S.H.I.N.E. Girlz Mentoring Program for girls in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and later expanded it to boys in partnership with former NFL player Josh Cribbs, resulting in the creation of S.H.I.N.E. Men of Integrity in 2023. Born in Chester, PA, Danita has dedicated 35 years to the TV news industry, earning a place in the "HistoryMakers Collection" at the Library of Congress in 2023. A woman of God since the 8th grade, she teaches Effective Communication in Ministry at the Ohio Leadership Academy of the Cleveland Baptist Association and enjoys jazz and gospel music.

Meltrice D. Sharp, CPA, MBA is a native of Cleveland Ohio and a managing partner at Creating Leading Enterprises (CLE) Consulting Firm, an accounting and consulting firm offering accounting, tax, payroll and business consulting services to small and middle market companies, nonprofit organizations, religious organizations, and individuals.
With more than twenty years as a CPA, Meltrice has extensive knowledge and experience in accounting, tax, management, finance, and business consulting.
She started her accounting career at Ernst & Young as an auditor. She remained there for four years before joining Forest City Enterprises, where she served in a variety of accounting and finance positions for the next thirteen years. Inspired by a deep desire to use all she had learned over the previous two decades to chart a path of her own, she decided in 2017 to begin her journey as an entrepreneur.
Meltrice received her BBA with a concentration in accounting from Kent State University and her MBA from Baldwin-Wallace University. She is an adjunct instructor at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C), where she teaches a variety of accounting courses.
Meltrice is the Founding Member of Women Creating Wealth & Impact, an organization that addresses the education, knowledge, and access gaps with women and finance. She is the Treasurer of the Deaconess Foundation, University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children Foundation and the National Association of Minority Contractors, Northern Ohio (NAMC). Meltrice serves on the Audit Committee Board for Cuyahoga County. She is a trustee for the YWCA, and the Women of Color Foundation.
Meltrice is also a member of the Business Advisory Committee for Tri-C and the Marketing Advisory Committee for JumpStart. Meltrice is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Alpha Omega Chapter of Cleveland, Ohio. She is the author of Aubrie’s Adventure to Cashland, a children's book that teaches children the importance of giving back and how making wise money decisions can positively impact their lives and community.
Meltrice devotes a significant amount of her personal time civically, giving back to her community. She attends Faith Fellowship Church and is a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her favorite pastime is hanging out with her family and telling corny jokes. (Her children remind her that her jokes are not funny while they are laughing.) Meltrice’s guilty pleasure is vegging out on the sofa and watching reality TV shows.

Attorney Jazmine started her own law practice at the age of 27, just two days after giving birth to her second child and receiving her bar exam results on Halloween in 2008. She earned her bachelor's degree from Fisk University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2003, and her Law Degree from Ohio Northern University in 2008. Jazmine is licensed in the Northern and Southern District of Ohio Federal Court, a Certified Mediator, and a Licensed Title Agent. Professor Veranda Rodgers, MBA, is a dynamic and accomplished individual who has significantly contributed to health and human services, education, philanthropy, and community leadership. As the founder, president, and CEO of Pregnant with Possibilities Resource Center and Bloom Behavioral Health, Veranda has dedicated herself to supporting and empowering youth, pregnant women, and mothers.
Veranda's passion for education extends beyond advocating for the health and well-being of women and children. She serves as an adjunct professor at Cuyahoga Community College, where she shares her business and marketing expertise with students, inspiring them to reach their full potential. Her commitment to education and ability to connect with students have earned her admiration and respect from both colleagues and students alike.
In addition to her work in education, Veranda is deeply involved in philanthropy and community service. She serves as the marketing chair of the Black Professional Association Charitable Foundation, facilitating a professional development pipeline for students, aspiring professionals, and civic leaders in Northeast Ohio. She is also a board trustee of the Cleveland State University Alumni Association, where she connects alumni, fosters community, and advocates for the university's graduates.
Veranda's exemplary work and commitment to her community have not gone unnoticed. She was recently honored with the 2023 Community Hero Award from the Cuyahoga Democratic Women's Caucus. Her outstanding contributions also earned her recognition from the Soul of Philanthropy as the 2022 Outstanding Young Adult Philanthropist of the Year.
Veranda credits her journey from teen mom to CEO for the fortitude to face any challenge. Her drive, compassion, and commitment to making a difference fuel her inspiration to motivate others to become the best version of themselves. A graduate of Case Western Reserve University and The University of Southern California, Connie is regarded as both a dynamic motivational leader and speaker who shares with audiences her entrepreneurial journey owning a homecare agency, which began in her early 40’s. Her practice focuses on Estate Planning, Asset Preservation and Wealth Transfer, Elder Law, and Medicaid and Veterans’ (Long-Term Care) Benefit Planning. Carmen is a powerful force in the workplace and zealous advocate providing guidance and support to her clients by helping them prepare a plan for a better quality of life, preserve their wealth and legacy, and protect their future. She is passionate about missions that educate, empower, and help build sustainable communities and is active in organizations that further those missions.
Carmen is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland, the Next Generation of Estate Planners, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Lorain County Bar Association, and the Norman S. Minor Bar Association. She mentors newer attorneys and is a frequent speaker at professional events for these organizations. In addition, her civic service includes Chair for the Board of Trustees for the Hispanic Business Center, and the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland Pro Bono Committee. Carmen has been instrumental to achieving the mission and vision of the various organizations she serves on.
Her meteoric rise has been recognized throughout multiple communities. She matriculated from Leadership Lorain County in 2019. She was acknowledged in the first cohort of “100 + Latinos CLE Must Know” and 2022 Crain’s Smart Women Award Winners as a Progress Woman Honoree. Most recently, Carmen was recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, a Difference Maker Emerald Award for Inspirational Leadership, inducted in the Who’s Who in Black Cleveland and a 2024 recipient of the Crain’s Business Notable Latino Leaders and Notable Women in Law.

Lauretta Y. Amanor was born in Accra, Ghana, and grew up on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations and Social Media Communications from Ursuline College and her Master's Degree in Public Administration from Cleveland State University (CSU). As part of the Cleveland Foundation's Public Service Fellowship Program, Lauretta worked with Cuyahoga County, Job and Family Services, and Invest In Children, promoting Universal Pre-K programs.
Currently, Lauretta is an Events Manager, Program & HQ Engagement at the Cleveland Foundation, coordinating events and community engagements in the MidTown collaboration district. She is also an entrepreneur, founding ventures like byAtterual, Young Ghanaian Professionals of Greater Cleveland, and Luxe Soiree + Bridal Bestie Event Management & Consulting. Driven by her commitment to volunteerism, she founded the Blushing Orchids Mentoring Academy to empower young women in Cleveland and Ghana. Born and raised in Cleveland Ohio, Kierra is a 3x- Emmy Award winning media professional and host. After graduating from the E.W Scripps School of Journalist at Ohio University, she returned to her hometown determined to make her broadcasting dreams a reality. She began her professional career at WKYC- Channel 3, and later joined the Cleveland Cavaliers organization. In 2024, she pivoted from TV broadcasting to corporate communications.
