Assist in detailing of the grocery store, both plans and wall sections. Research and execute loading dock and parking drainage and lighting. Coordinate structural drawings with our Revit model. +Responsibilities (Renovation): Use personal field measurements to create existing conditions in Revit. Material selections. +Fourth Year Spring, Off-Campus Study +Partners: Journey Roth + Ruxin Tao +Program: Transform Neuhoff Slaughterhouse campus ruins into a new Nashville neighborhood for artists. +Location: Nashville Tennessee +Objectives: Each section of the site was addressed by a different team member. Together we created a walkable neighborhood that combines residential, retail, and event spaces. My section, the old Holding Pen, was designed to be a high-end furniture showroom and fitness center for those living in the residential units. Each space is connected to one another through the landscaping.

+URBAN GRAND HOTEL

+Fourth Year Spring +Program: An urban hotel with rooftop bar and conference center, with easy access into the neighborhood surrounding it. +Location: Downtown Nashville, Tennessee +Objectives: Create an urban hotel in which visitors can dine, relax, and enjoy the city life at a grand scale. The neighborhood and grounds are designed to constantly direct one’s attention back out into the landscape and city. The large circular atrium pulls the visitor towards the sky then pushes them back out towards the Nashville skyline on the rooftop.

+Fourth Year Fall, Integrations +Partners: Elizabeth Carter + Allison Sonnenberg +Program: A 300,000 sqft Museum for the Tennessee Valley Authority. Including a Visitor’s Center, Boat Marina connection to the Greenway, and Restaurant. +Location: Knoxville, Tennessee +Objectives: Create an environmentally conscience, open plan interior that is flexible enough that it can be adapted for several uses and exhibits.

+Third Year Summer, Study Abroad Finland +Program: Design spaces in which students will Live, Dream, and Pray while attending the Finland Summer Architecture Institute. +Location: Helsinki, Finland +Objectives: Using different materials for each programmatic element allows one to experience special moments from different vantage points when moving through the site.
