+Second Year Spring +Program: Herbarium for the University of Virginia. Including an Archive, Gallery, Reading Space, and large work area. +Location: Charlottesville, Virginia +Objectives: While most of the site is underground, the Archive is pushed to a higher position. With a change in its materiality, one can easily discern the importance of the space. Furthermore, a grove of trees creates a separation between the professional space of the Herbarium and the public amphitheater seating.
