Corporate Gardens Prinsenhof The Hague, The Netherlands (2000–2008)

The Prinsenhof’s Corporate Gardens have been completed. Spaces cut away from the main building act as gardens. Occasionally these spaces continue on into the building. These interior gardens contain the reception and entrance to the hotel and offices. The exterior gardens function as public meeting places. One of the gardens has been specially designed as a playground for the adjacent day-care centre. The materials chosen for both

interior and exterior gardens, dark granite tiles, broken slate and corten steel paths, accentuate the relationship between the two. Pines have been planted aslant and are lit by LED lamps in a different colour in each garden. The colours vary from white-yellow, blue-green to purple-red. Each garden has its own distinctive undergrowth to support the individual character of each garden.
