Happy summer! We hope that in the weeks ahead you are able to spend time with your loved ones, enjoy rejuvenation or take advantage of summer hours, if applicable.
If you haven’t already done so, a friendly reminder to set your out-of-office message, with colleagues available in your absence. Discuss vacation time with your supervisor and review the five day carry-over limit, starting with the new fiscal year, July 1.
We are thrilled to officially celebrate our new partnership and colleagues from Cambridge College! This month we feature two new Cambridge members to the Human Resources team!
Another new and meaningful roll-out is the Student Mental Health required training through United Educators, for all faculty and staff, due Sept. 1. This program further enhances our community awareness and support for student success.
Lastly, the Core Values subcommittees have provided a year-end summary. HR resources to support Core Values in July include free health, well-being and financial webinars, such as strategies to support aging parents, social media and finances for women. Don’t miss Bay Path’s Dr Joshua Weiss in our featured July leadership development webinar on managing conflict in the workplace and empowering confidence.
Have a wonderful holiday Bay Path Community!

OUT OF OFFICE REMINDERS
With so many folks using up their vacation time and participating in Bay Path summer hours, it is important to be mindful of staffing coverage when you and/or your teammates are taking time off
We encourage you to work out your PTO with your supervisor and co-workers to ensure that your department maintains adequate coverage. This can be accomplished by rotating or alternating schedules. We also recommend marking days off on your Google calendar so others are made aware of your modified availability.
Be sure to remember to set your out-of-office messages and indicate who the best point of contact would be in your absence to keep the needs of your fellow community members in mind while you are away. This way we can maintain service standards during the slower summer months.
