CORE VALUE OF THE MONTH
We Are Committed to Equity
We share honest acknowledgment that pervasive, enduring, and corrosive structural inequities have caused BIPOC communities to suffer. Too, we recognize the uncomfortable and incontrovertible truth that ours is a world of imbalanced access to opportunities and resources. We are committed to leveling the playing field for those who are disproportionately impacted by unfair systems and pledge to create a community where all members participate justly, fairly, and fully.
GOLDEN COMPASS AWARD CALL
FOR NOMINATIONS
We will continue the presentation of our monthly Golden Compass Award! As we know, the Bay Path Golden Compass Award is intended to highlight a small but mighty act of how our colleagues are working to bring our Core Values to life. All community members are encouraged to nominate a peer they want to commend for being intentional when applying the Bay Path Core Values to their work and relationships.
February's community lunch will highlight Black History Month Luncheon. Our lunch is currently scheduled for February 15th, 2024 where we will present the next Golden Compass Winner with their very own engraved golden compass. The link to submit your nomination is HERE.
If you ' re new to the University, consider reviewing the Core Values section on the BPU Community Page.

Golden Compass Award Winner for March!
Tanya Coles-Dailey Assistant Director of Counseling Center
Nominated by:
Ashley
Martins, Senior Director of Advising
Tanya, Assistant Director of Health & Wellness/Counseling Center, tirelessly supports our students and connects them to social services and counseling resources to assist with their personal circumstances. These circumstances often times have a big impact on a student's academics and their ability to thrive in our community. With Tanya's help, we are able to provide students with options that are best suited for them. The Advising team is incredibly thankful to have Tanya as a support for our students as the need is great (more than I think may be recognized!) Tanya's work involves hearing about and getting involved in sensitive and emotionally charged situations and I am always impressed with how she can keep a positive attitude, composure, and a strong sense of hope. Tanya is a breath of fresh air and I love working with her to help our students be their best selves. It is worth noting that we need to clone Tanya as it is a job that is difficult to do alone!
Learn more about our Core Values on our dedicated page on the Bay Path Community Portal, where you can access the valuable resources we are crafting for all members of our community! PAGE 4 HUMAN RESOURCES NEWSLETTER | MARCH 2024
