BASIC SCHOOL Information
Shadow Information & Applications: St. Mary’s shadow program runs Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and includes a tour of the school and lunch. Eighth graders and transfer students are welcome from mid-September through April. Seventh grade students are welcome from mid-September through April. Schedule your shadow or request an application by contacting Katie Albin, Director of Admissions, at 314-481-8400 x110 or admissions@stmaryshs.com. Tuition and Tuition Assistance: Tuition for the 2015-2016 school year for freshmen is $10,080.00. Tuition includes the $340 registration fee, the $280 one-time Google Chromebook purchase fee, all books, art sketchpads, freshmen portfolios, online subscriptions and most field trips. There are athletic fees for student athletes and a small graduation fee senior year.
St. Mary’s continues to provide a quality education at a price much lower than other schools because our alumni believe in our mission. Many of our alumni give back to our school annually, allowing us to provide tuition assistance to over 65% of our students. We do offer some scholarships.

Honors Program: St. Mary’s offers honors courses at every grade level. Based on standardized scores and previous report cards, freshmen may be placed in honors courses in Math, Science, English and Social Studies Technology: • 1:1 Device Program in which every student has a Google Chromebook. • A MAC lab for our Graphic Design, Animation and Architectural Design classes and two PC labs for our first Project Lead the Way course-Introduction to Computer Science • Science Labs have digital microscopes, laptops & digital probes • Wireless Campus so students can access the network anywhere • Several advanced technology courses including Graphic Design, Architectural Design, Animation, and Videomaking • Classroom instruction integrated with subject specific webquests, virtual field trips, video conferencing and google apps.

SCHEDULE St. Mary’s academic program is organized on a Rotating Block Schedule (A/B days). The school day consists of four 75 minute classes followed by a one-hour Academic Lab. Students meet in Academic Labs to hear announcements and then have an opportunity to meet one on one with teachers, work on homework and/or attend student meetings. The school day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:45 p.m.. However, students begin classes at 10:00 a.m. most Wednesdays while St. Mary’s teachers engage in weekly professional development.
