2021 Echo Journal
Holiday Greetings early 20 years ago, my daughters each wrote letters to Santa as second-graders at Nisswa Elementary School that were published in the Holiday Greetings section published in the then-Lake Country Echo. I carefully cut out the letters from each girl’s class and included them in their scrapbooks. Every year at this time I enjoy going back to those scrapbooks and reading the letters my daughters and their classmates wrote. My hope is that other parents do the same each year when we carry on this longtime tradition of publishing let-

ters to Santa Claus written by secondgraders at Eagle View Elementary School, Pine River-Backus Elementary School, Nisswa Elementary School, Crosslake Community School and Foothills Christian Academy in Backus. They are great keepsakes and fun to look back on years later. The letters are published as the students wrote them, and we thank the teachers for partnering with us in this holiday project.
