The Orion spacecraft or the ‘Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle’ was designed to take the astronauts of NASA to the moon, a future space-station and also to Mars. The spacecraft has already flown to space once in 2O14 and is expected to go on its second major mission without any crew, along with Artemis in August 2O22. It is supposed to lift-off on top of the Space Launched System rocket from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida USA. It is also expected to venture deep into the lunar orbit and make the next lunar landing. It is supposed to make forays in certain areas of the universe, no other spacecraft has made in its lifetime and help scientists unravel the darkest secrets of our galaxy! It can carry up to six people to space and travels at a speed of 2O,OOO mph.
