Enjoy an evening with critically-acclaimed poet Darrell Epp, whose work has been described as a mix of Lou Reed-style urban reportage and surrealist improvisations. The author of three books, Imaginary Maps, After Hours, and Sinners Dance, his poems have appeared on six continents in over 130 magazines. He lives in Hamilton, Ontario. Feb. 20

Book Clubs Connections: Art and Book Club 19+ years

Literature and visual art intersect in this distinctive book club. In this installment we discuss The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead and enjoy a tour of the PAMA exhibit North is Freedom. The exhibit features the great-grandchildren of once-enslaved African Americans who found refuge in the Underground Railroad, a clandestine network of conductors and stations that helped many find freedom. Copies of the book can be picked up at our Four Corners branch. The program takes place at Peel Art Gallery Museum + Archives (PAMA) 9 Wellington Street E. In this orientation session we'll introduce you to the Silhouette CAMEO®, a versatile and user friendly desktop cutting machine.
