Directions to view the cattle: From I-80, take the Elm Creek exit

(Exit 257) south 2 miles to road 747. Turn right and proceed 2 miles west to L Road. Turn left 1 mile south to 746 road, then right 1/4 mile.

Cash or check. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. The auctioneer will handle any disputes as to bids. Payment in full is expected immediately following the sale and prior to cattle load out, unless prior arrangements have been made. Cattle will not be transferred until paid for in full. Invoiced (absentee) purchases are payable in full within 14 days of the sale.

Lot 1 is a special donor who has left a lot of maternal power at Rennert Ranch since her purchase the in 2017 Bar S Ranch Mature Cow Herd Dispersal. She is a gorgeous cow who is super feminine, yet big bodied, long made and very correct. Her udder EPD Ranks in the top 5% of the breed and her teat EPD is in the top 6%. She offers breeders calving ease, lower birth weights, milk, added rib eye area and above breed average marbling. In 2016, we purchased a flush on M6 Ms 104’s Zsa Zsa 687 from Chris Polzin on a Charolais Junior National Fundraiser. We elected to flush her to Outsider and it resulted with four heifers and a bull calf. The bull calf sold on our 2018 bull sale to Stull Cattle Co. for $7,600 and we have been using him on our partnership herd in Kansas. At the time, Troy Thomas saw this group of flushmates and asked if he could partner with us on one to sell on his fall pasture sale. He picked a full sister to 7694 and she sold for $15,000. There is no doubt that these Outsider x Zsa Zsa 687 daughters are beautiful females with tons of power and elegance. They are big bodied, long made and thick. We feel they would be better appreciated by folks who were more show ring oriented than we are.

Oralee is the full sister to Lot 12 from that very successful flush, where a full brother R/V Outer Limits 7001, is working as a herd sire in our Kansas partnership herd and another full sister sold on Thomas Ranch’s 2017 fall pasture sale for $15,000 as a show heifer for the Creasey family in Illinois. Some cows are just simply better than others! This is one who is highly valuable. She is first of all a great looking female. She has also been a strong producer in her first three calves. In 2020 she had a bull calf, R/S Resistol 0797, who sold on our 2021 POTP Bull Sale for $6,000 to Troy Brummer in Kansas for fall breeding. We actually used Resistol for a clean up bull this past summer because we liked him so well. His full sister will sell as Lot 16A. She is a good milking female and has a lifetime WW Ratio of 104 with a really good udder under her. Her pedigree is a different one for us. She is a cornerstone female that propelled both herds early on being the dam of HCR Patriarch 2502 and the granddam of HCR Freedom 6144. After her acquisition from the Hubert herd in Kansas, our first move was to flush her to one of the hottest sires at the time, WC Milestone 5223 P. It was a successful mating and the result of the Milestone x Wendy flush created these three full sisters and five full brothers that sold on the POTP Bull Sale in 2019. One full brother brought $10,000 selling to Larry Herd in Texas, with another brother selling to Howard Rambur in Montana and the other 3 going to work in commercial operations.

818F is nice made, good uddered with nice small teats, and easy to handle. Her first R/V WENDY 818F calf was a bull, sired by LT Landmark 5052, sold for $3,750 to a commercial customer. That’s sure solid for a first calf heifer. Over the year’s we have had strong interest from our commercial bull customers for percentage Charolais bulls. Rennert Ranch & Stull Cattle Co. own a half blood, red colored cow named Cherry Bomb. She has been one heck of a great producing cow who has had 5 bull calves that had AWW’s of 737 lbs., 747 lbs., 936 lbs., 767 lbs. and 713 lbs. The cream colored bull calves have sold very well in the Performance On The Platte bull sale. We flushed her and froze 42 embryos by LT Ledger 0332. We put in the first set of embryos and instead of getting bulls like we wanted, we now had 3 really nice females, and here they are. 915G calved in February. Unfortunately, the calf broke a back leg, and we lost him in April. This cow stayed right with it the whole time and even stood over the top of him to let it nurse and take care for it. I like this female A LOT! She is smooth through her shoulder, has an extended front end and opens up with a lot of rib shape. She is good hipped and very correct. This heifer is a 5/8 Red Angus, 3/8 Charolais and doesn’t carry papers but we know her pedigree for generations. She is really cool. A darker red colored heifer, 1924 could go into a composite seedstock operation, commercial or a club calf program. She is sired by the ABS bull, No Worries, who we used on first calf heifers last year with much calving success. They have grown nicely and have some performance which we like. This heifer had a 104 WW Ratio. We just love her kind.

These 75% Charolais, 25% Red Angus females are just flat out good. This broody cow prospect is out of another great half blood cow that originated from the Raile Charolais herd in KS. She is a cow with a lot of look, a great udder and has been a superb producer consistently putting bulls on our bull sale. We love the cow behind this heifer and we really like this female as well. Shes thick-made, soggy middled, and still feminine. Sired by Freedom, we feel Marlee is a standout cow prospect.

This may be the coolest percentage show heifer prospect on the sale. Her mother is actually a recip that calved in May last year, so we bred her naturally and she produced this gem instead. I cannot say that we are unhappy with the results. If you are familiar with our program, you know how demanding we are of our recips. We believe they should be some of the most productive, fertile cows on the place. R42 is. Matriarch 142 is sweet fronted, soft centered, correct structured and super fancy. She has sweet disposition and needs to go to a junior or a club calf program to make those exceptional smoky calves.

It seems every cattle operation in America has at least one token Monopoly cow and this heifer’s dam is ours. (Ha ha). The dam’s name is Hooley and she was shown by Becky’s niece in IL. After we were married, Hooley moved to NE and honestly, I am glad she is here because she has been quite the little producer. The fuzzy little black cow only weighs 1,170 lbs. but she weans off over half her body weight every year. Hooley has made Front Range and Patriarch daughters for us and they have all been good. A Patriarch daughter sold to Josh St. Peters and Chandler Bane in Illinois. A full sister to 1924 sold last year to the Mark Benes Family here in Nebraska and they campaigned her all over the state sitting at the top of her classes. Needless to say the Front Range x Hooley combo works well. This is a sweet natured heifer that like her sisters before her has good potential to make a great project for a junior looking to hit the show ring next year.
