It is a pleasure to welcome you to our 9th Annual Performance On The Platte Charolais Bull Sale. As I write this letter, daily, the beef industry is breaking records for the highest prices ever — not only in cash trade but in the futures markets. Consumer beef demand remains surprisingly high and there is no telling where the top will be. There are very few signs of a U.S. Beef Herd expansion. It seems the good times for the cow-calf producer will remain strong for quite some time.
This year’s set of bulls is unprecedented as this is certainly the deepest, highest quality set of bulls that we have ever offered. For years we have selected high performance genetics that calve easily, grow rapidly, put pounds up for our customer’s and check the boxes in the feedyard and at the packer level. Every mating decision we make is by design to produce bulls that will work for you and make your cowherd profitable. As you study the data and EPDs in this book, you will see our commitment to producing balanced genetics that work in all segments of the Beef Industry, no matter if you sell calves off the cow, background your calf crop or take them to finish.
One of the most rewarding things we experience is watching our bull customers sell their calves and stay at the top of the market, whether they are sold in local sale barns or on video sales. Many of our customers have recently topped the market with their calves and it has been exciting to witness. The Charolais Association is making a push to not only tell our story but prove how valuable Charolais influenced calves are in the industry. The ball is in play on a national level towards creating a Charolais Influenced branded program and supply chain pull through. These are certainly exciting times for the Charolais breed.
We look forward to seeing you, our customers and friends, on February 17th and getting to know more about you and your operation. Please feel free to call us with any questions or to go through the catalog with you and discuss your bull needs. As always, we welcome your visit to inspect the offering prior to the sale, just give us a call in advance to arrange your visit. We know it says he only had a 564 lb. weaning weight, that is what we wrote down, but I have a feeling we had a scale error and he was actually MUCH heavier at that time. What is very impressive is his growth to 1,322 lbs at yearling and the fact he gained 4.6 lbs/day on test. LOTS 41-43 FLUSH BROTHERS
RENN Counselor 0713 needs little introduction. A past sale highlight himself, his offspring have been very well accepted. A son topped the 2022 sale at $34,000 and last year a son sold to Select Sires for $12,000 landing in their beef lineup.
Enter 5149. There is no more popular cow family in the Charolais breed at this time than the M6 Germaine females. We were so impressed by the 5149 donor owned by Rolling Hills Charolais in Kentucky that we purchased embryos mated to Counselor, Front Range, and JMAR Jefferson 8M11. We think so highly of the cow that we will be adding her genetics by FH Gun Show and FH Gun Runner in 2025.

Sired by our all-time high selling bull RENN Counselor 0713 and out of our home raised donor RENN Uptown Girl 5805 - who is the dam of RENN Cowboy Romeo 1505 and many other very productive and influential individuals in the Rennert herd. 442M came from our embryo cooperator in very green condition, but man has he blossomed into something really cool. Take a look at this guy. We have submitted the DNA and we will have updated EPDs at sale time but are running his pedigree estimated numbers in the catalog. His looks say he is a herd sire prospect. We believe his DNA and ultrasound data will confirm our intuition on sale day.
LOTS 45 & 46 FLUSH BROTHERS
The next two lots come out of the Rennert Ranch ET program and bring a lot of quality to this offering. Sired by the $17,500 RENN Counselor 0713 that topped the POTP bull sale in 2021 selling to Circle Cee Charolais of Alberta, Canada, these full brothers are the offspring of one of our newer donor females, FH Ms B09 Breezy 9062 P, acquired from Fox Hollow Charolais a few years ago as a first calf heifer pair. She brings a unique pedigree, strong EPD profile and one foxy look with a very nice udder. Which ever of these two full brothers you prefer, they read and look like herd sire prospects.
