In 2006, Brasil Júnior and JADE signed for the first time the Cooperation Agreement between the two confederations. Since that year, the collaboration between both organizations increased even more, and with the creation of a national confederation in Tunisia, in 2012, and in Canada, in 2015, a need to unite and align all those who raise the same flag had emerged. After the 2nd edition of the Global Forum, it was clear for everybody that our network needed to improve the results. But even more than that, we needed to increase the cooperation between each other in order to become a truly global and connected movement. Following this mindset, the Brazilian, Canadian, European and Tunisian Confederations of Junior Enterprises became the founder Members of the Global Council. During the first months, the Global Strategy 2016 – 2018 was created in order to fulfill our mission: “To be a truly global and connected movement, improving our results via increased cooperation”

In just 1 year, the Global Council had a fast growth. Other National Confederations joined us: JECam (Cameroon), CJEM (Morocco), CNJE (France) and JE USA (United States). In addition, the First Executive Team of the Global Council was created, with the Global Managers now we have a fully dedicated team of 10 people from different countries to work on the projects of our strategy, which is easily explained by 4 shared goals we must achieve until the next JEWC in July 2018: to strengthen the bonds between the Junior Entrepreneurs, making the best Junior Enterprises even better and boosting the development of new countries to have 6 new Confederations of Junior Enterprises becoming part of the Junior Enterprise Global Council by the end of the Global Forum 2018.

to establish means of proper communication with the network.

to have all the current Council Members adopting the International Standards and providing the Annual Audit Report on their International Status by JEWC 2018.

The Ambassadors Programme was born in 2006 from a Cooperation Agreement between Brasil Júnior and JADE. After 10 years of programme, a review of the results was done and Brasil Junior concluded that was not necessary to maintain two people working as ambassadors, although it is considered strategical to have Brazilians working together with JADE and in the Global Council. Thus, it is important to understand that who will be selected will not have the Brazilian Ambassador as the main title anymore, but in fact, a role in the Global Team. The Programme consists in the selection of two Brazilian Junior Entrepreneurs to work on international projects with clear benefits for both organizations. The Ambassadors are part of the International Team of Brasil Júnior, linked to the President. From Brussels, Belgium, location of JADE Headquarters, they developed projects for both Brasil Júnior and JADE until the creation of the Junior Enterprise Global Council in 2016 as responsible for the execution of the Global Strategy 2016–2018.

1997/98: Two Brazilians as Project Managers in JADE House, in a very informal approach

Total costs are estimated in € 6.335,00 for one whole year. Of this amount, JADE will cover at least € 2.360,00 for each selected candidate. Brasil Júnior forecasts to cover up to a minimum of €2.500,00 in total for Brazilian applicants only. This amount will be confirmed during the 2018 Budget Approval. The distribution of the cost aid may vary between candidates according to how much time they are willing to work abroad. This means that one year candidates are going to have the preference on the cost-aid distribution and six-month candidates may not have cost aid fully or even partially available from Brasil Júnior (JADE costaid is ensured). In practice, this means that candidates expenses with the programme can vary from € 350 – € 450 per month for the ones that plan to work for the JEGC for 6 months and from € 90 - € 250 per month for those who are going to work for one year. In other words, the applicants can receive a financial assistance that covers from 35 to 80% of the programme total expenses. Executive Board Selection Call 2018.1- 24

Historically, some Brazilian Ambassadors have been able to get some sort of sponsorship to help with costs, but there is no guarantee on this issue, and costs are not always covered in full. The Ambassador himself is responsible for seeking sponsorship for his trip, with the help and support of the former Ambassadors when necessary. Some sponsorship opportunities that usually work are given by the University and some private companies in the country of the selected member.

Executive Board Selection Call 2018.1- 25

Yes. Until today, Brazilian Ambassadors worked remotely for 6 months and then in person for more 6 months. However, this model is way too expensive and makes it difficult for Brasil Júnior to cost aid the Brazilians that are taking part in the programme. Furthermore, 6 months is a short period and it was not possible for the Brazilians Ambassadors to fully benefit from the contacts established during their travels and participation in events, besides the negative impacts in management continuity. Therefore, Brasil Junior and the JEGC aims to recruit people that are willing to work abroad for one whole year, without having to work six months remotely. Those who are interested in working for a full year will have the preference in the cost aid distribution and also to carry out Brasil Júnior’s missions in Europe, thus being also selected to play the role of Brazilian Ambassador (if the selected candidate comes from Brazil).

As JEGC Executive Board, the autonomy within the projects is total. This means that the way to achieve the necessary results will be fully under your responsibility. Almost everything related to project development such as resources, methods, global project managers selection and planning can be modified with the Council members approval. The Confederations member will be responsible only for discussing what projects should be prioritized. However, it is important to highlight that even in these moments the JEGC ExBo has the autonomy to give it is opinion and influence the paths of choices. In short, JEGC is mainly responsible for the what and when, and the JEGC Executive Board for the how to get there part.

Executive Board Selection Call 2018.1- 30

Yes. The Junior Enterprise Global Council Executive Board will be chosen according to their professional and personal profile and activities and responsibilities can be rearranged in order to make the most of it. Furthermore, the Junior Enterprise Global Council was recently created and changes are expected to happen in many ways during the next semesters. Given that, it highly likely for the JEGC Team to carry out new activities.

Executive Board Selection Call 2018.1- 31

It is not possible to carry out studies in any university during the period due to the work load mentioned and also to the travels for different countries that are necessary during the semester. However, in the event of a small study load and flexibility in schedules, feasibility can be assessed. Usually, this means that is possible to study another language and practice some other activity such as gym, sports, dance and so on.

Executive Board Selection Call 2018.1- 32

It is important to note that the first role of the JEGC Executive Board is their work role. The work of the Executive Board is already expected to include some fully cost-aided trips during the year. However, it is also possible to travel during the semester, as long as these do not affect your work in the JEGC or carry out problems that might affect Brasil JĂşnior and JADE interests. Lastly, the selected team will have 12 days of vacations per semester (or 24 days in the whole year) that they can use whenever and how they prefer, given that the previous statement is not hurt. Personal expenses during these vacations are not going to be covered by Brasil JĂşnior, JADE or any other JEGC Confederation.
