Staging should be part of your pricing and marketing plan. How you live in a home is different than how you sell a home. Setting the scene for a potential buyer is critical to realizing the best sale price. Remember, you have 7-10 seconds to impress a buyer. The staging cost should be 1-3% of the list price and will yield an 8-10% increase in sales price; the property will sell in half the time of a like kind properties that is not staged. It is less expensive to spend 1-3% of the list price than to drop the price 5%!
