Blue & Gold Bash
Continue collecting FUN and bring Breckopoly home for the entire family to enjoy! Cost: $50
Dear friends of Breck, We are so excited to welcome you back to Breck’s Fieldhouse for the 2019 Blue and Gold Bash! On behalf of our alumni community, Board of Trustees, Bash planning committee, and the entire staff at Breck, thank you for joining us. The Bash is an opportunity for us to celebrate all that we love about the Breck community. As last year demonstrated, bringing this event to campus is no small feat. A group of passionate volunteers and staff members worked tirelessly to make this a reality. I want to extend a special thank you to the Bash committee who dedicated so much of their own time and resources to make this a truly special event.
1
Breck’s founding and history inspire our continued commitment to service through community partnerships and innumerable activities. We take pride in the fact that Breck graduates are prepared to be intellectually curious, self knowledgeable, and socially responsible. From a second grader reading to a resident at a senior living home to a junior engaged in a community-based math research project, you can find Breck students working off campus in support of others on any given day. This work is authentic and intentional, teaching students the depth and complexities of issues facing our society today and arming them with the skills to make positive and meaningful change in the world of tomorrow. Continued deliberate work to this end requires continued and deliberate commitment of resources. From the staff time needed to plan meaningful engagements, to the materials and resources used when we are on site, to the transportation expenses to get Breck students on location, this work requires a significant investment from our School. I hope you will join me with a gift to tonight’s Fund-a-Need and inspire a new generation of innovators and dreamers, philanthropists and leaders. With gratitude,
Natalia Rico Hernández, Ed.D. Head of School

Live Auction 106 Best of Copenhagen: Dinner for Two at Noma Donated by: Frenchie Green, Marcellus Green ’04, and Sydney Green
Voted best restaurant in the world four times in the well-respected “World’s 50 Best List,” Noma will not disappoint. Located in the Danish capital, Copenhagen has a fair claim to be the most influential place of gastronomy in the world. Your exquisite gourmet meal is expertly prepared by more than 70 chefs who cater to a mere 120 guests per night. One restaurant goer remarks that Noma is, “One of the best experiences of my life and the freshest and most interesting food combinations I have ever had.”
Noma and its founder Rene Redzepi have built a culinary dynasty by focusing solely on ingredients from the Scandinavian region, shunning things like olive oil, and focusing instead on seasonal, foraged and organic ingredients found close to the restaurant. Noma reopened in 2018 with a new menu and is rumored to be named number one restaurant in the world once again in 2019. A table at Noma is nearly impossible to reserve, but we are pleased to offer the opportunity to dine at what will be the experience of a lifetime! The evening includes dinner and wine pairings for two guests at the perhaps most famous restaurant in the world, Noma. To learn more about Noma, please visit: noma.dk.
Double down on your Danish gourmet experience with lunch and wine pairing for two at Geranium, owned by Chef Rasmus Koefed. Rasmus is a four-time winner of the coveted “Bocuse d’ Or,” world chef championship, which he most recently won again on January 29, 2019. To learn more about Geranium, please visit: geranium.dk/en.
Your Danish getaway also includes a three-night stay at one of Copenhagen’s most luxurious boutique hotels, Hotel Sanders. To learn more about Hotel Sanders, please visit: hotelsanders.com. *Dates to be mutually agreed upon, but this unique experience must be completed in 2019.
