There are so many friends of the Orchestra program that I want to thank. Many thanks to: Bobbie Tonkin and her first-grade students | Melita Anderson | The orchestra parents, for their support of these young musicians. | The administration and the compliance team, for working with me to allow us to rehearse during these difficult times. | Karyl Rice for all her artistry and work in creating our beautiful program. | Denny Arons and Terry Parks, for running security on the weekends. | Nathan Wilson, for his help in running all the online classes for the 5th and 6th grade orchestra students. | Dale Siewert, Walter Walker, Paul Blesi, and Mark Nolan, who helped to regulate the humidity in the orchestra room and for keeping my room ship shape. | Sharon Mazion, who offered constant support and guidance. | Eric Gustafson for running the theater during our live presentation. | The Lux String Quartet for their recording of the Passacaglia in C Minus. My greatest and heartfelt thanks go to every single one of my “orchestra kids.” This year’s Stringfest was a labor of love by these dedicated students! Many of my young musicians, grades 5 through 12, participated in Saturday rehearsals throughout much of the year. Without that commitment and hard work, tonight’s concert would not have been possible.
