Kota Kinabalu, 9 August 2020 - On this day, the official launching of ONTV was held at the Sipadan II Convention Hall, Sabah International Convention Centre. Officiated by YB Kenny Chua, it was also accompanied by the launching of local singer Pol Deckson’s solo single, Au Oku Momudut Dika.

ONTV is Sabah’s first online television platform. It’s streamed live from Facebook’s Live feature. It started streaming its first segment on 3 August 2020. ONTV’s main purpose is to showcase new talents from Sabah and assist in exposing them to the entertainment industry.

ONTV’s lineup consists of local Sabahan celebrities, artists, and fresh young talents that host their own segments. These segments include talk shows such as Ramlix Talkshow hosted by Ramli Carlo and Felix Agus, Chit Chat by Greg KupikupiFm, Let’s Talk and Budaya Kita hosted by Nera and Tia, and Periuk Nizz by Niz. The other segments that round up ONTV are stand up comedy shows hosted by Got’ong and Darell, Outdoor by I’vera and Daren, with Reality TV and Viral hosted by Mal and Roy.

Their motto, “Strive to the Top”, indicates ONTV’s ambitions to become one of Malaysia’s top TV channels. In the future, the by Noel Jinguli ONTV team plans to add more segments ranging from local dramas, movies, kids’ shows, plus informative news segments. Currently, ONTV only streams on a set duration of time. However, the team is making way for streaming for 24 hours, not only on social media platforms, but also on traditional television as well.
