Tech Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra

When the first Samsung Galaxy Note came out, consumers questioned the practicality of a big smartphone and criticized the S-Pen as a gimmick. However, 11 iterations later, we can’t wait to see what Samsung has got up their sleeves to wow us. Well, the wait is over because the Note20 Ultra is here.

The Galaxy Note20 Ultra comes in 3 sleek colours. Personally, I like the look of the Mystic Black, but the Mystic Bronze has a premium look to it. The screen is a 6.9 inch curved AMOLED display with a 120hz refresh rate, giving you rich colours and smooth animations when viewing content. Under the screen, they’ve implemented an in-screen fingerprint scanner too. Connectivity wise, it’s chipset supports 5G connectivity, future proofing it when 5G becomes stable.

Speaking of which, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 865+, the latest chipset in Qualcomm’s lineup. With 12 gigabytes (gb) of RAM and 256gb of memory, you can multitask better and smoother, while storing more personal items and memories on one device. If somehow 256gb isn’t enough, you can also expand the memory up to 1 terabyte using an SD card. The Note20 Ultra can also be turned into a mini computer when you plug it into a monitor. Combined with the helpful S-Pen, this is truly a jack of all trades of a device if you’re looking to travel light.

Cameras. The Note20 Ultra has 4 of them including the 10-megapixel one in the front. At the back, you’ll find 3 lenses by Noel Jinguli for the main 108-megapixel sensor, 12-megapixel ultra wide, and another 12-megapixel telephoto. Now you won’t have to worry about missing any details, both either zoomed in or out. It’s the perfect setup for any type of photography.

Now, all the powerful specs won’t be useful if you can’t use it for long. With the 4500 mAh battery, Samsung claims it’ll last you the whole day. Even if you need to reach for the 25w charger, plugging it in for 30 minutes will charge up 50% of the battery. It can also act as a wireless charger with Wireless PowerShare for your friends who are in need.

The Samsung Note20 Ultra starts at RM5199. Pricey? Yes, but it’s the price you pay for a very premium smartphone. A powerful smartphone that can do everything at that. At the end of the day, beauty lies at the eyes of the beholder, only you can decide

whether it’s worth it or not. Images | Samsung
