Gensler / Senior Associate 2011 - PRESENT, SAN DIEGO
Manage BIM standards, templates, and training for the San Diego office, while being part of the larger Gensler BIM network. Head of Design Resilience (sustainability) for the office, and also am design research leader. Have acted as project BIM manager and/or project designer and architect on multiple large projects in the aviation, education, and hospitality practice areas. Leading client relationships at the San Diego International Airport, University of California San Diego, and the City of San Diego. Obtained architectural licensure in the state of California. Led our office effort to incorporate augmented and virtual reality into standard project workflows, including the design and construction of a dedicated room scale VR / CAVE space in our office. Taught studios at the New School for Architecture and have lectured on AR/VR. Clash detection and digital coordination, infusion of design data into building models for building management and maintenance use. Projects: SDIA Terminal 2 FIS and Parking Plaza, Manchester Pacific Gateway, Southwestern College Field House and Wellness Center, UCSD Scripps Earth Exploration Center, UCSD Tritons Ballpark.
Clive Wilkinson Architects / BIM Manager 2009 - 2010, LOS ANGELES
Created new standards, content, and led training to transfer a mid-sized office from CAD to BIM to help complete a campus extension for Santa Monica College, including a new headquarters for KCRW. Led successful implementation of BIM from the project principal down to rendering. Performed clash detection and coordination review meetings. Projects: Santa Monica College AET Campus

Oversaw project coordination as well as BIM standards, content, and workflows for a high-end prefabricated residential company, where I
helped create lean, efficient workflows from design to construction. Managed large custom library of structural and finish fabrication elements, led detailing and production efforts, generated digital renderings, and designed residential plumbing and mechanical systems. Performed clash detection and digital coordination. Projects: Palms Residence, Wada Residence, Chevlen Residence, Vince retail locations in New York and Los Angeles

Harvard Graduate School of Design / M.DesS, design technology 2010 - 2011, BOSTON
Masters’ thesis in parametric interfaces and data visualization. Completed an interactive lighting installation, aFLOAT, for a winning team entry to the MIT 150th anniversary Festival of Art, Science, and Technology (FAST). Explored signal processing , parametrics, and data visualization techniques, including computer vision, structural optimization and form-finding methods. Experimented in digital fabrication methods including laser cutting, 3d printing, three and five axis milling and robotics. Took practice and management classes with Paul Nakazawa.
Rice University / B.A., B.Arch 2000-2006, HOUSTON
5 years of architecture studios, 1 year preceptorship. Recipient of Fossi Travelling Fellowship for best graduate level project. Involved in Rice Building Workshop, a design-build studio affiliated with Project Rwo Houses. AIA Certificate. Cumulative GPA of 3.75, studio GPA of 3.85. Studied abroad in Paris.
