EDITOR’S LETTER I am excited to share our 10th issue with you, our loyal readers, and thrilled to be a part of your wedding. As the weather heats up, so too does the wedding season. You and your dearest will most likely attend a few celebrations, quietly awaiting your own. I understand how exciting wedding planning is for couples — whether you are just starting or in the heart of finalizing details, carefully creating your big day directly from your dreams. To arouse your creative thinking, we are excited to bring you 66 pages of real weddings from San Joaquin, Tuolumne, and Stanislaus Counties, and beyond. We’ve included advice from couples, experiences they have shared, and vendors that helped make their days possible. Allow these intimate details to inspire your planning, from the couple’s fashion, floral design, and venues, to their cherished details and personal touches. With each season comes new trends, but it is the most stylish couples that break the rules of tradition. They understand it’s far more important to create their big day around their personal style, tastes, hobbies, and more. Of course, it all begins with the dress. Attending New York’s Bridal Fashion Week in April was an awe-inspiring moment. From Galia Lahav’s sexy vibe to Romona Keveza’s daring direction with colorful floral prints, bridal collections are creative and full of surprises. We have included many of these fashion trends in the pages following and, of course, you can visit Bridal CoutureMag.com for all of this season’s current trends. I raise my glass to you, wishing you and your soul mate an exhilarating planning process and an exquisite wedding surrounded by loved ones. Mira Jantz Editor in Chief @MiraJantz

Budget Advice Who Pays for What: This comprehensive guide helps specify the financial responsibility of everyone involved in your wedding.
The thought of holding the
wedding of your dreams may be intoxicating, yet the reality can be quite sobering. Most wedding etiquette questions center around financial issues. The Knot’s Real Wedding survey of over 16,000 brides found that the average wedding in California from 2014 to present is $36,201. Because of high wedding costs, the best way to pull off your dream nuptials is by creating a budget for the wedding, pricing everything from wedding rings to wedding flowers, gourmet dinners to tuxedo rentals. Be sure that your budget for the wedding includes who is going to pay for what. This will help make your wedding costs a little more manageable. In past generations, the bride’s family paid for the majority of the wedding expenses. The groom’s lucky family got off with just the rehearsal dinner, and the groom himself paid for the honeymoon, bride’s rings, and assorted other small expenses. Today, most people believe the couple should pay for their own wedding, especially if they have lived on their own for some time. Of course, parents often want to pitch in. Contributions
12 M
should be negotiated according to willingness and ability, but the traditional division of budgets, which we provide below, will offer some guidance. Don’t forget to think about your wedding party while setting your budget. Consider the personal and financial situations of not only your family, but your friends and bridesmaids and groomsmen. Yes, they agreed to be a part of your big day as bridesmaids or groomsmen, but between the showers, bachelorette parties, bridesmaids’ dress, tuxedos, accessories, and more, you should contemplate picking up some of the costs, such as paying for the bridesmaids’ shoes if you are asking them to buy all matching shoes. Budgeting will always be a part of important communication between you and your fiancé, which is even more reason to use a wedding budget checklist for your nuptials. We’ve included a traditional breakdown of expenses shared by the family and the bridal party, yet modern budgets show a contribution of 43% by the couple, 43% by the bride’s parents, 12% by the groom’s parents and 2% other.

“Will you be my bridesmaid?”
There are times when it is okay to say maybe. When your mom asks you if you’ll clean out the junk from high school when you go home to visit during winter vacation. Perhaps even when someone asks you if you’ll consider trying Brussels sprouts and goat cheese. But there are times, like when someone asks for your hand in marriage or for monogamous commitment when it’s absolutely not acceptable to say “maybe.” Answering the coveted question of “Will you be my bridesmaid” is one of those times.
Being a bridesmaid has its challenges and may not be a role for everyone. Sometime life’s obstacles can get in the way. You may find that a dear friend will be pregnant during the wedding and they don’t want to squeeze into an unflattering maternity bridesmaid dress. Maybe a new job has a friend worried that the extra responsibilities of being a bridesmaid will keep her from
14 M
proving to her new boss that she was the right woman for the job. It’s okay to not be sure if you can take on the role of a bridesmaid, but it’s important to be open and honest with the bride, and in a timely fashion. If you have reservations, make yourself a pro-con list. Write down some of the things that limit you from saying yes and talk them over with the bride so that you’re upfront with her.
Dishing out a maybe will just delay the decision and make the bride feel like she’s not a priority. Nobody deserves to feel like that, especially during their wedding adventure. So say you’d like to think about it and do that for one day. Then, let the bride know if you’ll be standing up there at the altar with her or sitting in the second row cheering her on with a big supportive smile!

AIS L E STYLE VENUE CHECKLIST
When you’re on the hunt for the perfect wedding venue, forgetting to ask an important question could mean ending up with a site that’s missing a key element — a hefty charge that you weren’t expecting at the end of that night! So before you sign on the dotted line, sit down with the venue manager and go over the following questions.
The Wedding Date
•Is mine available? •How many weddings will be booked that day?
Payment
•What are the rates for different days or times (Friday, Saturday, Sunday; afternoon, evening)? •Is there a payment schedule? •What kind of deposits are required? •Are there hidden costs like a service charge, gratuity, cleaning fees, or overtime charges? •What’s the cancellation policy? •What’s the last possible date that we can make changes?
Logistics
•Must I use vendors of your choosing? •Is there room for a band and/or dancing? •Does the venue own sound equipment and speakers, or will that need to be rented? •Are there any noise restrictions? •Are there adequate bathroom facilities? •Is there a coat check? •Is the site handicap accessible? •Is there ample parking? •Will guests be charged for parking?
24 M
•Is there a backup plan for rain or inclement weather? •Are there any decoration limitations? •Can we use candles? •Are there restrictions for the photographer in terms of flash usage? •When can my vendors arrive for setup? •What time will my guests have to leave the venue? •Who is responsible for setting up and tearing down the decor, and when will it be completed?
Food & Drinks
•Is there an in-house caterer? •Do we have to use that caterer? If not, is there a limitation on which outside caterers we can use? •Do you have a liquor license? •What is your pricing for alcohol? •Will you allow us to bring our own liquor? •If so, is there a corkage fee? •Are there any consequences for not fulfilling the food and beverage minimum?
Staff
•Who will be our point person be before the wedding? •Who will be our point person on the day of our wedding? •Can we meet them now?

The First Dance
Not the best dancer? Pretty sure you have two left feet? All of that’s okay as long as you choose the most perfect first dance song. If you’re unsure of how to pick a winner, here are five tips to get you started.
1. Press Play on a Handful Options
If you don’t know where to start, try scrolling through your iTunes or Spotify playlist, and see if there are any songs that jump out at you and make your heart race an extra beat. Start with those options first. If the song is too much Rock n’ Roll (is that even possible?) or too fast paced, you can always look up the acoustic version of the song and see if it’s a good first dance fit.
2. Lean on Google
A quick search on Google and you’ll have more ideas for first dance songs than you’ll know what to do with! It’s a great way to kick-off your brainstorming session.
3. Take the First Step
If you’re torn between a couple of options, put them on and practice your first dance. See which one feels right. See which one makes you beam with a contagious smile and feel an onset of tears rushing to your eyelids.
26 M
4. Make Your Own Mash-up
When it comes to your wedding, you shouldn’t have to compromise. If you want to do something a little different or combine a couple of your favorite songs, do it! You can even switch between a slow song and a more upbeat dance track.
5. Phone a Friend
Sometimes it helps to turn off your playlists and put an end on your Google search and chat with the people who know you best. Ask family and close friends to give you a list of songs that they think remind them of you and your hubbyto-be.

Health & Beauty Microcurrent: The greatest non-surgical treatment in skin care technology for the bride-to-be It’s never too soon to begin a healthy skincare regimen, even
months before your wedding. We’ve searched out one of the hottest new procedures for the glowing bride-to-be and found it at one of our favorite skin care hot spots, Nirvana Skin Care of Modesto. Microcurrent is known to be the most effective non-surgical method to take years off your face. It is a form of massage using low levels of electrical current that triggers the body’s natural cellular repair mechanism. Used as an anti-aging tool, it can diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by toning and rejuvenating the facial muscles. This process also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. The effects are immediate and cumulative. The uplifting therapy is also preventative, as well as corrective. How often should treatments be done? Treatments can be done monthly but best results are obtained by re-educating facial muscles weekly for 6-12 sessions, continuing with muscle memorization every 10 days for 4 sessions, and keeping up monthly maintenance thereafter. It is important to remember that your results will be based on your individual needs and desires. Benefits of Micro-Current Treatments - Revitalizes the skin - Lifts jowls and eyebrows - Drains lymphatic nodes - Improves skin pigmentation - Facilitates product penetration
- Creates smoother and firmer skin - Improves circulation and elasticity - Clears up or reduces acne - Calms rosacea - Improves muscle tone in face and neck - Diminishes appearance of fine lines and wrinkles Not all microcurrent equipment is created equally. The ability of microcurrent to positively affect the tissue is completely dependent on not only the sophistication and engineering of the machine, but also on expert application by a trained practitioner. This is why Nirvana Skin Care uses TAMA Blue Onyx. This unique, multi-modality device allows a specific profile to be created with your goals in mind to achieve the best results in facial contouring and rejuvenation possible.

Floral Trends Today’s wedding floral designs are not just about complementing a space — they’re about merging a couple’s personalities and styles. With a long list of flower arrangements you’ll need for your wedding (bridal bouquet, floral centerpieces, boutonnieres, etc) choosing the right signature flower is no easy task. To help you find the perfect florals for your special day, we gathered top tips for pulling off the latest wedding flower trends with ease.
Succulents Voluptuous and fleshy, these exotic species are adored for their longevity, resilience, and beauty. Pair them with traditional petals such as garden roses, peonies and ranunculus for a pretty juxtaposition and textural eye candy. Advice: Keep in mind the desired color palette when choosing the right bloom and shape. Go with a softer silver hue when paired with pastels. Also, choose blooms with soft features. No one likes sharp lines and spiky plants — especially in a wedding centerpiece!
44 M
B
B
otanical liss Farm to table seems to be the hottest trend, from florals to food. Various shades of green and natural wood, including moss, bay laurel, magnolia, maidenhair fern, jasmine vine, and fiddle fern, are a great place to start. Add in textures of plants in garlands that trail down the table, swags hung from chairs, and whimsical statement pieces hung from rafters or the ceiling, and you can redefine wedding florals altogether. Advice: Don’t forget to add warmth and romance with accents of candles.
Bold Colors
Mauve! Raspberry! Violet! Eggplant! Jewel tones are especially hot, as are earthy neutrals. We welcome color, especially when dressed on dark wood tables or with the perfect linen. Advice: If you like bold colors but are afraid to take the plunge, start by choosing three colors, and work in monochromatic shades that create mass and harmony.

Kendra & Matt Fields May 23, 2015
In April of 2014, Matt and Kendra were discussing ways to celebrate her birthday. Not wanting to plan anything, Kendra asked Matt to make it a surprise. The next day Kendra was unsure of what to wear since it was a surprise, so she called him and he suggested jeans, boots, and a sweatshirt. Shortly after, he picked Kendra up, and they went to the Oakdale almond ranch of a family to which Matt wanted to introduce Kendra. Matt has always talked about the beautiful sunsets in the country and wanted to share them with her.

I need to go set up my spotting scope.” They had heard coyotes and wanted to be able to look at them in the distance. He went to set up his scope, sighted it in, and came back and sat down. While watching the sunset Matt went back to look in his scope to see if he could see any coyotes. “Kendra come and look at this. I see the coyote den. They are going to come out any time,” Matt expressed with excitement.
Kendra quickly stood up and peered through the scope. Yet it wasn’t the coyote den she spotted. In the distance was a sign posted to a telephone pole that read “Will you marry me.” When Kendra turned around, Matt was on one knee. Kendra joyfully said “yes”! The planning began. The first step the couple made was to hire a photographer. Kendra had seen some of the work of Kori and Jared Photography and set up the appointment immediately. Once they booked them, they moved on to the venue. Matt and Kendra wanted an outdoor ceremony but knew the May heat could be a challenge, so

when they found Spring Creek Golf and Country Club, they knew it would be perfect. Spring Creek offered plenty of shade for the ceremony and an indoor ballroom for the reception. Matt wanted a rustic theme to the wedding and Kendra wanted a stylish yet whimsical feel. So they made sure to incorporate wood and other rustic pieces such as their seating
chart, and wooden boxes as props for their centerpieces and dessert table. To embody Kendra’s vision, they added moss and amaranths, pops of coral and gold, and lanterns. With all the natural greenery, the coral popped perfectly. “All of our vendors were wonderful and really brought the wedding we had envisioned to life,” noted Kendra.

reann and Matthew first met on an evening out with B friends at Tresetti’s in downtown Modesto. They quickly connected on Facebook and after several conversations Matthew finally asked Breann out on a date. They fell in love instantly as they realized how much they had in common. Two years later, Matthew proposed.
Fueled by the couple’s love of literature and interest in all things vintage, they selected a collection of vintage books as their table centerpieces and named every table after a favorite author. The colors taupe, champagne, blush and gray combined with the bold history of the McHenry Mansion served as the framework for the classical theme the couple desired.

The couple really enjoyed every minute of their wedding planning. Most of the vendors were friends which turned every wedding planning appointment into a chance to catch up and removed any opportunity for stress. “We have such a wonderful group of friends and family that the whole day was a huge love fest. We consider it one of the best days of our lives.” Breann reveals. “It was the day Matt, Ava, and I officially became a family and was celebrated by everyone we love. I still get choked up thinking about the day.”

Savannah & Marcus McIlwain May 23, 2015 BRIDALCOUTUREMAG.COM
avannah and Marcus were acquaintances and had many Smutual friends, but the idea of dating had never crossed their minds. After school, Savannah moved to Southern California, and Marcus went to play Division 1 football at The University of Arkansas at Monticello. An innocent online conversation started what would soon be a long lasting love. In December of 2012, both Savannah and Marcus moved back to their hometown of Modesto. They became inseparable. A short time into their relationship, Marcus introduced his two year old son Noah to Savannah. Savannah embraced him immediately and it was at this point they realized their family had just been created. The couple purchased their first home in early 2014, and just a few short months later, Marcus planned a proposal that to this day leaves Savannah speechless. Marcus had planned a special day of pampering for Savannah, starting off with a facial. As she arrived to the spa
room, she found a note from Marcus that read, “Roses are red, violets are blue, enjoy your day, today is all about you.” The final event of the well-planned day was a private dinner in the wine cellar of Galletto’s Ristorante in Modesto. Savannah was escorted downstairs, and as she turned the corner, Marcus and Noah were standing waiting. Noah held a sign that read “Will you marry my daddy?” The wedding date was set for one year later. Savannah had dreamt about her wedding day since she was a little girl and always knew she she would be very hands-on and DIY. Crafting was a hobby for her, so many elements would be a natural creation. She wanted to avoid any type of “themed” wedding, instead keeping it timeless. Savannah wore a stunning Swarovski crystal beaded bodice ballgown, her bridesmaids in classic black floor length gowns. Marcus and his groomsmen wore black-tie tuxedos. Their five ring bearers looked adorable in black bow ties and suspenders, and their three little flower girls were precious in full a-line tulle gowns.

The couple incorporated many personal touches in the ceremony and reception, including their initials in the decor, much of which Savannah created herself. They strung plenty of market lights, which highlighted other light features that Savannah brought in herself. One of Savannah’s favorite personal touches was the garter toss. As a fun nod to Marcus’s background in football, they placed Savannah’s garter on a football for him to throw. Marcus scanned the crowd of single men, pointed out an open pocket and made a successful pass to a lucky receiver. Savannah and Marcus honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and now reside in Modesto, CA.

den was in nursing school and Garrett was in his second year Eof anesthesia residency, both living in San Francisco. Garrett saw a picture of Eden in scrubs at Children’s Hospital of Oakland and knew they would share some common interests. It wasn’t long after they met that they knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. With challenging schedules, they struggled finding time off together, but in early May 2014 Garrett planned a coastal road trip to Santa Barbara. While taking in the beauty of Butterfly Beach, Garrett proposed to Eden. “I couldn’t even remember much of what he said, but I knew one thing- Yes!” Eden announces. Glowing with excitement over dinner that evening, Garrett surprised Eden again when both of their families showed up to celebrate with them. The couple decided on a late Spring wedding and fell in love with

Wine and Roses during their first visit. They loved the garden area for their ceremony, the ballroom for the reception and The Cellar Room made for a perfect on location rehearsal dinner. With many friends and family traveling in for the big day, the guest rooms allowed for everyone to extend their stay for the weekend. The beautiful and charming setting at Wine and Roses inspired the blush pinks and candlelight decor. Soft, romantic and timeless themes were important to Eden and Garrett. Working closely with their vendors, sharing images and describing their vision was easier than expected. The only challenge was Garrett living in San Francisco most of the time, but Eden’s mother stepped in when needed and helped make sure the planning went smoothly. “Our wedding was even more beautiful than we ever dreamed it would be.”, explains Eden. “We were absolutely blown away when we finally saw it all come together- it really was a perfect day!”

Bekah and Seth had lived in Southern
California for three years before Seth proposed to Bekah during an evening in San Francisco. The couple started planning their wedding in the Central Valley since they were both from Oakdale, CA. They searched for a venue that would meet several expectations and fell in love with a friends private residence. “The grandiose willow tree was the perfect place for us to start our roots, and the victorian home as the backdrop set a scene of celebration for everyone in attendance,” Bekah explains. Bekah’s favorite color is mint and including succulents and lanterns into her decor was important to her. She selected mint
bridesmaids dresses, and the groomsmen wore shades of grey tuxedos. Bekah’s father is experienced with woodwork and made a custom dance floor for the couple. Bekah and Seth also incorporated personal touches with a welcome sign that had the driving distance to important cities in their life. Bekah and Seth had recently made the decision to move to North Carolina, so planning the wedding became a bit challenging as they had to hire all of the wedding vendors before the big move. Bekah notes, “It was a little tight, but it all came together perfectly and our day was nothing short of a fairy tale wedding.”

Mikaela & Kalvin Prins March 28, 2015
When it comes to intimate wedding reception settings, it’s difficult to imagine a more ideal venue than your family’s property in the country. Country weddings are often influenced by the nature that surrounds the area, and for Mikaela, her grandparent’s home in Oakdale was the backdrop for this elegant and stylish backyard wedding and one that is sure to impress you. The beautiful country side, lush green grass and Angus cattle combined with the stunning decor and rustic charm proves that a backyard country location can be the perfect wedding spot.

Kalvin and Mikaela met in kindergarten and were friends throughout grade school until they officially started dating in high school. Both graduated from Ripon Christian in 2012. The couple became engaged while Mikaela was attending college, and this allowed them a year to plan their wedding since the date was set for March 2015. “My mom is very detail oriented which came in really handy in the whole planning process,” explains Mikaela.
stronger, he also spent time out there with her. “It couldn’t have been more perfect!” Creating a country chic themed event allowed the couple to include details such as randomly placed rustic boxes and crates, wine barrels, and the milk and cookie bar. Kissing cow bells replaced the clinking of champagne flutes, and the biggest project of all was the barn door backdrop behind the head table.
With faith being an important part of Kalvin and Mikaela’s life, they chose to be married in the church they were both baptized in, Escalon Christian Reformed Church.
The couple selected colors of navy, shades of coral, greens, and ivory for their floral, linens, and decor. Mikaela’s bridesmaids wore formal floor length chiffon navy gowns and the groomsmen wore black tuxedos, navy ties, and a matching shade of coral for their boutonnieres.
“Kalvin and I have always been country kids,” notes Mikaela. Therefore planning the reception at her grandparent’s home was a dream come true. Mikaela grew up fishing on her grandfather’s private pond surrounded by acres of the beautiful country side, and as she and Kalvin’s relationship grew
Family style tables filled the tent, and a stunning chandelier hung above the dance floor where friends and family danced the night away. Elegance and country charm blended perfectly for Mikaela and Kalvin’s truly inspiring day!

Yoana & John Belo November 1, 2014
On Thanksgiving Day in 2013, Yoana was spending the
holiday with her family at her sister’s home. While out front, she spotted John across the street. John, also visiting his sister for the holiday, caught Yoana’s eye. A week later John’s sister sent Yoana a message inquiring about her relationship status. Excited, because Yoana was attracted to John too, she eagerly replied that she was single. Several days later, John contacted Yoana and asked her out on a date. John cooked dinner for Yoana and they spent hours talking followed by days of deep conversations. “His sweet gestures and lovable personality had me sold,” says Yoana.

During a weekend at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa, Yoana walked into a room draped in red rose petals with a ring placed in the middle of a rose petal heart. There was nothing short of an immediate “Yes from Yoana, and they quickly set their wedding date for November of the same year. Both Yoana and John were fans of all things vintage and knew they would incorporate this into their wedding theme, but it was important with this theme that it would be very elegant. With 3 languages rich in their family history, the couple wanted to include this as a personal touch and had all of their paper goods designed with trilingual verbiage, from invitations and save the dates to the menus and

Her first choice was a drop waist lace and tulle ballgown by Watters that she wore for the wedding ceremony. For the reception she wanted a fitted silhouette and decided on a beaded fit and flare gown by Maggie Sottero. Both gowns paired perfectly with her Badgley Mischka heels. Her wedding colors were soft and neutral with shades of blush, pink and taupe. She mixed and matched her

A chance encounter at a party at Vieira’s
Lounge in Modesto, CA, for an End of the World party in 2012 led to an evening of deep conversations and a date that was 5 years in the making. A year following that first date and with the approval of Shy’s parents, Nathan proposed on the beaches of Santa Cruz. A spring wedding date was set and colors inspired by the midnight sky were chosen, which included shades of navy, purple, and hints of gold.
Delegating day-of tasks and assignments to friends and family made the long list of todo’s a bit simpler, but Shy recalls that when it came down to the moment, her mantra was to “just roll with it.” The day was about marrying the person she loves, small details will find their place. Shy recalls to a quote from the movie Miss Congeniality, “April 25th is the perfect day!” “For Nathan and I, it really was,”she notes.

n early 2013, David got together with some of his friends I and family and designed a parade float that would forever change his life. David, a lineman living and working in Southern California, decided he wanted to surprise his girlfriend with an unforgettable wedding proposal. On July 4, 2013, Sovauhna attended the City of Modesto’s annual 4th of July Parade with her family. As they sat with onlookers cheering on locally built floats, clowns, and marching bands, her family’s anticipation grew, and rolling down the street came a hand-made float inspired by Tiffany & Co. and David’s career as a lineman. It was on that float that David proposed to Sovauhna in front of hundreds of spectators. Shortly after that, the date was set. The couple wanted to plan their wedding close to Modesto where they both graduated and both of their families lived. With David living in Southern California, Sovauhna would have to take on most of the planning process while she eagerly waited for David to move back home.
“When David’s one request in the wedding was to wear boots, I decided to go with the rustic country theme and grant his one wedding wish since, if you know David then you know that he lives in his boots,” Sovauhna explains. With this theme, she also decided the entire wedding party should wear boots, and she would look for a classic and soft design of lace for her gown. “When I found my dress at Mira Bridal Couture, I knew it was the dress on the first day of looking.” Entertaining the idea of David’s career, the couple decided to design a cake topper to represent power poles. Encompassing the lively theme of the dessert table, Sovauhna decided to include cupcakes themed after some of their favorites such as the Giants baseball team and Motorcross. The bridal party dresses, floral arrangements, and decor included various shades of ivory, beige, soft pinks, and lace, continuing her natural yet country chic theme. And even though September 13, 2014, hit triple-digit heat, the sunset and cooler evening arrived just in time for their first dance and initiated their perfect reception.

Taking place at the Sonora, CA, rustic barn wedding venue, Union Hills Inn, Carly and Joel’s wedding has a wonderful fresh feel about it. Winter green bridesmaids dresses and a lovely setting add up to one inspirational day! Carly and Joel wanted to incorporate a glamorous vibe with natural elements. Finding a venue with a woodsy feeling was important, and Union Hill Inn offered just that. The Chapel at Union Hill Inn features a picturesque barn with all of the right colors the couple wanted to include: emerald green, hunter green, shades of browns and lots of gold sparkle.
“All your love is all I ’ve ever known” After an intimate wedding ceremony, the couple shared in their celebrations with friends and family at their reception. Adding to the romance, Joel surprised Carly as his groomsmen Ben grabbed a guitar, Joel a microphone, and they began to serenade her with “Heart Like Yours” by Willamette Stone. Bringing back memories of the evening, Joel and Carly realized how deep their love was. Joel and Carly honeymooned down the coast of California, visiting Pacific Grove, Monterey, two days in Disneyland, and completed their trip with a quiet stay in Twain Harte. The couple reside in Modesto, CA.
