Our 25th Party! O

n Friday 16th September we celebrated 25 years since Tony Raffermati opened the doors of our first ever office in Ash Vale. The party was held at the Princes Hall Aldershot where 180 of our staff past and present, and people who have helped us on our fantastic journey enjoyed a fanfare of food and wine whilst we enjoyed the speeches from Tony himself and latterly the group MD, Carlo Stocchetti. The speeches were a mixture of regaled anecdotes of events over our 25 year history as well as some absolutely heartfelt recognition of who has helped Tony turn his exciting vision in 1991 into what Bridges has become today. As Carlo climbed the stairs to the stage to a rapturous applause, it was evident that Tony had no clue that this part of the evening was to be included in the Birthday celebrations and we think he may have been dreading some of the stories involving him from years back!! However this was not the reason for Carlo’s entry, what Tony didn’t know is that all of the staff at Bridges had clubbed together to really make this a momentous occasion for him and the presentations were made. Firstly for many readers who don’t know, Tony is a MASSIVE QPR fan (there has to be one) and he will be dining in the club’s W12 lounge at the game against Reading on 15th October before presenting the man of the match with his champagne at the full time whistle. He will also get the match ball, sponsored by Bridges, signed by the players! But that wasn’t it. As we have previously mentioned, it was 1 The Parade, Ash Vale, GU12 5AZ, where Tony first opened the door to Bridges, in testament and recognition of his outstanding achievements, this building has now been renamed Raffermati House, The Parade, Ash Vale, GU12 5AZ! All of the staff and Bridges would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the guy who you see on the front pages of so many of these newspapers.
