OVERVIEW. Bond University is a private university, with global recognition, located on the Gold Coast, Australia. In the 2012 Good Universities Guide, Bond received the most five star ratings out of any university in Australia, epitomizing Bond’s commitment to excellence. Specifically, the Business Students’ Association is the highest form of student-led representation for the Business Faculty within Bond University, responsible for both its students and faculty members. To fulfil our below roles we rely on sponsorship from within the Industry to assist us in providing meaningful experiences for Business Students.

AACSB ACCREDITATION The Faculty of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. Accreditation confirms a commitment to quality and continuous improvement through a rigorous and comprehensive peer review. AACSB international accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in management education and assures stakeholders that business schools: - Manage resources to achieve a vibrant and relevant mission; - Advance business and management knowledge through faculty scholarship; - Provide high – calibre teaching of quality and current curricula; - Cultivate meaningful interaction between students and qualified faculty; and - Produce graduates who have achieved specified learning goals.

OUR ROLES

Our roles are focused on successfully executing our mission by: 1) Providing academic services to Business Students, such as representation and advocacy; 2) Championing opportunities for students to experience real-world application of their degrees by facilitating communication between Bond University, other Universities and Industry personnel; 3) Ensuring all students have a wholesome experience by coordinating various academic and social events.

DIGITAL MEDIA. WEBSITE

The BSA Website (www.bondbsa.com.au) is a major disseminator of information regarding student services, competitions, publications, events and sponsors. Our Website is frequently used by students to access such information as well as to read any announcements made by the BSA.

FACEBOOK

In today’s world, social media is the main tool for communicating instantly with large audiences. As a result, the BSA Facebook Page is a key method for communication between Business Students and the BSA. We provide immediate announcements about upcoming events, as well as BSA and Business Faculty news. With over 1000 likes on our page, it is currently the most popular Faculty Student Association Facebook page within Bond University.

WEEKLY UPDATES

The BSA sends out a weekly email to all students within the Business Faculty providing information regarding events, opportunities and any general announcements for the students. As a result, it is an invaluable promotional tool used by the BSA and a very beneficial opportunity for sponsors to be involved with. All Platinum Sponsors will be automatically listed on the BSA’s Website, on both the Home Page and the Sponsorship Page. Upgrades to your Platinum Sponsorship for Digital Media purposes are as follows: •$500 per trimester: direct posting of up to 3 announcements via the BSA Website, Weekly Updates and Facebook Page. A direct link from our Website to your company’s home page can also be included on request. •$250 per trimester: direct posting of one important announcement via the BSA Website, Weekly Updates and Facebook Page. The Careers Guide is a comprehensive handbook designed specifically for students to plan their approach to attaining a graduate job in their desired career path. The Guide provides information across all degrees and majors under the Business Faculty. The Guide lists companies and their associated internships, work experience opportunities and graduate programs. The Guide also showcases reviews of students who have had experience with the featured companies. Placement in this Guide provides valuable exposure for sponsor companies as every student within the Business Faculty will read the Guide and be influenced by the positive placement of your company brand. The Guide is distributed once a year just prior to Graduate Season but is accessible to by students all year round.

COMPETITIONS.

JOB INTERVIEW COMPETITION

The Job Interview Competition is a premier competition run by the BSA with the ultimate goal of enhancing student’s skills and abilities in regards to applying for a job. This competition also enables students to gain strong affiliations with potential future employers. Students are given a mock job description for a particular company and then must prepare as if they were applying for that job. The single Platinum sponsoring company will be the company chosen for the competition. Members of the Business Faculty and Careers Development Centre assess the early stages. However, the final interview must comprise a corporate representative from the sponsoring company on the judging panel to assist in deciding the overall winner and to present awards at the presentation ceremony.

Only one package available: • Platinum: $1500.00. This package grants exclusive naming rights as the sole sponsor. This ensures your brand is included in all promotional activities. The competition requires entrants to heavily research your company prior to the competition and therefore company specific promotion (brochures, merchandise etc.) will also be showcased. SOCIAL EVENTS.

PALAVER

Palaver is typically run at the beginning of each trimester. It is the largest social event that the BSA organises and is also the biggest event on Bond University’s social calendar. Targeted towards all 18+ students, this event promotes the inclusive ‘family’ like culture at Bond with attendee numbers capped at 1,000. This event is the only remaining all inclusive cocktail event on campus and has a unique theme dedicated to decorating the venue.

GRUDGE WEEK

This is one of the most competitive sporting events on campus, comprising a battle between the BSA and the Law Students’ Association. Held throughout week 9, the week long events include the Business vs Law Rugby, the North vs. South AFL match, beach cricket games and debating competitions. These events capture crowds of over 700 who enjoy the both competitive spirit and free food and drinks.

MASTER CLASS

The Master Class is a networking event focusing on a different area of business each semester. Professionals within the specified business area are invited to speak to students with an opportunity for questions at the conclusion of each speech. Students are encouraged to network with each of the speakers over canapes with the hope of building relationships and broadening their knowledge of the different business fields. SUNDAY SESSION

This social event has a more relaxed atmosphere designed to facilitate and encourage the integration of new students and provide an outlet prior to the start of exams and study week. Typically held towards the end of the semester, this event is targeted to all students and undoubtedly popular with students across all faculties. PALAVER/SUNDAY SESSION/GRUDGE WEEK PACKAGES •Platinum: $2000.00 per event. Includes exclusive naming rights for the event, name and logo included in all forms of promotion (posters, tickets, videos and digital media). When displayed, your branding will be positioned with larger sizes and not grouped with other sponsors. If provided, company specific promotion will be on display for the entirety of the event e.g. banner, posters, products etc. Also, a one-off, up to 15 seconds worth of audio promotion on the night. •Gold: $1000.00 per event. Includes promotion as a contributing sponsor, where name and logo will appear on all forms of promotion. Two hours worth of company specific promotion will be displayed on the night. Also, a one-off, up to 5 seconds worth of audio promotion on the night. •Silver: $750.00 per event. Includes promotion as a contributing sponsor, where name and logo will appear on all forms of promotion. One hour worth of company specific promotion will be displayed on the night. •Bronze: $500.00 per event. Includes promotion as a contributing sponsor, where name and logo will appear on all forms of promotion.


BUSINESS BREAKFAST

The Business Breakfast is primarily a networking event, enabling students and industry professionals to interact in a casual, welcoming environment. This event is held outdoors on campus and features free breakfast food for students. Students who attend the breakfast are typically some of the brightest and most ambitious students who are eager to meet professionals and gain an insight into their world.

• Platinum: $500.00. Includes exclusive naming rights for the event, name and logo in all forms of promotion as well as multiple, company specific promotional items, to be displayed during the breakfast. Will also include direct mentioning at the opening and closing of the event. •Gold: $300.00. Includes promotion as a contributing sponsor with name and logo in all forms of promotion. One form of company specific promotion may be displayed, with mention at the opening and closing of the event as a contributing sponsor. •Silver: $200.00 Includes promotion as a contributing sponsor with name and logo in all forms of promotion.

SMALL BUSINESSES The BSA is always in search of smaller sponsors who may wish to become a partner or provide goods or services for our events (eg. provide free/discounted food or drinks to any of our events in exchange for promotion).
