OUR SERVICES. ACADEMIC Each semester we coordinate class representative feedback for all Faculty of Business students, arrange peer-assisted study sessions and coordinate a list of student tutors. We also offer a financial calculator hire scheme which can be organised through visiting our office during office hours.
COMPETITIONS This year we will be focusing on implementing a variety of new competitions across all fields of business. To keep updated on the latest competitions please look out for our weekly emails and follow us on Facebook. The Interview Competition is a yearly tradition which aims to enhance student’s skills and abilities in regards to job applications. Students are given a mock job description for a particular position and they must then prepare as if they were applying for that job. The final interview stages are decided by a judging panel of corporate representatives from the competition’s sponsored
company.
In
2013
this
competition
was
sponsored by
Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) and enabled students to gain strong affiliations with the firm.

SOCIAL EVENTS Palaver Palaver is held every semester and is the largest event on campus. It is a cocktail event with a themed venue and has a reputation amongst the students as the best party on the social calendar. This event is targeted towards all students with attendee numbers capped at 1000. Decorations, lights, music and food all tie together to create a fun and lively night for all involved. Business vs Law Grudge Week This event sees the two faculties go head to head in a series of competitions – rugby, debating, barbeques and more. It is an entertaining week with all food and drinks supplied. Business Breakfast This is a free breakfast hosted by your BSA every semester. Think hash browns, coffee, juice, pastries and bacon. It is also common for industry professionals to be present at the event, giving students additional avenues to foster connections in a more informal environment. Master Class This is a networking event focusing on a different area of business each semester. Professionals are invited to speak to students to broaden their knowledge across different business disciplines. After the presentations and question times, students are provided with the opportunity to network with the professionals over canapÊs and drinks.
