Moving from small town Rossland, BC Rebecca put down roots in Victoria in 2001. She has since called several Victoria neighbourhoods home, including Cook Street Village, Fairfield, and Saanich, and has come to appreciate the unique benefits of each vibrant area of this beautiful and flourishing coastal city.
Rebecca began her education and career in Social Work, where she learned to deeply understand diverse people’s needs, dreams, and constraints – working collaboratively to find ways forward towards their goals. She knows that people and families have a deep-seated need to feel at home: to love where they live and to sense a good “fit” with their surroundings, whether that be walkability, walk-in closets, or wide-open spaces on all sides.
Prior to becoming a licensed agent, Rebecca Barritt established a solid background in Real Estate marketing through her years working in marketing and conveyance. As a licensed Realtor® since 2016, Rebecca has carried on her passion for marketing and human connection.
When Rebecca is not helping people sell and/or find their dream home, she can often be found with her little family – exploring East Sooke Park, running around Elk Lake, or canoeing around Victoria’s waterfront. Another of Rebecca’s great passions in life is music; she teaches several instruments and performs in local venues as a singersongwriter.

We recommend you leave the house during showings or open houses to ensure potential buyers have the chance to evaluate and experience the home at their leisure. Taking into account any specific tips from Rebecca, the following list should help.

• Each room is spotless and tidy

• Sweep and vacuum floor coverings

Rebecca likes to have a minimum 6-month listing contract in place when selling your home. All contracts can be canceled, because she understand that sometimes life just changes.
Rebecca prefers to have a week or more to get professional photos, floor plan, video, signage, and the like in place. The biggest challenge can be picking the perfect day to get great photos. If need be she can get your home up on the market in 48 hours, however they recommend taking the time to put your best foot forward, as you only get one first chance.
If your home is vacant, we would suggest doing some staging to create that cozy, emotional, this-is-home feeling. Most buyers purchase based off feeling vs. logic. This can even apply to focused investors, so making your home warm and inviting does go a long way. If you want their help, Rebecca can provide basic staging assistance.
Yes, Coastal Living Collective works with a trusted professional photographer offering a full photography package for each of our listings.
Yes, every listing must have a floor plan.
Yes of course! Rebecca completely understands that having people moving through and out of your home whilst keeping it sparkling clean can be a lot of work. She is always happy to develop a showing schedule that works best and request 24 hours notice to view.
Though you can be home, it is not recommended. Buyers coming in prefer when sellers are not home as they can speak freely with their Realtor.
