Introduction - Welcome to GenZine

Welcome to GenZine!

What is this Zine about? Who has created this Zine?

GenZine has been created by a group of young people from the western suburbs of Melbourne to promote and raise awareness of gender equity. When reading GenZine, we hope you recognize that everyone no matter what gender, should have equal rights, opportunities, responsibilities and should be treated with respect. No matter where you are or who you are with, we all deserve to have this basic human right. The name GenZine has two layers of meaning. First, GenZine is short for Gender Equity Zine. Second, GenZine also stands for Generation Z Zine, reflecting the young people and ideas that this zine was shaped by.

Our names are Jasmine (she/her), Christopher (he/him), Hamid (he/him), Hannah (she/her), Emily (she/her), Natnael (he/him), Cynthia (she/her) and Nyawir (she/her).
