GIFTS BY BEQUEST
GIFTS OF RETIREMENT ASSETS
A bequest is the easiest and most flexible way to create lasting change for Brimmer. You can name Brimmer as a beneficiary in your will or living trust by designating a gift of a specific dollar amount, a particular asset, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your estate once all of your other bequests have been fulfilled. With a bequest you maintain complete control of your assets during your lifetime and can potentially save on capital gains taxes and estate taxes.
Assets such as 401(k) or an IRA are a wonderful way to make a tax-wise gift to Brimmer. If you are 70½ or older, you can roll over up to $100,000 per year from your IRA as a charitable gift. Simply tell your IRA administrator to transfer your gift directly to Brimmer from your traditional Roth IRA account. The gift will not be taxed as income to you.

LIFE INCOME GIFTS
BENEFICIARY DESIGNATIONS
Your gift to Brimmer can also be designed to pay you income for life. This is a popular way for both you and Brimmer to benefit. We agree to pay a fixed payment to you for life with the remainder benefitting Brimmer. This type of gift is particularly attractive because you often can reduce taxes, increase your spendable income and, at the same time, make a gift that will help Brimmer in a remarkable way. You benefit now and Brimmer benefits later.
It’s as simple as requesting a change of beneficiary form from the company holding your assets, such as IRAs, 401(k) and other retirement plans, bank accounts, commercial annuities, donor-advised funds, and life insurance policies, and including Brimmer as a full or partial beneficiary. Beneficiary Designations may reduce income taxes and possibly estate taxes for your loved ones.
