Inviting and Intimate New Works at IMM Cologne and Stockholm Furniture Fair 2020

The start of a new year brings new additions and updated classics. New Works has spent the past five years refining a collection of sculptural and sensual objects built on our core values. This has never been more evident than through our presentations as part of IMM Cologne and Stockholm Furniture Fair. Displaying objects that focus on honest materials and expert craftsmanship set within an intimate series of spaces, we will unveil experimental and ground breaking approaches to production through work that retains a tactility into their final form.

A more architectural focus than previous editions, the strong yet tactile world of Vincent Van Duysen has provided inspiration. Simple yet sensual, intimate yet inviting. We cannot wait to welcome you. The well-rounded maturity of a growing collection will be on full display as we welcome four new collections from four new collaborating designers. Designed by Regular Company, the Missing chair is our take on a highly functional cafe chair, a sculptural silhouette with all the right ingredients. Swiss duo Panter Tourron add a stunning pendant lamp from their Dezeen Award Winning Tense collection. The Pleat pitcher by Omayra Maymo adds to our range of sculptural tableware. Alongside extensions to our Florence table range and KarlJohan lighting collection, our unique take on the perfect Scandinavian interior continues to evolve.

Working once again alongside Lotta Agaton Interiors, we will transform the concept of the trade fair stand into a series of tranquil and inviting spaces in which to connect and escape. Taking cues from our newly completed Copenhagen showroom space, a strong architectural layout creates a series of rooms within rooms full of welcoming textures and tones. A mix of soft, flowing forms and natural materials in warm tones provides the perfect ambiance in which to experience each space.

Missing Chair Regular Company

The Missing chair appears as if a simple line drawing has sprung into life. Sensual yet strong, the soft curve of each line creates a whimsy that is hard to describe. Straight lines have been softened, allowing the timber seat and back to appear as if floating above the thin steel frame. What remains are the bare essentials in our own interpretation of the humble cafe chair: light, stackable and durable, completed by a highly comfortable silhouette. Materials Powder coated steel frame with seat and back in moulded plywood. Seat and back comes in selected wood veneer or/and upholstery. Florence Coffee and Side Table New Works Studio With the additions of the Florence coffee and side table, a bold simplicity has been brought into more intimate surrounds. These smaller family members seek to provide the perfect platform on which to display the objects of living. With an angular black steel frame offset by a rounded black marble table top; this new scale creates the perfect subtle centre-piece. Pleat Pitcher Omayra Maymo The Pleat pitcher adds to our growing collection of table top items that mix everyday functionality with a sculptural touch. Alongside Ripple and Aura, a polished stainless steel silhouette allows it to reflect its surroundings whilst maintaining a unique presence. With one simple pull on the cylindrical exterior, a perfect spout is formed. Whilst creating a highly functional piece, this action accentuates both the strength and simplicity of the Pleat pitcher.

Tense Pendant Lamp Panter & Tourron

Stretching to over one metre in length, the Tense pendant lamp appears like a soft cloud has floated in. A truly modern construction, its soft Tyvek diffuser represents a material both durable and soft â&#x20AC;&#x201C; whilst being 100% recyclable. The flexibility of this paper-like diffuser allows its slim frame to accentuate the cloud like qualities of the Tense pendant lamp. Finished with a slimline LED light source, all components fit into a tube for ease of transport. A truly modern approach to lighting. Materials Shade in Tyvek membrane (100% recycled) thightened up with carbon rods, cord in black PVC and dimmable LED light source. Lantern Globe Lamps Anderssen & Voll Expanding into every aspect of the contemporary interior, the Lantern Globe Lamps complete this iconic series. The lamps feature a simple black steel support and fixing that allows the soft illumination of the rippled glass globe to shine brightest. Inspired by traditional Chinese rice paper lanterns, these additions allow you to take the series into all corners of the home – from bedside to the entry, kitchen to the reading room. Florence Rectangular Dining Table New Works Studio With strength in its simplicity, the Florence dining table grows once more into a new rectangular configuration. Two simple steel framed legs allow this larger version to extend into bigger dining areas as well as work settings. With a wooden table top, Florenceâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s strong yet subtle presence allows the function of daily life to take centre stage. Karl-Johan Pendant Lamp Signe Hytte

The Karl-Johan pendant lamp focuses on the soft yet distinct silhouette of its predecessor. The material combinations of the table and wall lamp have been removed, allowing the rounded glass form to shine brightest. A compact LED light source bounces light around the globes interior, creating a volume free of visual interference. The latest Karl-Johan family member has all the required ingredients, and nothing more. Materials Shade in mouth blown opal or smoked glass with black powder coated steel fitting included dimmable LED light source and black PVC cord.
