Each is handcrafted from unique materials in its atelier located in Rome, Italy, in collaboration with internationally renowned architects and designers. Every lamp is recognizable and original thanks to unique, unbreakable technopolymers, sculpted into three dimensional shapes, decorations and effects that would be impossible using any other material.

Dal 1994, Slamp è leader nella creazione di lampade di design originali, eclettiche e contemporanee, realizzate a mano nell’atelier di Roma (Italia), utilizzando materiali unici e collaborando con i più noti architetti e designer internazionali. Unicità e riconoscibilità di ogni lampada passano attraverso l’uso di tecnopolimeri unici, nobili e infrangibili che permettono di realizzare forme, decori ed effetti altrimenti impossibili con altri materiali.

UNVEIL THE UNIQUE

Every Slamp piece is unique. Unique because the creative process does not stem from a 3D file. The creative process requires a designer to get their hands “dirty” as they cut, sew and sculpt not only the materials, but pay respect to 25 years of grounded studious, research and development. Unique because in an atelier, the ladies who “tailor” light don their white gloves and bring a poetic, original “garment” to life, their pride illuminating those who will inhabit alongside their creations. Unique in their ability to stand out amongst the objects of those who narrate their own identity through interior design: those who leave on the light as the only voice within a silent evening; those who unknowingly, with a simple click, reignite the full-on energy of artistic creation.

Ogni Slamp è unica. Unica perché frutto di un processo creativo che non origina da un file 3d, ma che richiede al progettista la volontà di “sporcarsi le mani”, tagliando, cucendo e trattando materiali e valori sedimentati in 25 anni di studio, di ricerca e sviluppo. Unica perché allestita in un atelier dove ogni giorno le sarte della luce, indossati i loro guanti bianchi, sono orgogliose di mettere al mondo un capo che si distingue per poetica e originalità, e per quel moto di orgoglio che saprà accendere negli occhi di chi lo indosserà nella propria vita. Unica perché espressione di chi ama raccontare la propria identità attraverso gli oggetti che lo circondano; di chi lascia che la silenziosa presenza della luce si trasformi nella migliore compagna di una sera; di chi ogni giorno, con un quel semplice click sull’interruttore, riaccende, inconsapevolmente, tutta l’energia della creazione.

WEIGHTLESS FEMININE ESSENCE, PRIMITIVE DOMESTIC CRAFT Kalatos is clearly inspired by the art of weaving baskets and cane sacks, a traditional domestic art that has been a part of humankind since prehistoric times.The collection is a high-tech take on this artisan craft, using Slamp’s unique technopolymers; there are suspension and floor versions, both with an integrated magnetic system. Il design di Kalatos è di chiara ispirazione all’arte dell’intreccio, espressione dell’artigianato artistico tradizionale che l’uomo porta con sè da quando, nella preistoria, intrecciava fibre vegetali per dar vita a cesti e canestri. LEAVING BEHIND THE LAMP, CELEBRATING THE LIGHT Idea is the essence of light! By removing everything structural and decorative, what remains is the distillation of light: a lightbulb with a golden base, “magically” suspended on a brass arm. The G9 light source is easily changed by simply unscrewing it from the base. Idea è l’essenza della luce! Eliminato tutto ciò che in un corpo luminoso è un surplus di elementi decorativi, ciò che ne rimane è la vera essenza della luce: una lampadina con virola dorata “magicamente” sospesa su un’ asta di ottone spazzolato. Cold industrial processing ensures that no harmful substances are emitted during manufacturing, including the materials submitted to maximum thermal treatment. Water vapor is released during only 20% of production. Our products are shock-resistant and can be hand-washed, ensuring not only quality but longevity. Slamp’s use of raw materials, from its technopolymers to cardboard packaging, is in accordance with the International Standards for Environmental Protection. I materiali utilizzati nella produzione delle nostre lampade sono riciclabili e riutilizzabili. Il processo di lavorazione industriale, a freddo, permette di non sprigionare sostanze nocive ma solo nel 20% dei casi vapore acqueo. Inoltre i materiali sottoposti ai massimi stress termici non emettono tossine. Il prodotto permette di essere lavato ed è resistente agli urti, garantendo una eccellente longevità.
