What is Going Global? Going Global delivers an international forum for world leaders of international education to debate the role the international arena plays in global tertiary education policy. We are thrilled to be hosting Going Global 2014 in Miami, a diverse city and a hub for culture and education. This dynamic city is a crossroad between South, Central and North America and it is an ideal location for dialogue about how we create shared purposes and outcomes for education globally. Each year, we bring Going Global to a different region of the world as we seek to explore future thinking in international tertiary education. This is our first time in the Americas. Vibrant and fast moving, the region embraces the unparalleled strength of the USA on the global education stage, alongside new, rapidly rising players like Mexico, Brazil, Colombia and Chile. It is this exciting melting pot of education traditions, cultures, ideas and aspirations that sets the context for our conference.

Call for poster presentations Going Global 2014 Going Global 2014 explores how innovation systems are formed, structured and driven globally and transnationally. Delegates will consider how talent to drive innovation is developed and how countries meet the challenge of providing sufficient high quality tertiary education to ensure the widespread inclusion and participation of their citizens. The conference will focus on what impact an internationalised higher and tertiary sector can deliver in these twin areas of innovation and inclusion. We will investigate how impact is delivered – and explore the outcomes for policy makers, funders, tertiary education stakeholders and the institutions themselves.

Call for paper proposals now closed – but still time for poster submissions. We are still accepting proposals for poster presentations at Going Global 2014.
