FROM THE EDITOR On the origins of this project ...
Earth Poems is the first in a series of events and publications designed to promote ecological concerns within the school community, and to develop the environmental consciousness of each child. Already the school incorporates into its curriculum an extensive exploration of this subject, with pupils investigating a range of topics. Earth Poems is a platform for pupils to express, in a creative manner, their understanding of this knowledge and the world in which they live. It highlights their concerns for the future and the joy of the natural world that they experience in the present. In reading the poems we gain an insight into how the youth of today see the world and what we can do together to make it a better place.

HYERIN PARK, YEAR 12 Hye Rin is from Korea and it is her ambition to attend Art school in America. Hye Rin was recently received the accolade of having her work deemed to be in the top ten worldwide. She has been in the school for 2 years, bringing a unique sense of colour and lightness to her work and the school.
