Just over 100 members attended, and with members from all over the UK. Following the meal Patricia Goldie spoke on behalf of the Scottish Club and before inviting BSCS President Stewart Stronach to say a few words on behalf of the Society.

Tom Bruce of the Tillyeve herd, and the Scottish Young Farmer of the Year, also gave a speech mixing humour with insight to give his thoughts and perspective on the Simmental breed.

Following the informal speeches it was time to draw the raffle, which raised a fantastic £1100 for Ward L50 at Leeds General liver and kidney unit for their wish list and

Wee Scottish livers who fund training of specialist liver nurses and Sonagraphers.

A 50th Anniversary cake was kindly provided by Dorothy Moffat. Please also see the report and pictures on this 50th anniversary dinner in the News Section of this Review.
