Somewhere along the way, I stumbled upon Harbour Island, a remote island in the Bahamas, where I fell in love with a man and a gentler way of life. Here, we created a home for our five children.

Born under a lucky star, I wanted to share part of my life — a little bit of my British heritage and a lot of my island story. So I created a unique line of the highest quality accessories and gifts, infused with a sense of adventurous spirit.
I created a company so that other women could join me and run it as their own business, on their own terms, in their own time.
And I wanted to create a force of entrepreneurial trailblazers.
I grew up in the rolling hills of Oxfordshire, England, went to school in Scotland, studied in Boston, modeled in Paris and lived in New York.

To be worn in so many different ways: a scarf for the city, a sarong for the beach, or a wrap over that little black dress. We surprised pastelcolored Harbour Island by painting the Landing Hotel a soft dove grey. I have never grown tired of this neutral palette, or the jungle green.

Sitting on our veranda, in the Bahamas, in competition with my seven-year-old daughter to see who could paint the better palm frond, I created this design. Hers was certainly more inventive but we settled on this.

When I was a child my father would insist each family member marked their luggage for the French Riviera, with personalised geometric labels, designed by him in bright, bold, standout colours. At that age, and not wanting to stand out in any way, I was aghast. Now I look back and think how incredibly groovy that all was.

In England, deep in the Oxfordshire countryside, where I grew up, we have a secret walled garden reached by a small footbridge. It is filled with traditional English Roses and Peonies. Far from all the noise.
As we meander down our beach path, my children and I marvel at the fragile beauty of the Spiderlily as she grows improbably out of the bare pink sand. Sometimes we carry the flower home to admire her for longer and enjoy her wild intoxicating scent.
