I am privileged that my extended family life and my work life allow me to cross paths with so many amazing people. Many of whom are creative trailblazers who have developed their own brands and products with a distinct point-of-view.
THE COMPANY
Our collections of gifts, beauty and accessories are sold through networks of entrepreneurial women, back in the heart of the home, creating a more meaningful shopping experience. We call these smart savvy spirited women our Ambassadors, and together we are building more than a company, we are building a community.
THE COLLECTION
I founded this company with two experienced business-minded partners, Konstantin Glasmacher, a serial entrepreneur and developer of innovative and disruptive business models, and Nicholas Keuper, former Managing Director with The Boston Consulting Group. Don’t be fooled, they may sound deadly serious, but they are both enormous fun.
The inspiration comes from everywhere including my small and eclectic boutique on Harbour Island, where we offer curated collections of unexpected finds.
We created this company so that others could join us and run it as their own business, on their own terms, in their own time.
I grew up in England. riding bareback on horses, as my father David Hicks set the world alight with his vibrating color schemes and geometric patterns My mother, Lady Pamela Hicks, sat quietly by, having witnessed the blitz, and the partition of India (her father was the last viceroy of India, hence my name) and serving as a lady-in waiting to the Queen. For the last twenty years, I’ve made a life and home on a small island in the Bahamas with my other half, David, and our five children.

Born under a lucky star, I wanted to share part of my life – a little bit of my British heritage and a lot of my island story. So I created these collections of accessories and gifts, and infused them with a zesty stories and family history.

Inspired by a centuries old Indian process of hand block printing on cotton. Made in small batches, which dry by the warmth of the Rajasthan sun, resulting in slight differences in color and pattern, which of course we love.
These frames, exclusively designed for us by friends in London were lovingly handmade by artisans in the foothills of the Italian Alps. They have now traveled to give us shade, wherever in the world we may be.

Wonderful Danish friends designed these clothes for us. Inspired by their world travels… they have cleverly merged the ancient art of patterns, prints, embroidery, and trim of Asia and India into very modern designs. These silhouettes combined with ethnic details have been my go-to favorites forever.
Hats, being the rare accessory that allows one to hide and stand out at the same time, are a must. These are hand crafted on carved wood blocks collected over time, cut, sewn, and trimmed by friends in their Bronx studio who are dedicated to preserving the craft of traditional hat-making.
BIRD + KNOLL Fall 2017
Inspired by viewing gemstones through a looking glass, Anna has layered these opulent images onto hand-polished Lucite nesting boxes, (I grew up with Lucite all around, my father adored it) creating pieces that express the emotion of the stones themselves. For our collaboration we were inspired by Italian Alabaster and the incredible patterns that emerged when we played with the scale of each stone.

These luxurious oversized cashmere-blend scarves from Bird + Knoll of Australia, are simply wearable art. Each of these three scarves, made exclusively for us, is printed with one of my snaps from some of my favorite places in London, Oxford, and of course my mother’s house The Grove .

I chose to collaborate with Dempsey & Carroll to introduce my own line of very serious stationery, combined with a large dose of fun. Stationery Engravers since 1878 and handmade in the US, Dempsey & Carroll is committed to craft, exacting standards, and meticulous attention to detail. Long Live the hand written letter.

A nutty, beloved friend for many years how could we resist combining Jonathan’s impeccable craftsmanship and irreverent luxury with my rather mad daydreams. We created a line of very swank decorative trays and boxes with my signature goodluck beetle and gobs of gold.
