WILDLAND When you are out there on the line a single FR garment can be the difference. That is a 4 responsibility that we take seriously. When the CrewBoss team first came together in 1987, we had a singular vision to make products that would change the lives of wildland firefighters, products that would be the difference. We had no idea then that we would create products that set standards.
But we wouldn’t stop there. To be honest, we can’t really stop there. Pushing innovation in the industry is a CrewBoss tradition. We knew we had to break the standard set by our Classic Brush Pant, and with the Elite Pant, we absolutely destroyed it. It took us years of research, rigorous testing, and late nights refining prototypes before we had the Elite Pant. This brush pant reframes all the functional features that you depend on into a more tailored and ergonomic fit. It incorporates new features that give you more function in the field. It changes the game.
Our Classic Brush Pant was the first BDU style wildland pant on the market. For it’s design, we compared protective apparel across industries, sourced materials that would change the game, and listened to feedback from the toughest firefighters we could find. We built in functional features, like a crotch reinforcement that is guaranteed never to blow out, and added a new level of efficiency to the protective apparel on the market. Our Classic Brush Pant has been a tradition on the fire line ever since.
Wildland firefighting is not one size fits all and your brush pants shouldn’t be either. Classic or Elite, we can outfit you in the fabric, color, and NFPA certification you need to do your job well. Our team will work with you to provide insight into the available options and their inherent benefits. Working with us to build the pant you need means that when you are out there facing a fire, you never have to question if your protective apparel will be the difference.

GEAR

M-Pac
33
The landscape of wildland fire is changing and with that the daily job of a wildland firefighter has become even more varied. With this in mind, CrewBoss created the M-Pac. This modular pack is designed to bring all your gear to the fire ground, and give you the ultimate flexibility in what you take with you throughout the day. The top loading, modular M-Pac quickly transforms from an Initial Attack Engine Pack to an Extended Operations Line Pack. Tested in varied landscapes, under harsh conditions, by wildland firefighters, the M-Pac has incorporated design features to make it functional, flexible, and tough on the fire line. • PALS webbing on shoulder straps and front of the pack provide attachment points for additional gear. • Shoulder harness strap design with adjustable sternum strap allows for lower distribution of pack weight on various torso heights. • Back wall design allows wearer to stow shoulder and waist harnesses behind the back padding or use hook and loop ends to gather excess strap. • Zippers and pull tabs in red for quick identification of pockets. • Metal snaps on the zipper pulls secure the modular connection points. GEAR Blackburn Pack The life of a firefighter is rigorous and demanding. Hiking up hazardous terrain, heading into a fire, and spiking out can be tough on you and your gear. Although the Blackburn Pack has just been released to the market, it is anything but new. It has been rigorously tested by some of the toughest crews we know to insure that it can stand up to any assignment. Our R&D guys not only tested for toughness but they listened to type one testing crews, incorporating many style and design choices that directly benefit the wearer. This pack is engineered to make the demands of the job easier. • PALS webbing on shoulder straps and front of the pack provides attachment points for additional gear. • Jump harness straps are included for aviation operations or as a attachment points for additional gear. • Side compression straps secure internal contents and bring the pack weight closer to the back. • Shoulder harness strap design allows for lower distribution of pack weight on various torso heights. • Fire shelter integrated into the pack to prevent swinging, loss, or component failure while compression straps prevent fire shelter from coming into contact with wearer’s back. • Back wall design allows wearer to stow shoulder and waist harnesses behind the back padding or use hook and loop ends to gather excess strap. • Zippers and pull tabs in red for quick identification of pockets. Powertraveller Solarmonkey Adventurer The solarmonkey adventurer is a slimline, compact 2-panel solar charger with a 2500mAh internal lithium polymer battery. The clamshell design offers optimum weight-to-efficiency at just 265g and the 2 solar panels output 3 watt max. The adventurer features auto-load, self sensing switching technology, meaning when a device is connected, the adventurer will automatically start to charge your device and will optimize the charging parameters required. The solarmonkey adventurer also has a solar energy detection feature which activates the incorporated state-of-theart MPPT (maximum power point tracker) technology, allowing it to charge your device more efficiently in low light conditions. Solar panels will charge the internal battery in just 12 hours in optimum light conditions. Solarmonkey Adventurer | ACM02
Powertraveller Powermonkey Extreme The powermonkey extreme houses a massive 9000mAh capacity Lithium Polymer battery and offers users real power in a compact, durable shell. The solar panel can be attached to tents or rucksacks via the included Velcro strap and is designed to take the knocks and spills of both the power hungry adventurer and the busy traveler. Powermonkey Extreme | ACM01

That’s why we created an ID Program with a variety of options from screen printing to sewn-on lettering. 3M reflective lettering can be applied to any garment to meet department specifications. These letters are sewn directly to a self-fabric placard that is sewn on to the garment. 2 inch and 3 inch lettering is available.

ADVANCE™ Advance™ offers proven performance in a protective fabric. Its special rip-stop construction, engineered from a blend of Dupont™ Kevlar® and Nomex® brand fibers, provides high strength, durability and thermal protection. Clothing made from tough Advance™ fabric is geared for the thermal hazards, long hours and rugged terrain of wildland fire fighting. The built-in protection of fiber blend and rip-stop weave provides strength and flexibility even after extreme thermal exposure.
NOMEX® IIIA Superior thermal protection is assured with apparel and accessories manufactured with Nomex®. Garments made of Nomex® are inherently flame-resistant and won’t melt, drip or support combustion in the air. And, the thermal protection offered by Nomex® is permanent — its superior flame resistance cannot be washed out or worn away.
7oz Navy Advance™ 7oz Khaki Advance™ 7oz Spruce Advance™
A key factor in the thermal protection Nomex® provides is that it carbonizes and thickens when exposed to the intense heat of today’s fires. This increases the protective barrier between the heat source and the skin and minimizes burn injury. This tough, protective barrier stays supple and flexible until it cools, which gives you valuable extra seconds of protection when you need it most.
TECASAFE® PLUS With superior flash fire protection, TenCate Tecasafe® Plus offers Coolderm™ Technology, an enhanced comfort experience.
6.8oz Navy Nomex® Twill 6oz Yellow Nomex® 6oz Spruce Nomex® Twill
The scientists at TenCate Protective Fabrics USA developed an exceptional blend of fibers that provide Active Moisture Management. This moves moisture away from the wearer while generating an evaporative cooling effect in warmer environments - or regulating temperature in cooler climates.
Inherently flame-resistant (FR) so the protection comes “built in” and will never wash or wear out, Tecasafe® Plus with Coolderm™ Technology is engineered as a more durable and comfortable to chemically treated wildland fabrics.
FABRICS
Tecasafe® Plus with Coolderm™ Technology is a hypoallergenic textile that’s extremely comfortable and easy to wear. The fabric arrives soft with ergonomic performance so there’s no break-in period, easy donning and doffing, and no chaffing or irritation during extended wear.

Washing Regardless of the type of fabric, any CrewBoss protective garment should be machine washed in warm but not hot water. This will help against damage to reflective trim and lettering.
Drying CrewBoss garments will perform at their best when dried in the tumble low setting. Although some fibers are less likely to shrink than others, this helps reduce the risk of potential shrinkage to the garment.
Special Care Instructions Do not use bleach. Do not use any fabric softeners. Keep out of prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Dry cleaning is not recommended as the process may damage reflective trim.
