Used exclusively by FEMA (USAR), and HHS (DMAT) teams in response to every major disaster since 1992, the Western Shelter GateKeeper system provides a turn-key solution that can be interoperable with other WSS shelters during multi-agency events. Let our expert team prepare a quote specifically designed to fit your mission.

See what our customers are saying: “Since 1992 we have been using the solutions provided by this Corporation and their quality and design make it the ideal solution for solving our mission problems that we encounter on the field. They have also been our choice on Mobile Medical Tents/ Shelters and Clinics with their Mobility and Gatekeeper product lines. The fact that other Federal agencies, many states and Government Institutions that deploy this equipment make it easier to coordinate and maintain interoperability with them on many levels.” -Robert Bishop, Cache Manager DHHS/ASPR “Last week we found ourselves unexpectedly in the middle of the worst lightening storm to hit Maui in the last 100 years. It rolled in at about 10pm and for the next six hours your shelter withstood gusts of over 60 mph, non-stop lightening strikes all around us and over 18 inches of rain! As far as I am concerned there are no other shelters on the market besides yours.” -Greg Hansen, Pu`u Kukui Watershed Preserve, Maui, Hawaii

Command your response.

“Once deployed and manned by QFRS staff, the FHC (shelter system) has the capacity to selfsustain the relevant facility for an initial period of up to 10 days. It offers facilities including working and sleeping tents with associated equipment, showers, toilets, water purification and water distribution, and lighting and power generation. Essentially, it’s a quick hit. We can mobilise this stuff within about three to four hours, get it on the road, get it out there and get it set up in about four hours so people can move into it. The system’s flexibility means we can put up to 15-20 tents together at short notice to support a variety of different incidents. For example, we could support a rapid damage response, a police or wildfire command in the field, a medical triage area or field hospital.” -Executive Manager Gary Littlewood , QFRS (Queensland US&R Taskforce) “Very impressed with the layout and variability of this product. The tent our EOC is set up in is the Western Shelter 1935 and we received 24mph sustained and 40mph gusts at our location in Waveland, MS from Hurricane Rita. The tents have held together fully, and we have had no water leaks or intrusion from anywhere. I can tell you that everyone here has made comments about how well Western Shelter has held up.” -Mark Bennett, NREMTP, AAS, Disaster Preparedness Specialist, SMAT II Coordinator “...you folks have kept me toasty in the cold and dry in the wet for many years...” -Dewey H. Perks, Disaster Resources Unit Leader, USAID/OFDA “The ease of set-up and take-down with very little training and practice, as well as outstanding 24-7 customer service has made the Western Shelter system one of the cornerstones of our equipment cache.” -Glenn Susskind BS, NREMT-P, Section Chief - Logistics, TN-1 DMAT

As a member of Law Enforcement, you are tasked with responding to a wide range of incidents and operations on a local and national level. Responding to these incidents often requires the rapid deployment of a command and control structure or an efficient, all-hazards approach from multiple agencies. Quickly establishing a strong BoO allows your team to take control of the event.

Responding to the unique demands of a search and rescue, mutual aid, or a county wide planned event can be a challenging process of coordinating resources, staff, and volunteers across a county. As a member of local law enforcement, the challenge of conducting and coordinating response efforts “So that others may live,” falls on you

Preserving an undisturbed crime scene can always be a challenge. Contamination from unauthorized officers, other emergency responders, bystanders, and the press can deposit unwanted materials in the hot zone or inner perimeter of a crime scene. Weather and other climate constraints can also hamper the efforts of evidence collection.

The Western Shelter System has been designed to rapidly deploy a secured command and control area. Our turnkey shelter system supports effective BoO during spontaneous or planned events and is ideal for creating a flexible logistical footprint that allows you to quickly arrange personnel, equipment, and supplies to mission requirements.

When commanding operations that require a high level of tactical knowledge and swift response, the last thing that should be on your mind are the support products your mission depends on. Western Shelter Systems has engineered a shelter system that can respond with the same quickness and versatility of your team. The level of portability and interoperability inherent in the system creates a unique advantage when coordinating a multi-jurisdictional response with US&R, Public Safety, National Guard, USFS or NPS.

Western Shelter Systems provides a rapidly deployable enclosed shelter that is ideal for the protection of the crime scene – from all sides. With single access/egress, special lighting, protection from the outside weather, and interior climate control, the Western Shelter System can be a solution that allows for successful gathering of crucial evidence.
