Light Painting is an advanced photography course designed for photographers who want to learn to take photographs of a subject or scene in total darkness and paint the scene with the introduction of artificial light source. Participants will receive instruction on topics that include Light Painting Objects, Light Painting Scenes, Light Painting People, Light Painting Astrophotography, and others. Participants will receive instruction on camera settings, camera technique, and compositional considerations that will assist participants in recording light painted images. Participants will be introduced to various specialized equipment for light painting, including flashlights and other artificial light sources. Students are strongly encouraged to have their photographic equipment with them for the practical exercises.
