4TH QUARTER GRADING! Grading for the 4th Quarter of the 2019-2020 school year is outlined below. Per the Illinois State Board of Education guidance, all Brookwood School District 167 teachers will be using the following guidelines for grading. Please note that the first concern of all Brookwood 167 staff is the safety and well-being of our students and their families. It is understood that parents will do the best they can to support their children with remote learning amid all of the many challenges that COVID-19 has presented. To the extent that it is possible, students are required to engage in remote learning. Remote learning can be accomplished with students completing many online options and/or by completing a hard copy of Instructional Learning Packet #3. If needed, parents may still request a device (iPad or laptop) on a loan basis for their student by contacting the building principal.

4TH QUARTER GRADING! There are a variety of online resources available to students. Many of these resources are the same ones used when students were actually in the classroom. Some of the resources provided are new and provide students with choices and/or differentiated learning options. Staff are looking for “student engagement” of any kind with any of the online resources they are providing daily and/or completion of the instructional learning packet. Any attempt by students to complete assignments is “acceptable”. Teachers will provide feedback for work completed or work attempts through google classroom, Class Dojo. email, zoom meetings, pictures, videos, or phone calls. The completion of student work will be acknowledged through a variety of means. Staff will not be accepting any hard copy paperwork.
Online programs or digital formats: •
Any online completion of work through software programs that students may already be enrolled in such as Math 180, Read 180, System 44, iRead, Mathia, Study Island, Brain Pop, Flocabulary, Wonders, StudySync, My Math, and Carnegie Math
