Saturday Academic Camp Dear Brookwood Junior High School Parents/Guardians: We are excited at BJHS about our [5th Annual Saturday Academic Camp]. The academic camp began on January 27th and will end on March 3rd. Saturday Academic Camp offers students additional, targeted academic support and instruction. Each Saturday session will be (2.5) hours in length and will provide students with instruction in Mathematics, Reading (ELA), and will also include a fitness activity (the fitness component addresses health/wellness with students and educates them on the importance of regular exercise/physical activity and nutrition). Sessions begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 12:00 p.m. (1 hour for Reading, 1 hour for Math, and 30 minutes for Physical Fitness) on the following dates: January 27, February 3, February 10, February 17, February 24, March 3. We welcome all parent communication and will be timely in our response to your questions and/or concerns. If your child experiences difficulty in his/her learning, please contact us immediately. Teachers do offer extra help to students either before school, lunchtime, and/or after school. A school-wide tutoring program is offered to students as well.
Please encourage your child to ask for help whenever it is needed! (708) 758-5252
