Black Women, Black History
For thousands of years before the slave trade and colonization of Africa, before Christianity became a substitute for ancient spiritual traditions, many African societies were matriarchal.
The enslaved were forced through these systems to adopt and adapt to existing in a whitewashed world similar to what was experienced by many who remained behind in colonized Africa.
Early Africa, the origin of the world’s earliest civilizations evolved from the “spiritual, economic and social efforts” of the women of that land, in matriarchal societies.
With this in mind, it makes sense that the Black girls, youth and women stolen from the Motherland beginning in the early 1600’s carried within them the spirit of matriarchy just as sure as they carried the seeds of future generations.
and learning the stories of our foremothers, including the unsung lives of female slaves like Tempie Herndon Durham or Sarah Gudger or Lucindy Lawrence Jurdon and millions of other women, one can learn how that spirit of matriarchy endured.
As such, it should then come as no surprise that a Harriet Tubman would rise up to lead passengers on the underground railroad or a Suzie King Taylor though hired as a laundress during the Civil War would instead serve as a nurse to wounded soldiers, or that a Sojourner Truth would have courage to escape slavery with her infant daughter and become a leading abolitionist and activist for women’s rights.

A Diamond Declaration: Cheryl and Hardy Brown Celebrate 60 Years of Love
by Asante-Ra
Mr. Hardy Brown, Sr. and Mrs. Cheryl Brown are honored for their love, dedication, and contributions to the African American community in San Bernardino and beyond, and their service to the inland region.
Cheryl served as the 47th Assembly District Assemblymember from 2012 to 2016, chairing the Assembly Aging and Long-Term Care Committee and authoring a resolution establishing the California Task Force on Family Caregiving.
They are philanthropists, community activists, and former publishers who co-founded the Brown Publishing Company in 1980 to produce Black Voice News, which turned 50 last year. Their names were added to a list of historic publishers, including Frederick Douglass and Ida B. Wells-Barnett, who published the truth and gave voice to the disenfranchised.
Hardy also co-founded California Black Media (CBM), a network of 22 African American media owners in California that helps inform and educate the African American community on key issues. The couple founded the Black Voice Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to training and educating individuals in print, digital, and electronic media, as well as personal development programs.
One of the Browns’ most significant contributions is the Footsteps to Freedom Study Tours, which partnered with several education and federal agencies to lead a unique summer study tour program.
In this program, educators and college students learn first-hand about the incredible courage of the people who sought freedom or who helped others achieve it along the central and lesser-known route of the Underground Railway from Kentucky to Canada. Over 500 area teachers and administrators have taken the course since its inception.
Moreover, Black Voice News spearheaded the "Building Better Communities" program, which works with local companies, organizations, and agencies to improve neighborhoods. This program had a significant impact on the Inland Empire, helping to improve access to education, healthcare, and other critical services for African Americans and other underrepresented communities in the region.
Cheryl has consistently advocated for family-
owned small businesses, both inside and outside of elected office. Her father, Marvin, a WWII veteran, founded a tax preparation business in Southern California more than six decades ago, and instilled in her the value and community benefits of small business ownership. Today, Cheryl's older brother runs the family business, while her daughter, Dr. Paulette Brown-Hinds, follows in the family's footsteps as the current publisher of Black Voice News
The couple raised four children in San Bernardino. Lynn, Paulette, Hardy Jr., and Regina who collectively, have blessed their parents with many grandchildren.
A love story
During a recent, exclusive interview with Black Voice News, the couple shared a more personal and intimate story about their relationship, why it has sustained, and how they have defied the odds of longevity regarding their marriage.
Q: Did you have many challenges combining families and maintaining relationships with in-laws? If so, how have you navigated them?
A: There were no challenges according to the couple. Cheryl’s mom absolutely loved Hardy. And Cheryl’s dad did the couple’s taxes until one of Cheryl’s brothers began doing them a few decades ago. Each of their parents taught them that they can do anything and they have carried that can-do energy into everything they’ve done. “Even with our kids’ in-laws, we are a big family”
During our interview, Cheryl received flowers from her brother for her birthday, further demonstrating the emphasis this family puts on bonding and the closeness they share.
Q: It’s Valentine’s Day. What’s your secret to thriving as a couple? How have you maintained intimacy and romantic connection in your union despite the demands of everyday life? What simple yet obvious ways to maintain connection that have

Roughly 19 million women of “reproductive age” who live in the U.S. are in need of publicly funded contraception and lack access to full service health centers, according to Power to Decide, a nonprofit organization that advocates to reduce teen pregnancy.
Since the overturning of Roe last June, access to reproductive services has been severely reduced across the nation. According to Power to Decide, there are 1,190,830 women in need who live in counties without access to a single health center that provides the full range of methods which includes intrauterine devices (IUDs), implants and other FDA-approved methods such as birth control pills and emergency contraception on site.
In California, there are approximately 1,100 health centers across the state and a total of 8.3 million women aged 13-44 years old, but nearly 2.6 million women in need live in contraceptive deserts.
But one brand is hoping to make emergency contraceptives (EC) more accessible to communities in need. Julie, a new FDAapproved emergency contraceptive brand, sets out to change the conversation about reproductive health by dispelling myths about EC and eliminating the shame and stigma

that often accompany the topic of emergency contraception.
Co-founded by Amanda E. Johnson, the founder of Mented Cosmetics, Julie joins Plan B as one of the few over-the-counter (OTC) emergency contraceptives sold in retail stores. The FDA first approved OTC emergency contraceptives in 2006 for women 18 years and older. In 2013, the FDA approved the use of OTC products for women of all ages without a prescription. Julie can be purchased at Walmart for about $42 and comes in vibrant packaging
with bright colors.
Black Voice News spoke with Johnson about Julie, what inspired her to launch the brand and what impact Julie will have on communities of color.
BVN: What encouraged or influenced you and your co-founders to develop Julie?
A: I love this question because this is our big kind of “aha” moment, if you will. So, my first startup was a company called Mented Cosmetics

through it isn’t possible. Now when I visit, I often wander slowly and at length through one or two extraordinary galleries. The last time I visited, I already knew I wanted to spend my scant hour looking at four things: Harriet Tubman’s hymnal, the Greensboro, NC lunch counter, Emmett Till’s coffin, and the Contemplative Court.
The entire museum is of course a towering national achievement, and public interest in it has been unprecedented. I am an ethnomusicologist and I focus on race and performance in my research. I pay attention to how people make sense out of their lives and their communities through performance, whether music, dance, theater, film, or ritual. Some of the exhibits activate a kind of participatory spectatorship that is powerfully effective. Each of you will undoubtedly find certain objects displayed in the NMAACH that speak deeply to you, whether the small shackles for children or George Clinton’s
exuberant mother ship. I want to tell you about four exhibits that moved me profoundly.
I’ll start with a single case containing two objects that belonged to Harriet Tubman. One is a white lace shawl given to her by Queen Victoria. I imagine it adorning Tubman’s small shoulders, yet I can’t help but think she surely didn’t wear this delicate thing while leading slaves through the woods to freedom.
I’m more drawn to the book beside it, a small dog-eared and yellowed collection of gospel
songs.
Tubman didn’t know how to read or write but she famously sang spirituals from an early age, not least as coded signals to slaves planning escape. The hymnal is an extraordinary and puzzling object. It manifests Tubman’s deep connection to song and belief. Certainly she didn’t need the hymnal to learn songs: she learned songs in the ways that slaves and many people across history and across the world have

Uncovering and Honoring the Contributions of Queer Black Sheroes
and Heroes
Due to the extensive historical, legal, and social persecution of those in the LGBTQ+ community, it’s very difficult to know for certain how many Black heroes and sheroes may have been queer. (source: aclutx.com)
This February, in honor of Black History Month, let’s celebrate the contributions of Black LGBTQ+ individuals who have made significant impacts in history. These sheroes and heroes have overcome adversity and pushed for change in their unique ways, and their legacies continue to inspire and guide today’s and future generations.
The following three trailblazers are among the many members of the Black LGBTQ+community
who left a lasting impact on society. They include Frances Ellen Watkins Harper, William Dorsey Swann, and Marsha P. Johnson. Here are their stories.
Frances Ellen Watkins Harper
Frances Ellen Watkins Harper was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1825 to free Black parents and was raised by her aunt and uncle after being orphaned at the age of three.
Her uncle was a prominent abolitionist and educator who ensured she had a comprehensive education and inspired her activism as well.
Harper began working in her teen years and became one of the nation’s earliest, published Black women poets by the age of 21. In her midtwenties, she went on to become the first woman to teach at Union Seminary, a school for Black students in the free State of Ohio.
In 1858, Harper made headlines when she stood up for her rights by refusing to give up her seat in a segregated trolley car, an act of resistance similar to that of Rosa Parks, nearly a century before the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
The event inspired her famous poem, "Bury Me in a Free Land."
Throughout her life, Harper continued to be an influential social activist, co-founding the National Association for Colored Women with Rosetta Douglass-Sprague, the daughter of Frederick Douglass.
Although not much is known about Harper’s personal life, her close ties with early sapphics, abolitionists, and suffragists, such as Lucretia Mott and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, have led some to speculate about her possible membership in the LGBTQ community. She was included in a 1990 cultural anthology called, Lesbian Lists.
William Dorsey Swann
William Dorsey Swann was the earliest known openly gay drag queen and LGBTQ+ activist in the United States.

spent time in a rat infested jail cell for refusing to give up their seats on a bus in the segregated South, setting the stage for the day, 15 years later, when Rosa Parks, would repeat their experiment with Gandhi's theory of non violent resistance.
If we knew the genetic and spiritual legacy of Black women we would recognize the Ida B. Wells’, Mary McLeod Bethunes, Fannie Lou Hammers, Angela Davis’, Patrisse Cullors’, Tarana Burkes and others like them as they rise.
Behind each of these women—-from Tempie Herndon Durham to Tarana Burke—-and all those named in between, there are millions of other Black women who live or have lived quiet lives of everyday heroism as each in their own way do/did what it is/was given to them to do to help move the cause of justice and equality forward.
Among the many urgent and necessary tasks required in this effort is certainly the nurturing and caring for the children and youth of each successive generation. And yet, institutional and structural racism has made even this most natural prospect of womanhood an almost impossible task.
Research tells us that still births and infant deaths combined during slavery, may have resulted in a mortality rate as high as 50% among slave children within the first year of their lives, and among those who survived, enslaved mothers lived with the constant fear of their children being sold away.
Such loss was as real as the death of a child to a grieving slave mothers. And yet, these women persevered.
The courage and leadership of these women is the same resilience we witness today as babies born to Black women are more than twice as likely to die versus those born to White women and yet, Black birthing people persevere.
When it comes to the loss of life of Black children, it is the same resilience and determination we witnessed with Mamie TillMobley in 1955, when she stood before the world and demanded justice for her son, Emmett. And, it is the same “stay on to fight on spirit” we’ve witnessed over and over again in recent years as one matriarch after another stands in the
spirit of Till-Mobley, demanding justice for their own sons including but not limited to mothers like Trayvon Martin’s mother, Sabrina Fulton; Michael Brown’s mother, Lezley McSpadden; Jordan Davis’ mother, Lucy McBath; and more recently, Karon Blake’s mother, Londen Blake; and Tyre Nichols mother, RowVaughn Wells.
It is this same matriarchal spirit that manifests in other ways like the courageous determination of Black women like Vice President Kamala Harris and Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, who despite qualifications and overwhelming support endure the harsh criticism and vitriolic hate speech as they broke new barriers for their people and this nation.
Every day in every way Black women show up and show out because they know just like those before us who endured the middle passage, survived slavery, and managed through reconstruction, the old Jim Crow, the new Jim Crow, and the continuing battles for equity and justice, that as daughters of the mothers of humanity, today’s Black women carry the seeds and impetus of matriarch in their being just as their bodies carry the seeds of future generations.
As Langston Huges extolled, they “march ever forward, breaking down bars.”
Of course, this is just my opinion. I’m keeping it real.

made a difference in your union?
A: The Browns shared how they find ways to demonstrate being loving and devoted to each other all the time. They mentioned the importance of exchanging “I love you’s” daily. Hardy also recommended reading the 13th Chapter of Corinthians. He said it’s a way of life. Love is more than Valentine’s Day. “Demonstrate Love and devotion together everyday” he advised, “Valentine’s Day wouldn't mean much if you didn’t practice those things consistently.”
Q: What are you most proud of in your spouse? What makes you their biggest fan?
A: Hardy said he loves that Cheryl doesn’t hold grudges. Cheryl loves that he’s a good provider. Hardy has always had their backs. And Hardy knows Cheryl has his back. For example, since Hardy has trouble speaking now, whenever he wants to speak at City Council meetings, he’ll write his comments and Cheryl will read his words.
Hardy has lived with ALS for 23 years. The transition between Hardy being the provider has been relatively seamless and the couple says that they credit their foresight and planning for life with how they are still able to thrive now. Hardy said, “Once you do that, you’re not under stress.” Cheryl added, “In our early days, I made the kids' clothes. Sometimes I’d stay up all night, just for the kids to wake up and have their new clothes ready for school.”
Q: Can you discuss any trips or adventures you have taken together to keep your relationship dynamic?
A:The Browns used to visit family cross-country taking road trips from San Bernardino to North Carolina via Route 66. They traveled through the Smoky Mountains, and they even visited New York and a Rattlesnake Pit in Arizona. The Browns shared how the trips were impactful for the whole family. Even on anniversaries, the kids were included.
Q: You have four children, how did you navigate child rearing? What kinds of compromises did you have to make? Can you discuss any challenges you have faced in finding a healthy work-life balance and how you have overcome them?
A: Cheryl shared how when the kids were growing up, they needed assistance, now she is caregiving for Hardy. Regarding challenges, when a nearby school, Franklin Jr. High School was closed down, Hardy responded by running for School Board, won and held his seat for 12 years. “He encouraged kids to advocate for themselves,” Cheryl highlighted.
Be with people who help your being
Q: When you started your lives together, was there a couple you wanted to emulate?
A: There was no specific couple. Mr. Brown was adamant that, “We are not the exception.” The couple intentionally associated with people who knew how to keep a commitment. Hardy’s parents were married for a long time. Even during Hardy’s time as a Vice President at the National Newspaper Publishers Association, they were also surrounded by other thriving Black couples with similar aims. This theme was also present at their church, St. Paul AME, where many parishioners were married and shining examples of longevity.
Q: What advice do you have for Black couples starting their journey together?
A: Cheryl answered, “Get on one accord. You’re coming from two backgrounds. Try to find someone who was raised in a similar way to how you were raised” Hardy responded, “Always remember the oath you take. Understand and mean that. Then nothing can really come between you. It can’t be too bad.”
Cheryl recognizes that sometimes people can’t
remain together, “Some people might want to break their oaths. That’s okay. I am blessed that’s not me.”
Q: How have you maintained your identities and helped each other achieve personal goals and aspirations? How have you supported each other in navigating new opportunities such as career changes?
A: Cheryl said, “Anything I wanted to do, Hardy supported me. When I wanted to go to work, I did. He’s always been there to support me for whatever. And we are the same way for our kids. We support them.”
Hardy was a huge reason Cheryl ran for public office. He advocated for it and loaned the campaign the first $50K. On things that have made the family stand out.
Cheryl recalled a conversation where her mother encouraged her to do something out of her comfort zone, “Mr. Rheubottom has asked you to be the emcee at the community program.”
“I don't want to do that,” Chery responded. “Mom said, ‘I understand, but you’re going to do it.’ So Cheryl did it and she believes it helped her.
She said she was the same way with her kids. They initially had trepidation but with encouragement from their parents, they could do anything. As a result, the couple's

Even their 13-year-old granddaughter is learning to get used to public speaking at school. “Maybe she’ll be governor someday,” Cheryl remarked, hopeful she’ll continue the family tradition of civic service.
The Browns recently celebrated their 60th anniversary, which is rare and termed The Diamond Anniversary. Their love and commitment have stood the tests of time, with only 2% of currently married individuals claiming this milestone, according to the National Center for Family & Marriage Research (NCFMR).
The Browns' love story serves as an inspiration to many, and their contributions to the African American community will continue to be celebrated and remembered.
Overall, the Browns are an enterprising and a deeply inspiring couple. The community thanks them for their contributions and for sharing their amazing journey.

learned them: from other people, by hearing them sung, and by feeling their messages of faith and resilience through the body and spirit.
Still, the hymnal speaks volumes about the importance of Christian song for Tubman. I wish I could turn its pages. I wish I could ask her which songs were most important to her and why.
The museum galleries addressing the Civil Rights era are of course especially powerful and inspiring. Two exhibits in that section of the NMAACH are brilliant examples of how the museum goer can be drawn into an active relationship with history. One is a long lunch counter. An actual seat from a diner in Greensboro is encased beside it – a brilliant example of how a simple, everyday object can become powerfully meaningful. But I am drawn as much to the long counter with seats that invite the museum goer to sit and browse through the touch screens filling the counter space.
The act of sitting at the counter is saturated with meaning. If you sit, you can’t fail to ask yourself what you would have done. Would you have joined the students? Would you have put your body on the line of resistance? Will you do so now? Are you ready?
You rise and continue through the gallery and find yourself channeled toward a narrow corridor. The wall contains a quotation from Mamie Till-Mobley. You see small signs saying NO PHOTOGRAPHS. A museum guard is stationed at the inner corner and she reminds you: no photographs. You turn left past her and find yourself in a very small room. The outer walls have photographs of Emmett Till and his mother, and information about what happened and when.
Mostly you’re aware that the room is filled with the sound of music, and that it contains only one object: a coffin with raised lid. The small room is set up so that museum goers approach the coffin in single file, head ringing with gospel song, and you are suddenly at the funeral. You are one of the thousands who attended his funeral, and you are there to pay your respects and bear witness in the ways that Mamie Till demanded. No photographs. You are there to inhabit the moment and to fill up with
anger, sorrow, and determination.
You make your way out of that small room and through more galleries, and then up a ramp and around a corner. You find yourself in a huge room with a two-story ceiling, filled with the sound of water. The air is cool and alive. A waterfall cascades down from a gigantic ring at ceiling height and falls into a black stone pool. Dark benches allow you to sit down at the pool’s edge, and at this point, you need to.
You’ve walked through five hundred years of unbelievably terrible histories. You need to sit and think about it; you need a space of contemplation, and this room – both dark and full of cascading light – offers just that. Each of the four walls contains inscribed quotations, but the one that draws your eyes is by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: “We will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
I hope I can revisit these exhibits. I also hope you will get to visit the museum and find exhibits that provide you with your own
private, individual moments of reflection and inspiration.
I enter this Black History Month feeling as helpless and hopeless as I have in many years (say their names), yet I also know that the moments we step up to inhabit the day and the call, with others beside us, are how change has come, over and over again.
Be the change you want to see. I’ll join you.

Born into slavery in 1860, Swann made history in 1888 when he stood up to police officers during a raid on an early drag ball in Washington, D.C.
After being falsely accused of "keeping a disorderly house" and sentenced to 10 months in prison, Swann courageously and determinedly wrote a letter to President Grover Cleveland asking for a pardon. Though it was denied and he was forced to serve the time, Swann's tenacity and vibrancy didn't diminish as he continued to be a leader in the drag ball community, where he was known as "The Queen".
Marsha P. Johnson was a Black transgender activist and drag queen who played a crucial role in the Stonewall riots of 1969.
With her flamboyant style and activism, Johnson co-founded Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries (STAR) with Sylvia Rivera, dedicating her life to advocating for the personhood and rights of marginalized groups, including sex workers, and those in the LGBTQ community.
paying tribute to their lives recognizes the multidimensional aspects that contribute to the richness of the Black community.
The events and environment he cultivated were a source of community and celebration for Black people, featuring singing, dancing, and the popular cakewalk. These events would ultimately pave the way for the modern ballroom culture that spawned the vogueing sensation.
Johnson also fought against police brutality, housing discrimination, and the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Her activism paved the way for the LGBTQ+ rights movement and she remains an icon for the trans community, inspiring future generations to continue the fight for equality and justice.
Each of these individuals left their distinct mark and continue as sources of inspiration in this new era. During Black History Month,
Due to the extensive historical, legal, and social persecution of those in the LGBTQ+ community, it’s very difficult to know for certain how many Black heroes and sheroes may have been queer. However, advocates and others believe it is crucial to acknowledge and recognize the various LGBTQ+ experiences and identities within Black history, as well as to unearth and bring attention to the tales of those who have been suppressed and/or overlooked.

that my co-founder and I started, because we didn’t feel like the voices of women of color were being addressed in beauty — that they were the afterthought. And what we wanted to do was not only give them products, but give them voice and community within beauty. My co-founders, Brian Bordainick and Julie Schott started a brand called Starface. Starface is more than just pimple patches. Starface is about giving the next generation a different way to think about acne and community around it and reducing the shame. And so we all got together to think about what was the impact we wanted to make next.
It was very clear we were all interested in women’s health. And so we thought, “let’s take our learnings from beauty and apply that to women’s health’ and think about how we could tell a different story for the next generation. How could we bring voice and community to the areas of shame within women’s health? Our belief is that if we do that, well, we can change the face and narrative of women’s health, and that will be the biggest impact we could make.
BVN: Julie is one of few emergency contraception brands to be available over the counter, with no prescription needed. What impact will this have on underserved communities?
A: Our belief is that by giving people a box that is beautiful and approachable and looks like anything else they would have picked up in personal care, that will help reduce the shame at the store, meaning more women will find it more comfortable to buy the product. We also think by providing content and education online, dispelling a ton of myths, we can empower people to really make the best decision for themselves because they understand what they’re buying and they understand how their bodies work. So, that’s one thing.
The other thing is we have an impact program called Julie for All. Julie for All, not only houses our one-to-one donation program, meaning for every Julie purchased, there’s a Julie donated. It also is where we activate with all of our nonprofit partners across the US. So, it’s more than just giving a product. It’s also
about creating content and activation in those communities we serve. So, when I think about how do we reach people in marginalized or disadvantaged groups, I think they need what everybody needs––access. They need content and they need empathy. We are providing that to people of all income ranges. Then, especially for those that cannot afford us on shelves or may be even too embarrassed to purchase on shelves, we have our impact program where we have amazing donation partners all over the U.S. that can help women.
BVN: Julie was being offered in some bars across other states, which is really interesting to reach people. You mentioned dispelling myths, what are some misconceptions and myths that people do have about emergency contraception? And how is Julie addressing them head on?
A: Because these myths are not only known, but they are deeply ingrained, we have a mountain to climb to really put out the correct information and to talk to people in a really direct and head on way about how EC actually works. I will say the two biggest myths about emergency contraception are one, that it’s the abortion pill or that it can cause an abortion. That’s simply incorrect. Emergency contraception is about preventing pregnancy, where abortion pills and abortion care are about ending a pregnancy. We’re coming in well before someone is even pregnant. EC delays ovulation; no egg, no fertilization, no baby. And so as easily and thoughtfully and interestingly as we can describe that and say that and make content around that, we are committed to because that is the number one misconception.
The second one is that you can only take EC so many times. So, there’s this myth that we get on Reddit that you can only take EC twice. And after two times you run the risk of being infertile, and that’s also not true. There is, in fact, no limit on the number of times that you can take EC and there is no correlation between taking EC and fertility. While it is not an everyday birth control, it also has no impact on fertility. We’ve got to talk about that as well and we have to make videos and articles and be at medical

We need to be as loud with the truth as people have been with the lie.
BVN: Julie was released during a time where reproductive rights are being threatened across the U.S., with people losing access to reproductive health resources. How do you feel knowing that Julie will be an option to people who have little to no resources?
A: Absolutely. Look, I’m from Charlotte, North Carolina. I live in New York now, but I’m a southern girl. And I know that when you are in the South and you are in the Midwest, you were taught that there’s things that are impolite. You were taught that adults and authority means everything. It’s a different culture, it’s a different way to think about yourself relative to your family and to your community than maybe people who are from the West Coast or who live in the North.
When you have these restrictive laws and in areas where people are already not comfortable talking about sex and women’s health even, it restricts it even more than I think people realize. I am so incredibly proud of what we’re able to provide, not only from a content perspective, [but] an access on shelf perspective and an access for those who cannot afford us on shelf perspective. Because I think it’s really deeply ingrained cultural attitudes that we’ve got to change — hearts and minds. It’s more than just the product. And so in the wake of Dobbs, it really just gets me fired up. But there’s even more work that we can do to change that narrative for people and in the states that are most affected.
BVN: Is there anything else you’d like to add?
A: We feel very much committed and excited about the donation partners that we work with. They range from big to small partners that are really engaged in their community. If you or anyone else knows partners that we could get free emergency contraception and content to, we would love to partner with them. Follow this link to learn more.
Julie currently has more than 20 partners across the U.S. including Black Women’s Blueprint, Sister Reach and Frontera Fund.
